Friendly Fowl Farm

5 sites · RVs, Tents12 acres · Saint Helena Island, SC
The farm was once a portion of the McTureus Plantation.  Tony's family members were once enslaved on the plantation. Upon Emancipation a family member bought land and it remained in the family.  Tony is a descendant of those family members whose foresight allowed us to be here today.  Tony's parents entrusted the care and preservation of the property to us and we are doing our best to be good stewards and teach the value of this property to our children and young grandchildren.

Edenhope Farms is nestled on 6 acres and is a sanctuary for rescued and unique animals. We have a Zebu bull, which are the oldest recorded bovine in history, dating back to the Bible. We have goats and peacocks, chickens, a potbellied pig, rescued squirrels, and rescued ducks. Soon to come.... Sheep!!! My property used to be the disposal site for the CocaCola bottling Company. Go on a scavenger hunt and find old bottles. Relax around the fire pit and listen to owls, wild geese, bull frogs and the Quack Pack. Lounge on the spacious deck overlooking all the farm animals or take a dip in the swimming pool. At night grill on the BBQ or have an oyster roast. Beefield Apiary

1 site · RV, Tent1 acre · Statesboro, GA
A roadside stop near peanut and cotton fields with water and power. Once upon a time a very busy apiary, now a mild beekeeping field and farmers bee supply store. We’ve a fire pit if you bring your wood. Beware the two barn cats, one who is named Cat-Dog because he greets people like a dog, follows his owner everywhere outside and is an old greyTom. Meet the retired folks who spend time with the Husky and the chickens; perhaps one of us is in one of the shops; the blacksmith or the carpenter or the beekeeping shop. We are just down the road from the Ogeechee River for fishing and kayaking.
