Cabin is located 6 miles from I 75 Tennessee exit 49 about midway between Knoxville and Chattanooga. The cabin sleeps four. Bedding is provided for one double bed, one single bed, and a cot.
Kitchen includes stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and basic cookware and utensils. Coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper are stocked.
We have plenty of room to park a trailer or turn around a boat you travel with. Several access sites on the Tennessee and Hiwassee Rivers are nearby. Chickamauga Lake section of the Tennessee River is accessible within 15 minutes and is one of the best bass fishing lakes in the US. Several waterfalls are in easy driving distance as well as the Lost Sea, the largest underground lake in the USA.
On the property activities could include, harvesting seasonal fruits and vegetables, gathering eggs, foraging for mushrooms, hiking in 17 wooded acres, or building a campfire.

Off the grid, out of the way, rustic 10 acres where you can pitch a tent, take a hike and enjoy a campfire. Mostly wooded with nearby sites to explore, a few swings for fun (swings have recently been removed due to trees falling) and a fantastically cold SEASONAL mountain creek for cooling off.
Always improving our place, we recently removed the 'cabins', which had become unsuitable for use.
The property is part of a community, which you may notice on the way to the campsite. Site 1 (The Swings) will be first left after you turn into the driveway. It is a U shaped drive, at the bottom of the U, park and walk 15 feet to site. Site 2 (Main Container) is at the end of main driveway, next to container. Drive to end of driveway, park and walk 10 feet to camp. Both are equidistant to the outhouse. There is a trail (tagged with red) that goes all the way around the property, a top half and a bottom half that will take you by the creek. Please look through all of the listing information.
The SEASONAL creek at the bottom of the slope is wonderful and there is a spot for two adults to sit down into the crisp water and plenty of room for lots of feet. If you follow the path in the middle of the property, a 30 minute walk (therefore not on our property) will take you to a beautiful swimming hole. It's cold! There is no power or running water at the property so it's an ideal place to get away from daily life and truly relax. We hope you will enjoy it as much as our family does!
Please note that even though some pictures show buildings, there are no longer cabins/shelter on The Land. We are unable to remove pictures Hipcampers post. It is raw 10 acres so, yes there are ticks. Cover up and spray as you see fit, just be aware. Also, since it is 10 acres of trees, there is plenty of firewood. We don't leave any bundles, just find down limbs and presto, firewood. DO NOT USE THE MAP LISTED OR GOOGLE MAPS; it will take you straight through water. We send detailed directions to you once the day before your booking. Please plan to travel in with daylight, it is incredibly difficult to navigate to our space in the dark. Also, on the way to Fall Creek Mennonite community is Fall Creek Falls Riding Stables. They provide a guided horseback tour through the woods. It normally takes an hour.

Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

Find peace at this private campsite close to Watts Bar Lake. Nestled in the tall trees, your large, private site features a fire pit, picnic table, and a “Tennessee Bathroom.” Site is nearly 100% shaded all day long. The area is surprisingly quiet. Deer, turkey, turtles, frogs, and cardinals have all been seen on the property. Before you exit your tent in the morning, stay quiet and look out first - who knows what you might see. Parking is right next to the site.
Watts Bar Lake is within a few hundred yards and a public boat ramp is just about 3 minutes down the road. Watts Bar is over 72 miles long, 722 miles of shoreline, and is known for good fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, and other recreation.
This is a good base for day trips to Knoxville, Chattanooga, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Smoky Mountain National Park.
Note: Bring your own tent/supplies, or options include tent and/or propane tank rental. Pack out your own food, animal, and human waste. As this is private property, it is still the woods of Tennessee, so expect all that goes along with that. This property is in development, so added lodging and amenities will come on line in the future. We welcome your feedback.

We had campsite 18 which was nicely secluded. They provided a stack of firewood and it was easy to find kindling in the surrounding woods. The bathrooms were very clean. A very nice place to spend the night.

The campsites were very nice and conveniently located near the nature center of fall creek falls. Each site has large rocks to sit on and fire rings made of stacked stone. Some sites have shelters and there is a very clean port a potty. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a really cute, small barn-style space that clearly had a lot of handmade character and charm. You can tell a lot of it was built with a personal touch, which gives it a unique feel. That said, the ladder leading up to the loft was very petite and a bit difficult to use. Overall, it has potential and a lot of charm! We loved the plants and garden.

Sarah's little farm is wonderful! We had such an amazing trip. We set our trailer up next to her barn which has electric and water. We had a view of the empty fields behind her property, just beautiful. We were able to help with milking the goats and feeding the babies too! Sarah was the nicest host and very laid back. Our 5 and 7 year olds had the best time! Sarah even played a little ball with my son. This was exactly what I needed after a stressful few weeks. I can't wait to go back!!

Wow, this property is an absolute gem! After a grueling week of traveling, we desperately needed to unwind and found the perfect place to do so. Nestled in the serene field, our truck camper provided a sense of seclusion and tranquility. The breathtaking views were simply awe-inspiring, and the host was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The morning after our camping trip, my son spent hours playing with the adorable baby goats, which was a delightful experience for both of us. We couldn’t express how much we needed this place to rejuvenate our spirits. It’s definitely on our list of places to return to the next time we’re in the area.

My husband, small dogs, and I went on our first primitive camping experience here and WOW! Thomas’ spot is a secluded, beautiful gem. Everything was well mapped and explained beforehand. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at his site and plan to be back again very soon to enjoy the swimming hole!
