We loved camping on Tammy’s land! There were some other families and couples nearby and it was nice to meet everyone else at the campsite.

2 nights at Bear Den Cabins & Camp

The atmosphere is calming and peaceful, away from any hustle and hustle of tourism. Bears Den is less than an hour from any popular attraction in the area, including Mt Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial. Available are some canvas tents, set up like a bedroom at home. Also available is a small cabin, as well as sites to set up your own tent. I was able to use my hammock, with a few trees close enough to do so, in my tent site. Tammy is very warm and welcoming Hostess. She'll do anything within her power to make you feel more comfortable. She helped make my South Dakota visit the best I could imagine.

BethAnn's place offered full hookups, a lovely area with chairs & a fire ring, a beautiful view & it's very easy to find. We took the 111 mile bike trail with our eBikes which was a delight & rode over 3 hrs. It's great location makes it easy to go & see Mt. Rushmore, The Badlands & Crazy Horse Mnt. I highly recommend BethAnn"s place for an RV or to rent o ne of her cabins. Thank you BethAnn for a great experience!❣️

Incredible place to stay at. It's very apparent how much love Tammy puts into the space. 10/10 would recommend. Showers and bathrooms were spotless. Even though we didn't use them, the microwave and ice in the kitchen could be super nice to have for other campers.

Nice little meadow, clean facilities. Actual cowboy managing a little herd next to it, fun for the kids!

This campground was very hospitable for our group. Jennifer assisted us with having the perfect site for our party of 4 rooftop tent campers. We were escorted to our site among the pines and along the national forest boundary.

Each site is lovely, looking out onto the natural land beyond with tons of pine trees above. Having hot showers and charging stations available was so convenient for me being on the road. And the owners are super kind and friendly!

This was a great tent spot. I usually would steer clear of places with so many RV spots. However this place was great, under lots of pines, friendly staff, and tent sites were tucked back from the RVs. Would stay again.

1 night at Bear Den Cabins & Camp

I have camped a lot but this was the best campsite I have ever stayed at. The location was gorgeous and was in perfect proximity to the Badlands, Wind Cave, Custer, and Mount Rushmore. There were so many amazing amenities included: showers (that were spotless), grills, gazebos, lawn games etc. We brought our own tent but Tammy also offers cabins and platform canvas tents which we hope to try in the future. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone. This made us hate all of our other camping spots on our trip.

Weekend Trip to Stagecoach Stays

We had such a great stay at Stagecoach Stays! The sites are large, level, full hook-up, and easy to access — perfect for big rigs like ours. The location is ideal, close to everything in the area but still peaceful and quiet. Clark and Shelley are incredible hosts — so welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind. Their property is beautiful with plenty of room to roam, and we loved meeting their friendly horses! It’s the perfect home base for exploring the area. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!

We loved camping here. We had a beautiful sight that was right up on the black hills forest. Very clean and tidy campground. They even have a dish washing area by the bathrooms which was great to wash my baby’s bottles. Jennifer was so nice and more than accommodating. Would absolutely come back here again!

My wife and I loved tent camping at Bear Den Cabins and Camp! Tammy was great host and very welcoming. The campground was clean and the bathrooms were spotless as well. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!
