We are located approximately 5 miles from Custer State Park, 11 miles from Keystone the Gateway to Mt. Rushmore in the beautiful southern Black Hills. We loved staying at Bear Den! Tammy and Tim are the most welcoming hosts — we immediately felt like a part of their family! As our 5-year-old told us when they went back to their house after greeting us… “They’re so nice, I wish they didn’t have to go.” :) The cabin was cozy and perfect for our family of four. We were extra impressed by the cleanliness of the facilities, and amenities we didn’t expect. Our kids loved exploring the property, seeing the stars at night, and waking up to watch the deer right outside the cabin. The location was great, and pretty central for all the things we wanted to do. Our whole family hopes to visit again, and we will tell all our friends to make a trip to the Black Hills to stay with Tammy and Tim!

Our stay at Melissa’s Hipcamp site was incredible! The cabins were so nice and cozy, and the outdoor kitchen and shower were great. The property is beautiful and we were so happy we got to stay there on our road trip. I only wish we could have been there for longer!! We will definitely be coming back!

We loved staying at the Bear Den cabins! Tammy gave us clear instructions to where/how to find it and was very communicative and friendly! 😊 The location is quiet and secluded, other than the sound of the neighbors clucking chickens (which I loved!), and the passing turkey and deer through the property. We had our two dogs, which I reached out in advance about having multiple dogs and she was very accommodating. We’d love to be back!

The cabin was cozy and just what we needed. We did bring a mattress topper as we noticed from the images the mattresses are thin and I would highly recommend bringing a topper. Tammy and Tim are wonderful hosts. They took me out to their disc golf course in the back. They made rounds every night to wish all of the campers good night. The location is peaceful with animals like dear and turkey walking around in the morning. It is close to so many of the cheife attractions in the area.

So thankful to Missy and Chris for sharing their property! They are not only gracious hosts, but just really wonderful humans. The duo cabin set up is amazing! They had everything you need to to relax, cook, and enjoy nature. We also had great neighbors that joined for a fire at night and swapped stories while enjoying the evening. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the outdoor shower is a heavenly way to wash off a day of exploring. I can't wait to spend more time at Naked Acres!

Melissa and Chris were very welcoming & their property is absolutely gorgeous. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing getaway with beautiful scenery & wildlife. The pond was a great added bonus. The cabins were so charming and we didn’t want for anything, as everything was already thought of by the hosts. We will definitely be back and plan on bringing some friends as it’s a must see. Also the drive in was surrounded by wildflowers. Stunning!

This property is amazing! Tammy gives a personal tour of the amenities and all they offer, and makes sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay, The bathroom with multiple showers and sinks, utility room with microwave and washer, and the covered deck with a grill were above and beyond what we expected. The kids had a great time with the yard games and seeing the horses too.

Melissa and Chris were amazing hosts! The location is unbelievably beautiful and peaceful. The cabins are small and tidy and were perfect for my husband and me in the bedroom cabin and our teenage son in the kitchen cabin with futon. They have a friendly dog that got along well with ours. Chris stopped by to make sure we didn’t need anything. We enjoyed it immensely and would definitely recommend this stay!! (Outhouse was also very clean)

Although I am new to Hipcamp I can say without a doubt that what Tammy has here is special. She greeted us as soon as we got there and even introduced us to other campers there as well. It was a small gesture, but still very nice. The amenities are fabulous and the bathrooms were awesome! We will definitely be back when we have more time to stay!
