When you camp at Mariposa you have privacy and great views to explore while being a short 5 minute drive outside the restaurant and hotel district of Amarillo. Come enjoy the beauty of the Texas panhandle at Mariposa!Currently there is significant construction on the main road to the property. The property is still accessible, however, we cannot guarantee access for vehicles over 35ft long. The entry is currently loose gravel and moderately steep. As construction continues over the coming months, we expect this to be fixed to allow unlimited access.If you have questions please email message or phone after booking.

We are just getting started with this so you’ll be able to help us from the ground up. If we are not in a burn ban you’re welcome to have a campfire. There will be opportunities to call up a wild coyote or watch some mule deer or an occasional antelope stroll by. You could even be awakened by the horses on their way to water in the morning and we can set up some horse riding if we have enough notice to schedule time off from the 9-5 haha.
