The property has been in our family for many years. The location used to be in soybean and wheat fields but now is in hay. We are located 1.4 miles south of Interstate 40 (Exit 193) in Hazen, Arkansas with easy access. We have had many great guest come and stay on our property and have been able to recharge for the next days journey. We have 13 RV hook ups and plenty of room to boondock and camp to get a safe and quiet nights sleep. Please add this as an extra (located at the bottom of the listing) for $15 so we can get you setup with the best site available. Hookups are $20 + $15 for $35/night. We are in the heart of deer and duck hunting in the state of Arkansas. It’s a perfect spot to get a good nights sleep to get refreshed to hit the road the next day!

Hookups are on the “wrong side”- power reached no problem but needed our extra length water hose, and Andrew provided extra length to reach septic. The hipcamp spots are separate from the RV park meaning you will get a quiet night with lots of privacy. The park is located just minutes from the interstate. Perfect for someone in transit and not looking for a longer stay.

If a wetsuit isn’t your style, a day of boating, fishing, and exploring the lakes inlets should satisfy your sea lovin’ heart. Those wanting to stay landlocked can explore almost 500 miles of shoreline. Trails wind through limestone cliffs, historic native dwellings, and past plenty of epic views for those toting a camera. Spelunking and world class camping are just a stone's throw from the shores of Beaver Lake. No need to wait, pack up your gear and gather your friends for a weekend of exploring this happening watering hole!
When to go
The prime time to visit Beaver Lake and Dam is during the spring and fall when the weather is mild and the natural scenery is at its peak. Summer months bring warmer temperatures perfect for water activities, though it's also the busiest season. Winters are quieter but can be chilly, making it less ideal for camping and water-based adventures.

Good value. Only problem we had was arriving after the entrance fee gate closed we had a lot of difficulty finding the RV dump station to empty our tank before setting up at the campsite...the online map showed two dump sites that were either nonexistent or blocked off access. Finally found it on the side street just before the entrance fee gate station, altho be aware that the location is not level and tilts your trailer tank backwards so it will not completely empty if your tank pipe is on the forward side. Also, the recreation.gov confirmation email does not list the address for this campground so we had to rely upon guessing which location description in Waze & Google nav would get us here (hint: there's no "campground").

Such a beautiful place! I actually lived on Beaver Lake and wanted liked to go weekend camping here because it was only a 10 minute drive from my house. The best campsite is at the very back up the hill... I can't remember what number it is but there's a playground nearby and you go right to a round about sort of (I think there's a tree in the middle of it) and the campsite is a little hidden, that's the best one.

It can be difficult to find open camping on Beaver Lake in the on season. I particularly enjoyed this spot because while primitive camping is offered all of your neighbors will be camping in RVs. They have waterfront campsites but beware: these are not sandy beaches they are mud.
