These hosts really care about their guests. Yes, we are repeats, but there is a reason for that. As a woman camping, I know I am safe! So whenever I camp here, i can really, truly, relax. Truly a hidden gem. My daughter and I had a daddy/daughter weekend while mom was away for work. It was the most relaxing trip, very peaceful with the exception of some people doing what I assume was target practice for awhile. The site was excellent. We spent most of the time in the gazebo watching movies. The hot tub is different than pictured and is an inflatable one. Make sure it's on and running when you get there. Very nice bathroom and OUTDOOR shower. I already have another trip planned in a a few months. Dustin was excellent with communication and always responded very quickly.

This place was magical. Dustin was so kind, accommodating, and responded to questions very quickly. Site 2 has a hot tub that was perfect! Everything is clean. Perfect "glamping" location with landscaping all around you. We loved relaxing in the gazebo, spending time outdoors without losing the luxuries usually found indoors, like tv and fridge. Little to no insects. Cobblestone fire pit. Beautiful lighting and romantic atmosphere. Kayaks for use. Washer/dryer and laundry soap were provided. My husband was obsessed with the outdoor shower. I was grateful for the warm, clean, gorgeous bathroom. We went for a late evening stroll, and the fairy lights and trails were beautiful. We were truly impressed! We WILL be back!

John’s place was beautiful, this was my first camping trip in a tent and it was perfect to say the least! Even though there are other sites, there is so much privacy. He also let us use his canoe which was nice Saturday afternoon to fish for catfish. Overall the trip was great and would recommend to anyone.

Quiet, small compound for no more than 6 campers. You are on top of a hill from which you can glimpse the lake. Walk down the well maintained path and onto the dock and the view of the lake opens up. I enjoyed bird watching and star gazing while I was there. I plan to return.

Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

Getting to the site was well marked. Thank you! The area was private, exactly what we were looking for. , our firewood was waiting by the fire ring when we arrived (add on fee). We had plenty of space to spread out and we did not see other campers. There were hunters nearby, so we stayed away from the property line. There was plenty of place to walk our dogs, and lots of room for our girls to run free. They do not roam far, so they didn't get anywhere near the hunter areas. We visited in mid-October, and the air was crisp and there were no bugs. Quite a difference from just 3 hours further Southeast. If we come this way again, we use Hilltop or maybe one of the river sites. Lovely area!

1st time but I will be back! John is a great host - and the site (Hideaway) was perfect! John shuttled me to a kayak launch, and the firewood bundle I pre-purchased for 1 night easily covered both nights of my stay. Quiet and peaceful, lots of deer, and a chill time. Not only will I be back on a solo adventure, I'll be bringing my family, too. Highly reccomend!

This was an amazing place to camp! Mike and Kelly were great hosts: so communicative and accommodating, they even started a fire for us when we got in later than expected after dark. It was very peaceful and clean, I loved sleeping next to the river. Would surely stay here again next time I’m in the area!

Dustin’s place is luxurious camping. He offers a top notch bathhouse with washer and dryer for your use. The outside shower is wonderful! You pull your Class B or C right onto the level gravel site with beautiful landscape with pavers that lead you to your own private pavilion that is screened in with a fan , mini fridge outdoor furniture. Your own private fire pit with firewood for a small fee. The lighting is beautiful at night. The pond with the water fountain is so tranquil. This is my go to spot for relaxation at its finest!!

We have camped all over and are from Texas, and this was our favorite camp spot! We got to fish right from our spot! We even got to use John’s canoe!

Kelly and Tony were gracious, friendly hosts. They are incredibly helpful and worked to accommodate our needs. I threw a small surprise party for my husband at Moon Glow Haven and it was the perfect space to eat BBQ and listen to the band. The property is beautiful and well kept and easily accessible. We always enjoy visiting Moon Glow Haven.

Pee Dee and the Grand Strand

The Pee Dee River runs all the way from the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina to Georgetown on the Atlantic Coast. This northeastern slice of South Carolina is best known for its Grand Strand beaches, whether camping at the hugely popular Myrtle Beach resorts, bird-watching at Huntington Beach State Park, or teeing off at one of the many coastal golf courses.

Lowcountry

Hemmed in by the Savannah River and the Atlantic Coast, the southwestern lowlands are an idyllic stretch of marshlands, barrier islands, and coastal towns. Hunting Island State Park is the state’s most visited park, and a paradise for bird-watchers and campers, while RV parks dot the beaches of Hilton Head Island.
