It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, Blackstone grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill. A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

The secured shelter is located atop the ridge on our property. The hiking trail is 0.46 miles long with an elevation gain of 328 feet. I can pack in your gear and provide transport for young children with my ATV. There is no electricity, but water and an outhouse are available. Inside, you’ll find a wood stove for cold weather and an outdoor fireplace on the porch. The shelter includes two indoor bunks with camping pads provided, along with two hammock hooks on the porch. The bathhouse was really clean, had towels and wash clothes for you to use also. The place is fenced, so if I let my dog off leash after the other tenants left. Nice place and I will visit again and hopefully have more time to spend!

Everything is a close walk, the creek/lake is pretty central to everything and it has plenty of fish. Although the fish seem to only bite for meat not artificial bait. Once you have meat on the hook you can see them show up in groups for it. All the animals were friendly, or at least curious about us and gentle with our toddler. July makes it too hot and too mosquito-ee to get out and enjoy the trails but the land was beautiful and have no cell service preventing those never ending work calls and emails was amazing as well.

We really liked the cabin and its rustic yet contemporary feel. However, it seems like it wasn’t intended for use during Tennessee summers where it can be 80+ degrees inside at night. There was a propane heater which I imagine would make this a really cozy place in colder months but obviously we didn’t need it for our stay. The fans & power bank that the host provides plus having the windows opened helped but it was still uncomfortable.

Driftwood Treehouse is cozy, private and pet friendly w/Queen and sofa beds. All you can see is forest from the porch. You can even see the firepit while laying in bed!

Grounds are well maintained, easy to find, comfortable bed and a remote controlled a/c unit were good first impressions. I loved the Birdsong cabin! Would definitely recommend staying there! The tent sites also looked really nice. Amber was great! She made us feel welcome and showed me her animals and was so friendly.

Weekend Trip to Clayton Geneva Memorial Camp Ground

Was an amazing place to just be with your loved one. Quiet and secluded from all the hussle and bussle of life. Highly recommend it if you ever just want to get away with your plus one or just some needed you time. But please don't be fooled thinking it's just for singles or couples. With a small air mattress placed under the raised Queen bed the youngsters now have their very own fort and resting place. It sits roughly 20 yards from the Cumberland River where we fished and swam then spent the evening relaxing under the trees by our small fire.. the host(s) Myke and Amber were amazing as well, they checked on us throughout our stay and offer a wide variety of services to make your stay even more comfortable. When the wife and i broke camp and slowly headed back to our busy lives simultaneously we said as we hit the black top.... Let's book this place again on our anniversary.......

1 night at Camp David on Cumberland Plateau

There was an amazing amount of sleeping options in the tiny space, with a semi-private queen size bed with full linens, a full size futon, and 2 twin beds in the loft. There is also a hammock on the covered porch, tons of lounge chairs both with and without cushions, and a full table with chairs. Shower toiletries, soft and strong toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, and towels are all included. The toilet flushes, the outdoor shower heats up and I cant think of anything the outdoor kitchen is missing! My kids also appreciated playing with the cards and jenga. The creek is nearly dry, but we are in a heat dome this week (a couple battery operated fans we brought cooled both rooms enough for sleep). No electricity, but everything else you could want in glamping is there. If you forget basics or just want a soda, there is a convenience store maybe a couple miles down the street.

1 night at Awakening Adventures

We were greeted on arrival, shown to our parking and given the lay of the land with great courtesy. Our family of four slept peacefully in the big tent, no pest intrusions or temperature issues. Our 5 year old loved the space as a giant playground, hopping across circled stumps and discovering the swings as she explored. My wife loved the unpretentious tone and how well equipped the outdoor kitchen is. The highlight for us was our dog’s experience. He immediately became best friends with the homestead dogs and had the absolute time of his life during our short stay.
