49mi from Martin · 1 siteWelcome to Bawks and Braaps Farm, our little slice of country life in rural West Tennessee. We’re conveniently located near Kentucky Lake and the Tennessee River, with boating, fishing, hiking and outdoor recreation nearby. Spend the day exploring Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park and Pilot Knob, visit the Patsy Cline Memorial or Birdsong’s freshwater pearl museum, catch a movie at the local drive-in, or head into downtown Camden to explore our charming Court Square, local shops and eateries. We’re also within easy day-trip distance of Paris Landing and Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills. Set on 6.5 acres, our property is a mix of wooded areas, open green space, gardens, and everyday farm life. We have chickens, potbelly pigs, friendly farm cats, and other animals around the property, along with a self-serve farm stand featuring whatever is fresh, homemade, or available that season.
Life here is pretty simple and laid-back. You might spot deer or wild turkey wandering through, hummingbirds buzzing around during the warmer months, and evenings are filled with the sounds of crickets and frogs under the country sky. We’re a real little homestead, so things aren’t perfectly manicured or resort-style — and that’s part of the charm.
We live on the property, with our home located up the hill from the camping area. Guest sites have their own designated spaces away from the house, so you’ll have room to settle in and enjoy your stay while still having us nearby if you need anything. A hammock and private fire ring are provided for guests to enjoy. Firewood bundles are also available as an optional extra.
Whether you’re stopping for the night or staying a few days, we hope Bawks and Braaps feels like a peaceful little hideaway where you can slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and experience a bit of country life.
