Our site has a waste-bag toilet (must take waste with you), an extension cord and a sink. The site is located in a quiet field where you will often find deer grazing in the morning and afternoon. We are a young farming family. Our dream is to build a cidery on this property in future years. We have started to plant our orchard with cider apple varieties, about 650 dwarf apple trees, and we are also growing some flowers and squash at the moment. We currently have six pigs and nine chickens on the farm. Eggs and cuts of pork are available for purchase, just ask! Feel free to walk around the farm, just be respectful, don't leave anything behind, and be aware that some areas have poison ivy (the field where you are staying does not have any).

Milk Thistle Farm

With the original home built in 1785, Milk Thistle farm is on the historic register and is comprised of the main house and 5 acres of land. It is run as a small homestead sanctuary and is home to rescued chickens, goats, and pigs, as well as two humans and their dog and cat companions. The main property is fenced in, with a large back field great for tent camping, and an orchard to explore that can also double as hammock camping. There is parking for cars, bikes, and perhaps a camper but tent camping is best suited. We try to minimize our impact on the environment as much as possible, and encourage our guests to compost, recycle, and dispose of waste accordingly. Please note we have dogs, including a Livestock Guardian Dog that does bark to alert us of new people and warn off would be predators.
