We will be decorated for Halloween. We are currently working a scary trail. Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine. We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are! As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future. Elmlock was named by MJ's Grandfather for the majestic Elm trees that once graced the property and banks of the Tulpehocken Stream passing through the Union Canal lock. These beautiful trees were devastated by the Dutch Elm Disease in the early 20th century. Elmlock and the surrounding area was surveyed by non other than George Washington as plans were formulating to build a canal system to join the Schuylkill and Susquehanna Rivers. The General stayed with his friend Captain Michael Lei on the adjacent farm, once known as the Tulpehocken Manor when visiting the area. The ruins of one of the canal locks remains on the Elmlock property adjacent to the camping area. The 1838 stone farmhouse was built by the Spengler family and acquired by MJ's Grandfather in 1913. MJ's pottery studio is a local "Town Barn" that was relocated piece by piece to Elmlock by MJ"s brother, a Historic Restoration Specialist, in 1974. He also restored the Bake Oven on the property's Summer Kitchen. Our property features an historic canal lock from 1828 Union Canal and a stream that runs through it. There is a RR track that runs just south of our camp about 10acres away For campers who love to watch or hear trains you'll have plenty of opportunity to do so!  You can enjoy fishing and playing in the water, which is fresh, clean limestone water from a nearby quarry. We also have two small goats on the property. Farm land surrounds the property, wooded area and cattle nearby. This is a secluded property but less than a mile from Rt 422. You can bike along the many back roads nearby!  We also offer pottery classes, drawing classes, painting classes, and also Medicinal wild plants walk etc. for an additional fee.  See our extras below if you are interested! Historic places to visit and only 20 miles from HersheyPark. Also we are only 15-20 min from the Historic Appalachian Trail! And Blue Marsh Recreational park The latrine is spotless clean This year we have apples! Lots and lots of wonderful organic apples to take home and enjoy!

this campsite was absolutely beautiful. i didn’t realize how many campgrounds there were and also how private they can be. the view was amazing, the owner is very nice and helpful. my dogs and i explored the trails nearby and i spent the evening reading by the fire. 10/10!

We stayed three nights over a very windy Thanksgiving holiday. The view truly is spectacular (Site #5). Just as important were the well kept grounds and amenities. The clean outhouse was a short stroll from our site, and the site itself had a nice picnic table, fire pit, non-potable water (for the fire), and three bundles of firewood (that we ordered). The instructions from our host Jake before our arrival were also very clear and helpful. We highly recommend this to all campers!

I enjoyed my stay at the Organic Farm in the Pocono Mountains. Eric greeted me on my arrival and the space I stayed was serene. They were hospitable and available for questions and hiking suggestions. I also felt safe being a solo camper. The Delaware Water Gap was less than 20 min away from the campsite!

Weekend Trip to 100 Mile View Camping, Jim Thorpe

I absolutely adored my stay here, especially at the "Old Piney" campsite. We stayed for two nights. Arriving after dark on the first night was a bit tricky due to Apple Maps issues and difficulty identifying the specific sites, but we managed without too much hassle. That said, having a map of restroom locations beforehand would have been helpful, as they were hard to find in the dark. On the plus side, the host responded to our questions (call don't text for quicker responses) and provided a 5 Gal jug of non-potable water to extinguish our fire, which was a great safety feature. The first night was cloudy with rain, so we missed the stars, but watching the sun slowly unveil the stunning view through the clouds by mid-morning was gorgeous. We hiked around the property to check out other sites; next time, I’d love to book a longer trip to explore the neighboring towns. The second night was magical! Since we were just past the new moon, the stars were incredible, though it definitely got COLD. The next morning, we opened our tent to a spectacular sunrise beaming through the distant valley. We enjoyed one last fire before packing up. The owner/manager keeps the grounds extremely well-maintained and makes rounds to check on guests before locking the main gate for the night (though guests can still come and go). I've been through this area countless times in my life and never knew something so stunning existed here. Highly recommended!

this campsite was absolutely beautiful. the views were vast and incredible, it was easy to find and the full hookups were straight-forward. just don’t forget to check for ticks! we found multiple on us and our dogs. all in all, it was the perfect stop for us on our way to connecticut. we will definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful camping site. Has a restaurant near by. They also have a winery and events. They sell wood (I will add a picture). Owner came and checked on me which I thought was very nice. The potta o potty was super clean. I don’t think I’ve been in one that smelled so nice. The sites are well numbered and easy to find. The only thing I didn’t like was how close the camping sites are. In the summer time there is probably more tree coverage and it probably feels more private, but I still think they’re a bit too close. I would definitely visit again but I would reserve the neighboring spots as well. All in all, I highly recommend this spot. The views are beautiful

Weekend Trip to Dj Duncan's Piece of Heaven

Absolutely beautiful dairy farm and we had the opportunity to take an impromptu hay ride with corn maze employees to check out the Christmas Village which amazing. “A little slice of Americana”. DJ and Loretta were super nice and let us explore the whole farm, talk to the all the cows. Even made a new friend Benny the cat who hung out with us at our campfire. 10/10 We will definitely be back!!!

Fantastic stay! The farm is amazing and site #3 was beautiful. We had the perfect weekend. Host was very friendly and the communication was great! We felt very welcome. Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is just a few minutes away and the site itself is nicely set up, very quiet and private with a picturesque view of the mountain. Highly recommend! We are already looking forward to returning.

The campsites at the organic farm are great, spacious and secluded. A lot of birds and several deer were attracted by the pond. The farm is very close to the city and the trails, at very convenient spot for everything one needs. Communication with Eric was excellent! I would come again anytime.

Weekend Trip to Peace & Quiet by the River!

This is our second year staying at Susan's Christmas Tree Farm campsite! and we'll be back again! I think going late October almost insures you'll have the whole place to yourself which makes for a really peaceful and relaxing stay... probably a little too cold for some but I love the cold! Campsite is always prepared and clean, stocked with your (pre-purchased) firewood, water and a sink to clean dishes and a cool little port-a-potty! The view of Hawk Mountain is incredible especially with a lit night sky and the moon! last year we hiked Hawk Mountain and this year we hiked a bit of the Appalachian Trail only couple miles form the campsite. My favorite local place for beers and a burger is McKeansburg Hotel and Tavern great bartender, service and friendly local hangout! I highly recommend this place!
