About Tyme Farm is a 26 plus acre privately owned farm used for crops such as corn, soy beans and sunflowers. The property includes a 150+ year old stone farm house, large historic barn on the barn quilt tour in Carroll County, renovated camping cabin for those not into rough camping, fields, streams , woods for hiking, plenty of wild life and lots of quiet. The farm is surrounded by other farms in the agricultural preservation program yet you are only 5 miles from stores, movies, antiques and other aspects of civilization or entertainment if needed. Enjoy watching the deer come out of the woods and meander along the stream and fields at dusk and return in the morning. Electric, water, fire pit and a Port a Pot is available even for rough campers. Pets welcome but must be on a leash or exercise pen or with their owners in some way while here for their safety. There is a large fenced yard for dogs that just have to run if needed. Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.

We are very close to the Aughwick creek where there is kayaking and fishing. There are many trails in Huntingdon County. We are about 45 mins away from Lake Raystown dam where there is boating and camping and trails. The 1000 steps is a popular hiking trail. We have a recently remodeled farmhouse for short term rentals. There is a spot for a motor home that would have electric and water hookups.

The cabin was perfect for what I needed. A few quiet nights. At the price point, you can't beat it. Probably one of the nicer "rustic" cabins I've seen at any campground. I didn't get to try them, I'm pretty sure they have atv/dirt bike trails on the property which is cool. Bathrooms were like 15 steps from the front door, which was nice.

I loved staying at the summer kitchen because of the beautiful country views, countless amenities, wonderful host, and the peacefulness of the land in general. Bathroom and shower are very nice and the seperate kitchen area allowed me and my partner to cook several elaborate meals. Tam helped us with whatever we needed and she made this trip perfect. Also, all of the cats, chickens, and dogs are so adorable and well behaved! Thank you so much for a wonderful getaway and I will definitely be returning :)

Weekend Trip to Urban Saddle Ranch

My husband, myself and our golden retriever, Nala, had a wonderfully relaxing kid free weekend. Monique was quick to respond to any questions and met was very friendly and kind when we met her face to face. Urban Saddle Ranch had comfortable and clean cabins, adorable animals, and was well maintained. We loved listening to the water feature in the pond and the bullfrogs at night. We will be back!

Karen's place was a step up from camping when I was a child. We had wildlife walk up to the campsite. Karen and her crew were helpful and nice with any issues we had. It was my girlfriend first time camping and she enjoyed it. The only downside of our trip was the weather but even that we made do watching it from inside the cabin.

Tamara‘s land was a unique experience full of beauty! It was like staying at a museum., Tamara was a wonderful host, full of knowledge of the area. The location was perfect for resupplying hikers on the Appalachian Trail which it was our main reason for visiting. But we also loved relaxing under the shade of the trees, listening to the birds and surrounded by beautiful fields! It was a wonderful relaxing vacation!

We spent the weekend at Tam's farm as a get away from Baltimore city hustle and bustle. Our family is 2 adults and 2 kiddos (2yo and 5yo). We had a wonderful, relaxing, and quiet weekend. Tam's homestead has everything we needed: activities for the kiddos like a tire swing, crafts, and a "horse," chickens to feed, and a sweet old dog and cats. The adults had a great time relaxing in the soft grass, enjoying the sunset and making fajitas over the fire pit. We spent Saturday morning relaxing and Saturday afternoon at a creamery nearby, visiting amazing vistas, and swimming in Cunningham Falls state park, all within a short drive. Tam's property is beautiful and historic and gives a little insight in how farm life felt back in the 1800s. Tam is such a great host - we could tell she's a seasoned hip camp host- and helped us with anything we needed including hot water for our coffee and cream and sugar. Tam goes the extra mile for her guests and it shows that she cares about her guests' stay. If you're looking for a relaxing trip away from the city, close to beautiful nature and state parks, comfy beds and sweet old dog, Tam is your girl.

3 nights at Star Lee Farm

We loved staying at the Star Lee Farm. The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and I. There was enough firewood for us to have a fire all day the one day and a few shorter ones as we needed other days. The walk to the outhouse was short and the views for that area to the surrounding mountains and trees was beautiful. The cabin was remote, we could see the other one through the trees if we tried but no one was staying there. They checked in via message a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything and restocked the bathhouse halfway through our stay. We were just a short drive from hiking at a state park which was great.
