The Sanctuary at Edisto river is amazing! I originally booked just a few days during Christmas, but I loved it so much that I extended my stay through New Years. Dustin was very welcoming and engaging, while also giving us space to enjoy the property.
My favorite parts were:
- The beautiful outdoor shower with a rain shower head.
- Access to FREE laundry in an inviting and well designed bath house.
- The Gazebo was fabulous! Loved relaxing on the sectional couch while watching TV and enjoying the beautiful view of the river and large patio.
I would 100% go back again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique glamping experience.

I really enjoyed staying at Dustin’s way more than at a noisy State Park. It was so peaceful there near the river. I saw many shooting stars. His bathroom was very clean.

Spending the night in our small RV at Dustin’s Edisto River RV resort was way beyond our expectations. There are only two sites on the property so privacy and seclusion are excellent. The restrooms facilities are VERY nice and are shared between the two sites. It was very cold during our stay (21 F) so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the screened in cabana with sofa and tv during our stay but did get to enjoy cozying up to the fire pit in the Adirondack chairs. Can’t say enough good things, will be returning soon for a longer stay and use the kayaks to paddle on the Edisto. Our beagle loved the trail down to the river.

Truly a hidden gem. My daughter and I had a daddy/daughter weekend while mom was away for work. It was the most relaxing trip, very peaceful with the exception of some people doing what I assume was target practice for awhile. The site was excellent. We spent most of the time in the gazebo watching movies. The hot tub is different than pictured and is an inflatable one. Make sure it's on and running when you get there. Very nice bathroom and OUTDOOR shower. I already have another trip planned in a a few months. Dustin was excellent with communication and always responded very quickly.

This place was magical. Dustin was so kind, accommodating, and responded to questions very quickly. Site 2 has a hot tub that was perfect! Everything is clean. Perfect "glamping" location with landscaping all around you. We loved relaxing in the gazebo, spending time outdoors without losing the luxuries usually found indoors, like tv and fridge. Little to no insects. Cobblestone fire pit. Beautiful lighting and romantic atmosphere. Kayaks for use. Washer/dryer and laundry soap were provided. My husband was obsessed with the outdoor shower. I was grateful for the warm, clean, gorgeous bathroom. We went for a late evening stroll, and the fairy lights and trails were beautiful. We were truly impressed! We WILL be back!

Dustin’s place is luxurious camping. He offers a top notch bathhouse with washer and dryer for your use. The outside shower is wonderful! You pull your Class B or C right onto the level gravel site with beautiful landscape with pavers that lead you to your own private pavilion that is screened in with a fan , mini fridge outdoor furniture. Your own private fire pit with firewood for a small fee. The lighting is beautiful at night. The pond with the water fountain is so tranquil. This is my go to spot for relaxation at its finest!!

This was the best RV camping experience! Not only was the site beautiful, it was clean and excellently maintained. Bathroom/laundry room was very clean. Views were amazing. It was quiet and so serene. We felt like we were on our on private oasis!

This was my husband’s and I’s first time ever taking out our new sprinter van. We were a bit nervous but when we pulled into our campsite we knew we’d be fine no matter what happened. The grounds were beautiful! The landscaping everywhere, the crushed pebbles, the brickwork, the gazebo and fire pit was all beautifully designed. The gazebo had a L shaped couch with a fan, fridge and TV. A great place to relax. There was a main bathroom that was so clean and it also had a full size washer and dryer. There was a fantastic outdoor shower. The grounds also had a large common area with horse shoes and corn hole. At night there were lights lit up all around. You could also walk down to the river. When we set up camp we were nervous if we were doing the electrical correct and I messaged Dustin who responded immediately. He even checked in with us the next morning. Dustin also suggested a place we could go mountain biking which we did and that was great too. I would highly recommend this Hip Camp and the host, Dustin. I hope we weren’t too spoiled with our first experience at a Hip Camp as this one has a lot to live up too!

We really enjoyed our stay! Dustin was quick to respond to any questions we had, met us upon arrival and has done a beautiful job setting up the place. It’s resort like with the level pad, paved area with fire pit, Adirondack chairs and picnic table, screened cabana with tv. Bathroom is clean and modern. Outdoor shower was clean and a great touch! We will stay again!

This place was amazing. Very peaceful at night with the sounds of frogs, insects, owls. Less than an hour from Charleston. Great and responsive hosts! Would definitely come back here.
The outdoor shower and fully equipped modern bathroom with AC and laundry make this some comfy camping!

This place has it all! Easy to find, pretty private, all the amenities that you would want and a host who is a great communicator. We loved the screened gazebo - watched a couple of movies out there. The amount of thought and planning that went into this site is evident, definitely one of the nicest we have ever camped at. Highly recommend- you will love it!
