We are located about 11 miles from exit 116 on interstate 40 in the beautiful farming community of Chesterfield, Tennessee where there's an abundance of wildlife including our own team of Khaki Campbell guard ducks and a piebald whitetail buck named Lucky who enjoys hanging out by the levee. Lake access is included with each site reservation. Life jackets required at all times for those with paddle please. Canoe rentals available upon request. Camp sites 1-3, the boat ramp and main parking area are located at the main entrance and offer gravel roads and parking. Look for the LAL logo on the left gate post. Camp site #4 the hiking trailhead and our back country campsites are located at the east entrance. Look for patriotic fence post near the road. If you end up traveling a long paved road that leads to a boat ramp with lots of parking, you zigged when you should have zagged. Turn around and lazy acres is across from where that road ends. Follow the access road along the tree line down to the water. The hiking trail is to the east across the footbridge. Look for white AT style blazes for trail markers. The blue blazes leading to each campsite. * All gates are open 24 hours when campers are present.

Tiny Dreamer Homestead

Welcome to Tiny Dreamer Homestead. If you are traveling through or just want to get away, we would love to host you! The land is mowed down, lush green with some trees in the middle and just all around beautiful. I just added 4 gravel Rv pads and gravel paths around the homestead as well as 6 large wildflower gardens. Right now there are no activities on the land. Just a place to stay if someone wants to camp or you can walk on the paths. If you have a golf cart, you can ride those on the property. I do own 22 chickens which are a delight and I sell farm fresh eggs. Produce coming eventually. I also rent my tiny house on wheels on Airbnb. The camp sites have not been broken in yet so the spots are not in a designated area yet. There are 4 tent camp spots to choose from. The photos you see are the areas you can choose from. I supply a fire pit for your use during your stay.

THEM... and like so many others, you will fall in love just like we did - so much so that we became part of the official breed-up program to bring this wonderful breed to the U.S.! (You're welcome!) :) We currently have 10 wonderful Valais Blacknose sheep and lambs! We also have 3 adult Nigerian Dwarf goats, 4 baby goats, the sweetest miniature donkey you'll ever meet, named "Walther," and a shy mini horse named "Harry Houdini!" :) All of our animals have free-range of our property during the day, but are penned up at night to keep them safe. *** IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We strongly recommend bringing ear buds/plugs to block out the barking of our LGDs (livestock guardian dogs) through the night. They're just doing their job, but if you're not used to it, you may not sleep very well, so please bring ear buds or plugs! They absolutely love people, so they may get curious and try to come hang out with you in your tent! Because of this, we can provide you with a spray water bottle to keep them away from your tent. It's an unharmful way to keep them at bay, so please let us know if you'd like to have it on hand during your stay. Additionally, we strongly recommend bringing boots for walking around on the farm, as well as clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Especially in rainy weather, the grounds can get very muddy, and beware of animals who sometimes jump when greeting guests! Please do not hesitate to scold any of the animals should they jump on you! They are sometimes overly friendly and need to be reminded to mind their manners! *** Come pitch your tent (or rent one of ours, subject to availability!) on the grass or on the wooden deck near the edge of our pond, or walk our beautiful 19 grassy and wooded acres to find your favorite spot to set up camp. Proposed Carroll County Recreational Opportunity I would like to introduce the citizens of Carroll County and all interested parties to a proposed startup tent only campground on 72 acres adjacent to Mustang Cove at the new lake. I propose to offer a rustic or primitive tent camping experience and hope to enjoin the collaboration of the Caroll County 1,000 Acre Recreational Lake to provide kayak and canoe access to the adjacent shallow and shady shoreline. I solicit input and interest from local churches, scouts, 4H, and others and request your assistance and support. The Camp Carroll project is intended to provide a low impact environmentally and family friendly outdoor recreation experience for local residents and other interested parties; this includes but is not limited to the following: day use (CC Lake and general site), overnight tent and future small TT camping, canoe and kayak on 13 acres site ponds and CC Lake. The Project will allow local users the opportunity to camp/kayak (or learn) locally with convenient access to home or town markets. Churches, Boy/Girl Scouts, 4H and other users will have an additional local nature - based outdoor recreational opportunity available. Local is also extremely important convenience for the handicapped or other limited access populations. Needless to say, this regulation is not only cost prohibitive but in my opinion, also promulgates unsustainable erosion and habitat degradation. Plan B envisions development as a daycamp operation with picnic pavillions, bbq pits, volleyball, horseshoes, frisbee golf, etc with canoe, kayak and peddle boat access to ponds and the shallow end of the 1,000 acre lake. Plan C would be just build a multipurpose residence shareable with family and friends. Pland D involves the services of a good realtor.
