My pup and I stayed in the uber-comfy site 3 tent by the creek. There's a little bench where I sat and crocheted until dusk and we slept so soundly in the bed. Woke up early and hiked Vicki's suggested Moore's Cove and it was perfect. Vicki and Brian were super friendly and greeted us with literal open arms. Will stay again!

5 stars! Vicki is an amazing host and very attentive. She went out of her way to make sure my pup and I were comfortable and warm during the colder nights. The property is stunning set within the rhododendrons. Such a cool spot, not to miss! We’ll be back this Summer!

My husband and I loved this whole camping experience! The tent is super spacious with a beautiful view of the creek. We'd wake up to the sound of happy ducks playing in the water too. I have back problems and was worried about the bed at first, but man! It was SO comfortable. I was even able to use the swing yoga rig at the pavilion to do some decompression for my back. Vicki was so kind and very communicative with any and all questions. I also loved all the little signs that give detailed instructions for any and every thing. 100/10 can't wait to go back!

This was an absolutely adorable place to stay! Everyone was very friendly and it was great that there were shared spaces, but I still felt like I could have privacy at my site. The whole campground was well maintained, and perfectly located between hiking at DuPont State Forest and the night life of Asheville!

We had an incredible stay! Vicki is a phenomenal host who has clearly dedicated lots of time to creating a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy the outdoors. She had proactively reached out to me when Site 3 opened up and offered to upgrade us, so happy that we did! All of the sites are wonderful and offers a perfect getaway base camp for exploring the nearby outdoors and Asheville. We hope to be back!

We had a gorgeous trip to Pisgah Forest when the leaves were starting to change in October. Staying on Vicki’s land was a great experience. Everything was clean and tidy and exactly how it’s described on the website. It’s also a perfect location for hikes, bike rides, restaurants, and activities/shopping. We plan to go back soon to visit the chickens!

The spot was very secluded from other sites on the property and was a great home base for local adventures. Vicki was quick to respond with communications and very accommodating during our stay. The highway noise is definitely noticeable, as noted by others, but the provided ear plugs were a nice touch! The shower was hot and very welcomed after a long day of hiking.

Our stay at Vicky’s was magical! The site was spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed to have a great getaway in the woods. While there were other campers on the site, we had a great deal of privacy and loved falling asleep and waking to the sound of the babbling creek just outside of the tent. The site is just secluded enough while being close to many stores and restaurants for odds and ends. Triple falls in DuPont state park and Balsam knob were two of our favorite nearby wonders!

this is exactly what i needed-i really enjoyed my stay there! it's true, the traffic can be heard, but it slows down significantly after 8:30/9:00. i was there for 5 nights, and it did start to just become background noise. kitchen area, pavilion, outhouse, and a large outdoor/covered shower. lots of signage so no confusion on where to go. great hosts and animal hosts (ducks, chickens, turkeys, etc.). definitely recommend!

What a lovely place to stay! I have my niece once a year, who is 4 soon 5. We camped here and she and we were thrilled with the fantastic set up! We stayed at site #3. Private space. Roomy tent! I put up our hammock over the CREEK! My niece and dog loved playing in it as well. Chickens! Ducks! Bought eggs! Nature trails! Yoga! Running water! Charging station! Pots, pans, coffee cups… dish soap.. firewood for sale.. you’re set here. The hosts are the KINDEST, and you can tell that they have put in a lot of thought into the work they have done on their property 🤩 The bathroom-two thumbs up. I highly recommend and look forward to going back ☀️🤍

It's still a bit of a dream! If you're looking for a place to unwind and reconnect with a spouse or family, this is it! A secluded campsite nestled by a creek in a dense forest of rhododendrons, mountain laurel, ferns and hardwoods is where you are. You have your own picnic table and campsite to cook over or just enjoy with 2 adirondacks and a log bench surrounding it. The tent is "circus" style with a wonderful queen size bed with charming solar powered lights strung for ambience as well as functionality in the tent. There is plenty of room for additional air mattresses to accomodate more if your group is larger. There is a park bench down beside the babbling creek to be close to stick your toes in the water or just enjoy the peace. There is traffic noise during the day but the peaceful serenity of the site almost cancels it out. There is much to do within 15 min of the camp so we were taking advantage of tubing, hiking and biking as well as a delicious breakfast/brunch recommendation from Vicki, Pisgah Bakehouse! The weather was delightfully cool in the evenings to warrant a blanket- who knew the end of July?! Linens are provided for the bed including pillows. Standard camping gear of cook stove, lanterns, mosquito repellents etc are needed. Firewood is available to purchase from them or bring your own. There is a cedar outhouse that is delightfully decorated, complete with instructions. the shower/bathhouse is adjacent and hot! We may be back in the Fall!

Vicki’s place is magical! It was easy to find. My camp was easy to get to, and far away from the other camps to be secluded. The little creek running beside was perfect. Vicki was extremely gracious, allowing me to reserve on short notice. 10/10

Lovely and private space right beside the creek! We had our own fire pit and picnic bench and even a bucket “toilet “ for emergencies. Everything clearly marked from the parking lot to the site, host Vicki was extremely quick to respond. Great kitchen area and small shared fridge. Everyone was very friendly, outhouse and bathhouse were immaculate! Best shower ever with that rain shower head. Truly special location.
