From the rolling hills of Lancaster County, Chiques' Rock, the sculptured rock visible at the bottom of the Conewago Falls, the White Cliffs of Conoy, and the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail there is no shortage of adventure. Our campsite offers the combination of camping fun and an endless variety of river recreation and leisure.
Retreat to a spacious primitive river front camping sanctuary in the woodland setting, nestled under the trees, where privacy and seclusion create a relaxing family-friendly experience. Our campsite is first time camper or camping enthusiast friendly! Whether you are feeding the need for your family's adventure or looking to get back to nature and relax, River Rock Recreation campsite can accommodate your needs.
You will find yourself living a unique outdoor lifestyle during your stay at River Rock Adventures campsite. A private launch allows kayak, SUP, and other paddleboat access. Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. I have a one bedroom, queen size bed, kitchenette, private restroom and outdoor shower with on demand hot water. There's plenty of room for tent or van camping. Please see pictures for detail. I live in the house above the glamping quarters.
Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay.
The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area.
Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here.
I live and work here, part time blacksmith and wood worker. I'll assist you in any way or do my best to stay out of your way.

The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent.
You will have this space to yourself.
The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. There is a wooden platform with a small structure on it. You can stand underneath the platform and it can provide some shelter, if needed. (The structure is being renovated for a new experience next summer.)
The pavilion is a short walk and has 2 bathrooms, a shower, and a kitchen. **The kitchen is only available if the pavilion is not being rented**. There is an additional fee to rent the kitchen. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

We will be decorated for Halloween. We are currently working a scary trail.
Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine.
We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are!
As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future.

Welcome to Aberdeen Mills-a 40 acre farm and grist mill! Make some memories at this unique and beautiful place!
You will be staying in the Shepherd's Hut on the creek. We cater to couples in this setting. The Hut consists of one room with a Queen bed. We provide all bedding and towels. Enjoy sleeping in our enchanted forest designed shepherds hut. Keep the windows open to listen to the sounds of the creek as it lulls you to sleep. Or, if you re too hot or cold, turn on the portable A/C & heating unit! You will have access to electricity to charge your devices, make coffee and turn on lights! There is no wifi out here, but you can use your own cellular data for internet needs.
If you have a child, we can provide a futon, bedding and set of towels for an additional cost of $25. (Keep in mind that the Hut and surrounding area is not child proofed inside/out and open waterway is very close to the hut.) Please let us know as soon as possible so we can have the futon available for your stay.
Glamping here is fantastic! You will have a private outdoor shower to use right next to the Hut. Hot water available seasonally. Please confirm with host as to hot water availability. Biodegradable body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap/dish soap is provided and we ask that you use the provided products to help us protect our natural surroundings - especially the creek.
Please keep in mind that water provided to the shower and outdoor sink is not drinkable (not potable), however, we do provide water for drinking/cooking/brushing teeth that is from a 5 gallon bottle with pump dispenser.
A separate toilet room is available right next to the hut as well. It is equipped with a bucket toilet which requires eco- bags and kitty litter (both provided). The full bags are then tied and disposed of in a larger outdoor trash can just outside.
Use the fire pit just outside the hut for grilling or use the gas grill with burner that faces the creek. Basic kitchen supplies are provided (please refer to pictures for details). There is also a picnic bench facing the creek. Walk the trail through the property and enjoy the cool shade. Pack a picnic and enjoy eating on the moss covered boulders next to the water, play games in the yard, snooze in a hammock, meditate by the creek or take a swim in the swimming hole.
Enjoy privacy while in the hut, or join us on our morning chores (we live in a house on the property), by feeding the animals and gathering fresh eggs. During the day, cross the bridge over the creek to get to the beautifully maintained Conewago Recreation Trail where you can walk or ride bikes.
Our rural setting is a relaxing spot to stay after a day of seeing the sites or visiting Hershey Park just 15 minutes away. We are 10 minutes to the train station which will take you to all the surrounding major cities - DC, NY, Philly and others for a day trip too!
Experience a bit of history while staying in the Shepherd's Hut. The houses, grist mill and bank barn were built with sandstone brought to the property by wagonloads in the 1770's. Just think! This homestead was built before the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Revolutionary War began! Stay in or explore the 40 acres of property consisting of woodlands, creek and farmland. The grist mill and other buildings require host to accompany guests in order to enter and we are happy to give you a tour!

We are located along the banks of the mighty Susquehanna River in Conoy Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. An area rich with historic significance and breath taking natural scenery. From the rolling hills of Lancaster County, Chiques' Rock, the sculptured rock visible at the bottom of the Conewago Falls, the White Cliffs of Conoy, and the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail there is no shortage of adventure. Our campsite offers the combination of camping fun and an endless variety of river recreation and leisure.
Retreat to a spacious primitive river front camping sanctuary in the woodland setting, nestled under the trees, where privacy and seclusion create a relaxing family-friendly experience. Our campsite is first time camper or camping enthusiast friendly! Whether you are feeding the need for your family's adventure or looking to get back to nature and relax, River Rock Recreation campsite can accommodate your needs.
You will find yourself living a unique outdoor lifestyle during your stay at River Rock Adventures campsite. A private launch allows kayak, SUP, and other paddleboat access. Public boat launches near by that allow for trailer and boat access. Fish the river banks all day and night for the biggest catch or teach a new generation of fisherman the love of the sport. Hike or bike the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail, explore all it has to offer on its 14 mile stretch from Falmouth to Columbia. Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. I have a one bedroom, queen size bed, kitchenette, private restroom and outdoor shower with on demand hot water. There's plenty of room for tent or van camping. Please see pictures for detail. I live in the house above the glamping quarters.
Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay.
The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area.
Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here.
I live and work here, part time blacksmith and wood worker. I'll assist you in any way or do my best to stay out of your way.

The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent.
You will have this space to yourself.
The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We will be decorated for Halloween. We are currently working a scary trail.
Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine.
We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are!
As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future.

Welcome to Aberdeen Mills-a 40 acre farm and grist mill! Make some memories at this unique and beautiful place!
You will be staying in the Shepherd's Hut on the creek. We cater to couples in this setting. The Hut consists of one room with a Queen bed. We provide all bedding and towels. Enjoy sleeping in our enchanted forest designed shepherds hut. Keep the windows open to listen to the sounds of the creek as it lulls you to sleep. Or, if you re too hot or cold, turn on the portable A/C & heating unit! You will have access to electricity to charge your devices, make coffee and turn on lights! There is no wifi out here, but you can use your own cellular data for internet needs.
If you have a child, we can provide a futon, bedding and set of towels for an additional cost of $25. (Keep in mind that the Hut and surrounding area is not child proofed inside/out and open waterway is very close to the hut.) Please let us know as soon as possible so we can have the futon available for your stay.
Glamping here is fantastic! You will have a private outdoor shower to use right next to the Hut. Hot water available seasonally. Please confirm with host as to hot water availability. Biodegradable body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap/dish soap is provided and we ask that you use the provided products to help us protect our natural surroundings - especially the creek.
Please keep in mind that water provided to the shower and outdoor sink is not drinkable (not potable), however, we do provide water for drinking/cooking/brushing teeth that is from a 5 gallon bottle with pump dispenser.
A separate toilet room is available right next to the hut as well. It is equipped with a bucket toilet which requires eco- bags and kitty litter (both provided). The full bags are then tied and disposed of in a larger outdoor trash can just outside.
Use the fire pit just outside the hut for grilling or use the gas grill with burner that faces the creek. Basic kitchen supplies are provided (please refer to pictures for details). There is also a picnic bench facing the creek. Walk the trail through the property and enjoy the cool shade. Pack a picnic and enjoy eating on the moss covered boulders next to the water, play games in the yard, snooze in a hammock, meditate by the creek or take a swim in the swimming hole.
Enjoy privacy while in the hut, or join us on our morning chores (we live in a house on the property), by feeding the animals and gathering fresh eggs. During the day, cross the bridge over the creek to get to the beautifully maintained Conewago Recreation Trail where you can walk or ride bikes.
Our rural setting is a relaxing spot to stay after a day of seeing the sites or visiting Hershey Park just 15 minutes away. We are 10 minutes to the train station which will take you to all the surrounding major cities - DC, NY, Philly and others for a day trip too!
Experience a bit of history while staying in the Shepherd's Hut. The houses, grist mill and bank barn were built with sandstone brought to the property by wagonloads in the 1770's. Just think! This homestead was built before the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Revolutionary War began! Stay in or explore the 40 acres of property consisting of woodlands, creek and farmland. The grist mill and other buildings require host to accompany guests in order to enter and we are happy to give you a tour!

Beautiful, secluded, and incredibly cozy. The barn we stayed in had full amenities and was very comfortable. The hosts were wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. We loved our stay! Anne was very welcoming and helpful. The property is in a rural farming community, yet only 20 minutes to Kennett Square or Longwood Gardens. It’s very relaxing and quiet. Anne has a mudroom on her house that we were able to use that has a bathroom and sink. While the spot is in a carriage house driveway (we were also offered an option a little further away in a field), you still have a good sense of privacy. Anne left eggs and some veggies on our doorstep the first day. The entire trip was great and we’d definitely return. Anne is a lovely host who goes out of her way to make sure you are happy.

The camp site was perfect!! The distance from the car to the site was nice so moving the camping equipment was a breeze. Mel was an awesome host!! She was accommodating and very welcoming!! She made sure my friends and I had everything we need to make our camping experience pleasant. The environment was quiet and scenery. Her pets( a dog and alot of cats)were friendly and wanted lots of attention. She is in the process of building and remodeling. I can't wait to come back when she has everything settle!!!

This camp site was great! Bathroom in their home was close by, as was prepared firewood. Chickens and horses greeted us in the morning, which was a great surprise! It was a nice, quiet spot. Would recommend!

Great spot! Tom and Anne are incredibly sweet hosts, and my dog Charlie and I really loved the site. We ended up staying at the RV site, which is a little further from the house and is enclosed by a gate, which allowed me to let Charlie run free. Very cool to hang out with the goats, cows, sheep, and chickens and watch the Amish buggies roll by.

Gorgeous views, quiet, clean, and plenty of hiking opportunities made this a wonderful weekend away! Joe was beyond kind and accommodating, though we did not have the pleasure of meeting in-person (next time!) I loved having the private trail access and I could easily modify my hike any way I wanted, from private and quiet to public and challenging! Plenty of space for my tent and gear, lots of provided seating for around the fire, and a cute little shower space if needed. Directions were very easy! Joe shared that some changes are coming to the space, and I'm really looking forward to another visit!

I love spending time at Craig's property. This was my second visit and somehow it was better than the first trip which was amazing. We weren't able to paddle bc the creek was down, and it wasn't impactful to our fun at all. Just book it! And if you can check out the nearby dirt race track BAPS, fun for kids and adults alike.

We had a lovely fall weekend glamping on Gini’s land. The site is beautiful and well maintained and the tent is very comfortable and filled with everything you could want even for cold weather camping. Gini’s hospitality was also exceptional (going out of their way to provide extra blankets and hot water bottles to one of our party who camped in a tent), and the land is perfect to walk through. Our dogs enjoyed the freedom safely. Will definitely be back!

Peter was great and so accommodating! The site was large and felt like we were in the middle of the woods. We headed to Marsh Creek to walk the trails, enjoy the playground (which is good for all ages), play in the sand, and have a picnic lunch overlooking the water. It was about a 15 minute drive and a fun day for the kids before heading back to camp.
The site itself was surrounded by trees so even if someone were staying at another one of Peter’s sites, it would have felt secluded and like we had our own space. The toilet was clean and extremely close (20 steps) but positioned in a way that it didn’t feel in the way at all.
We’d definitely go back!

Everything was clean and well maintained. Loved the wooden platforms, string of lights, fire pit. Unexpected bonus was some firewood and two hammocks already set up. Gorgeous view of the river and so convenient to the bike trail. Check in was a breeze. Note: As an active freight rail line goes alongside the bike trail and river, do expect train whistles and noise several times a night.

I can’t say enough great things about our stay at White Squirrel Overlook! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and there was so much space to stretch out and unwind. We were in town for a dog sporting event, and it was such a gift to return each day to a hot, sparkling-clean shower after competing. Audra was wonderful to communicate with—friendly, responsive, and welcoming. We’re already looking forward to booking our next stay!

This was my second time at Craig’s space and it did not disappoint! Great eating, beautiful scenes and amenities galore. Me and four other friends set up a tent down by creek and woke up to some of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve seen in a while. If you’re into birding, we heard and saw all kinds of amazing feathered friends.
Our dogs explored every inch of the property and we got a chance to kayak pretty far down the Conewago creek. Craig was a master host, incredibly responsive but gave us plenty of room to feel like the space was our own.
I can’t recommend this spot enough!
