Guests are welcome to fish and use the fire pit area on the river. There is also a small Airbnb on the property. The river, fire pit area are to be shared with all guests. The campsite is located next to our bathhouse that offers a shower, toilet, sinks, and washer dryer unit.
Property line runs along the large pine trees near the river, we ask that you stay on our property only. The surrounding area is still cleaning up from Hurricane Helene. HWY 176 from Saluda to Tryon is closed. Come to the property from the Tryon side.

We are only 1/2 a mile from the Interstate 85. So bring your tents, campers or your small RV and come and setup down by the babbling creek. If you don't have or own a tent, we have a large 6-8 person tent available for a small rental fee too. Build a nice fire in the fire pit. The firewood and kindling is provided. The campsites are semi-wooded areas with plenty of shade. They are very large private, peaceful and quiet sites.
View the stars at night, play in the creek during the day or if you are into biking or hiking, go to the Overmountain Victory trail located about 15 minutes away and enjoy the 6.7 mile loop around Lake Whelchel right off I-85.

Fishing and Tent Camping on a beautiful privately owned naturally spring feed 2.5 Acre pond. Pond fully stocked with Catfish, Yellow Carp, Buffalo Carp, Bass, and Brim. We do allow eating size catfish under 5lbs to be taken from lake. Large catfish and all other types of fish are catch and release only. No fishing license required. Typically caught fish weigh in at 20lbs plus. Some catfish as large as 80lbs. Enjoy peacefully fishing all night with your friends and family on a lighted fully stocked pond. We are only 1/2 a mile from the Interstate 85. So bring your tents, campers or your small RV and come and setup down by the babbling creek. The campsites are semi-wooded areas with plenty of shade. They are very large private, peaceful and quiet sites.

Fishing and Tent Camping on a beautiful privately owned naturally spring feed 2.5 Acre pond. Pond fully stocked with Catfish, Yellow Carp, Buffalo Carp, Bass, and Brim. We do allow eating size catfish under 5lbs to be taken from lake. Large catfish and all other types of fish are catch and release only. No fishing license required. Typically caught fish weigh in at 20lbs plus. Some catfish as large as 80lbs. Enjoy peacefully fishing all night with your friends and family on a lighted fully stocked pond. Black Bear Farms was the perfect stay. My daughter and I had the place to ourselves, it was very clean, easy to find, and so peaceful. Steve was incredibly attentive and flexible, especially when we accidentally picked the wrong spot at first and he was totally fine letting us stay put.
We really appreciated the local recommendations and only wish we had more time to explore the area, especially Travelers Rest. Tandem for crepes absolutely lived up to the hype. We’ll definitely be back and would absolutely stay at Black Bear Farms again.

Host was very responsive to messages. Site 2 has no one around you, which i like. The one bad thing is the road noise. If you are a light sleeper the road noise is very loud.

Craig's land along this wide and floatable creek was definitely a very sweet spot! As others have said, there was a bit of hwy 25 road noise during the night but nothing some ear buds and white noise couldn't handle. Our hosts were gracious providing quick daily check ins to make sure we were ok and not in need of anything. The clean bathroom, hot shower, rural setting and cold creek were a major plus for this Hipcamp.

The site was great, we had the place to ourselves as the other site was not booked the evening we were there. It was peaceful, well maintained and had ample wood available; The flushing toilet was a huge plus as well. David was great with communication and made the stay completely hassle free. Directions were precise and Gaffney, town with plenty of stores and restaurants for resupply, was only about a 15 minute drive from the site. Would absolutely book again.

The place is a dream come true! First camp of the season and we couldn’t have asked for a better place or better hosts! Ray and Shannon were amazing! Very welcoming and helpful! The bathhouse is super clean! The location is BEAUTIFUL! Tons of room for our dogs to run around and they have a hiking trail that takes you around the property. 10000000 out of 10 recommend! Best part was the stars at night and free fire wood. We used a lot because it was 30 degrees at night! We will definitely be back 😁
