What started as a dream has become a God-inspired project fueled by our love for people, adventure, and the beauty of East Texas.
Spread across 60 heavily treed acres, our property offers RV and tent camping, as well as two fully furnished cabins available for short- or mid-term rental (see photos and booking at heavenlyhavenandhideaways.com). Guests can gather around the large communal firepit, enjoy games like tetherball, volleyball, and horseshoes, or relax in the open field with a frisbee or a couple portable disc golf baskets. Trails wind throughout the property, including a small creek and endless opportunities to explore. The trailhead is located just south of Site A.
We’re conveniently located just a few miles from Tyler State Park, where you can swim, bike, or rent paddleboats, and the Caldwell Zoo, known as one of the best small zoos in Texas. Shopping, museums, and great food are close by, along with unique stops in nearby Lindale—like Miranda Lambert’s Pink Pistol boutique.

Our homestead is a few acres in East Texas, near Hawkins. The land has been untouched for about 30 years, maybe last used for cattle grazing. We're keeping the property as natural as possible, we live here off-grid and off-pipe.
There’s a 17 acre lake that we share with neighbors. It’s full of bass, bluegill, crappie and catfish, we encourage catch and keep fishing since the lake could use a little fishing pressure. We also have a beaver pond, and resident beaver.
Some of the wildlife we see regularly: fireflies, turtles, cardinals, bluejays, hummingbirds, kite birds, frogs, opossums, armadillos, beaver, river otter, road runners and rabbits. Weekend Trip to Seven Acres Campground
This stay was as described plus some! Most importantly for me is always having my coffee and there's a cute little cabin "tea house" with a kitchen for long stay use plus coffee, tea, and snacks. It was adorable and quite a surprise because the listing said a coffee maker was in the laundry room. Untrue and should be updated to reflect how cute the standalone "tea house" really is! The bathhouse should really be called luxury bath cabin. It is really nice, very clean, and just steps from the cabin I stayed in. It's shared among all cabins so that could turn some off, but it was so nice that I absolutely didn't mind. The area is really pretty, filled with trees and flowers, and sweet outside cats. Right across the street from the lake. The road noise might be busy during prime season but overall, this stay was quiet and relaxing, more than a simple overnight campsite, which was just what I was looking for.

Thanksgiving weekend, our first Hipcamp stay. The site is as described and perfect for our visit. Not having sewer hookups is a non-issue if you manage water usage. There is a CEFCO gas station a few miles south on hwy 259 that has an rv dump station for a small fee. We did not meet the host but she was quick to respond to our emails. We thoroughly enjoyed our tent camping experience on Site #1 on Cody and Ingrid's land. The site itself was incredibly spacious and felt private. We especially loved the nearby pond, which was the perfect starting point for a beautiful trail that loops right back to the campsite. They showed us around the place and told us about all the amenities of which there are many the hot tub the trails the movies, well stocked Cabin exercise room library the animals it was just a really great place to gather we all had a a great time and we’re able to relax and enjoy. I had so much fun with my pup at the ranch! It was a wonderful experience and one I absolutely want to have again. My dog and I were able to explore the property and I love that he was able to be off leash. He is a very well behaved dog and it was lovely he got to be wild and free. Our trip on Christopher’s land was fantastic! The property was beautiful and a wonderful escape from the city. The pond was a really nice element, and we manage to catch a perch and a bass before a cold front came in. Christopher was very attentive and even brought us extra firewood when we requested it after arrival! His hospitality was extraordinary. The process was very simple and I would certainly return to this spot in the future.

Will definitely book again. 60 acres to roam and I was lucky to catch the leaves changing. They’re serious about allowing dogs off leash. Not an issue for me. I love dogs and enjoyed my several sweet dog visitors.
