2.Dogs A- Permitted on Leash: We understand that many campers enjoy bringing their furry babies along for the adventure. Dogs are welcome at our campground, but they must be on a leash or a run. The fields have some groundhog holes, and we would be devastated if your dog was running and broke a leg if a leg slipped in a hole. We just want them safe.
B- Awww poop! Alot of people use the camping area as a barefoot area so please clean up their poop.
3. Quiet time after 10PM: This just means no screaming. Play your guitar and sing until the sun rises if that makes you happy.
4. Alcohol: We would prefer you skip the drinks and just get high, but if your soul needs a drink please drink responsibly. (Don't be that guy)

Sunsets and sunrises often seen and photos taken by many guests. Mostly grass with some gravel areas. Plenty of space for dogs to run and play. This spot is best for a van camp location but plenty of space for tents and hammocks. You'll find a drive-up deck if you wish to park there. Firewood is available providing you use downfalls as kindling in the stone fire pit. A 8x20' deck and picnic table are 20 feet from the fire for stargazing. When the ferns are full grown they are 3 feet tall and everywhere. A 10 minute walk takes you through a dense pine forest with large rock formations and a nice creek with many gurgling fall areas. If there looks like a cave amongst the large rocks, then it probably is a bear den.
There is a lot to do near by. Some note worthy locations :
Cranberry Glade Lake (good for kayaking or fishing), Ohiopyle, 7 Springs, Fallingwater, Living Treasures, Caddie Shak, and Hidden Valley are all about 25 minutes away. This property also borders Laurel Ridge State Park.
There is a Dollar General and a gas station about 15 minutes away for convenience needs.

We began operating our 150 acre farm in 2011 and became the first Certified Naturally Grown Livestock farm in West Virginia in 2013. We raise 100% grass-fed beef, Western and Chinese medicinal herbs. Our family garden supplies more than half of our vegetables and our favorite berries, and our flock of chickens supply eggs and an early morning wake-up call for our campers! We are also 20 minutes from Herrington Manor State Park (MD) were there is a lake for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Cathedral State Park (WV) a virgin Hemlock forest with 400 year old trees about 45 minutes away. Deep Creek Lake (MD) is 40 minutes away and offers motor boat rentals, Golf, Skiing and swimming. There is skiing, hiking, biking, tubing, rafting, kayaking and much more to explore within 40 minutes of our farm. The best white water rafting on the east coast is 20-40 minutes away.Farm products are available for purchase on-site. Campers can choose to to have a farm to table meal cooked for them as an extra at checkout. We prepare most of our food from scratch using local produce, meat and bulk organic dry goods. We occasionally make yogurts, noodles, simple cheeses, and fermented foods.We welcome campers of all kinds!

This property and farm has been in our family for 3 generations. In 1964 my grandfather started the campground due to limited camping at New Germany. My father tells stories of it being filled with guests all summer long! Over the years there was few upgrades and now it's in need of a facelift. Landscaping, electric upgrades and bathhouse remodels were completed Spring 2021. We will continue to renovate in phases it's been a labor of love, but you can still see the beauty of this rural location and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Lots of trees, shade and nature. It's located near New Germany State Park, 1.5 miles by car, less than a mile by foot. The state park has a lake and hiking trails. Garrett County has so much to offer, waterfalls, lakes, hiking, skiing, Amish gifts, history, fresh air, beautiful scenery. The campground was first started in 1964 by my grandparents, we are currently completing renovations in phases.

We loved our stay at Barnum Cliffs! We stayed at the RV site for two nights and wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the land and enjoy the peaceful site. It was so private, secluded, and quiet…just what we were looking for. We didn’t see or hear a soul. The hosts were very quick to respond and very helpful. There was firewood at the site but also a ton of wood around the site to use as well. To top it all off, we saw our first black bear at dusk walking up the mountain from the river…such a hi-light! We’d definitely return if we are looking to camp in the area again in the future!

The driveway is steep but thoroughly negotiable. At the top, is a large area where we were able easily to back our 25' travel trailer into the designated spot, and we were able to leave without backing and filling. HOWEVER, after we set up our trailer, it rolled back off the blocks the jack was on! It was only caught by the wheel chock behind one of the rear wheels! Had it kept going, it would have rolled down the hill in front of the house and onto the road below. BE SURE TO CHOCK YOUR WHEELS FIRST THING! The angle is NOT steep, but it was enough for this incident.
Also, Cliff Mine Road seems to have a split personality: a mile from Ian's place is an intersection. Three roads come into that intersection. Each of the three are named Cliff Mine Road. Ian lives on Cliff Mine / Enlow Road! Be sure to include the Enlow in your GPS navigation tool!
This all sounds serious. One does need to be aware of these two matters. But Ian and Kaitlin are wonderful, and the spot is very nice. Electricity only -- no water or sewer, but for one or two nights (we stayed two), it was excellent.

Ian's HipCamp was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting a relative in Pittsburgh for a few days. The spot was near highway access and close to shopping and restaurants. We especially appreciated the asphalt driveway and the safe, peaceful neighborhood. Hookups were sufficient and grouped for easy access. The yard was spacious, and there was plenty of room to park when we unhitched from our travel trailer. Communications were timely and easy. We highly recommend this HipCamp!

I was in late and out early. This place is great for a traveler’s much needed R&R. It’s got all the basic provisions for recharge, refill, and discard trash. The gravel is level, the neighborhood is quiet, and if you’re facing east the sunrise is a can’t miss feature. Host is friendly, communicative and takes the time and effort to make this a great camp.

Ian's place was perfect for our needs. It was close to everything, but felt pretty private considering it was next to the house. They had electricity which was a plus. It was very easy to communicate with Ian. The place was easy to find and set up. Would definitely use them next trip to Pittsburgh.
