We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Greg's site. The photos don't do justice to the beauty there or show the extent of the amenities offered (looks like the inside of the tent has been updated since they were taken), everything we needed and more. Just to set your expectations straight, it is not secluded. But still worth it. There were neighbors who made noise when we were there (talking into the night, operate machineries during the day) But surprisingly, it didn't bother us. We couldn't see them and still felt like we had privacy in our own world. There were some boats on the lake but people were friendly and passed by quickly. Some highlights: kayaking, serene morning with the mist covering the lake lifting ever so slowly, lying on the dock looking at the night sky, sitting on the swing watching leaves dance. We also appreciated the clean bathroom just steps away, comfortable bed, Greg's attention to details and especially that he kindly let us check out late. We've been raving about this place to everyone and would return in a heartbeat.

We had an excellent time for a weekend at this listing. Greg was the best host. We had everything we needed. The place is right by the lake and it's so beautiful. We also went kayaking both days which was perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Greg's property is awesome, much better than the photos! The room is great - very comfortable bed, roomy fridge, tons of outlets, and even a small TV! The deck and outdoor spaces are also awesome - we grilled all weekend and enjoyed time by the lake, making campfires and just relaxing. The view is so beautiful and serene. Multiple stores and restaurants are only an 11-minute drive away. We 100% plan on coming back next summer!

Stayed at Greg’s lakeside tent and had the best time. Super clean, comfy bed, spotless bathroom and the AC and mini fridge made camp life so much easier. Kayaks available and waking up by the lake was amazing. Greg was friendly and helpful. Some say it’s not secluded and technically it isn’t but it’s damn near close. Saw comments about people using the dock which is not true. Others said it’s too close to the road but you barely hear any cars. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the lake. It was the rest I needed. I was also very lucky to be at Lake Carey during the Tunkhannock Founder's Day weekend.
The campsite had a lot of luxury comforts (e.g., soft bed, air conditioning, mini fridge, Keurig coffee). Greg also had two kayaks ready for me to use, as well as a camp-style grill, tables, and chairs. The toilet was well maintained and clean. My dog also loved the many areas to sniff around and the walk around the lake was perfect for his little legs.
I look forward to camping there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Carey Lake! The views were absolutely stunning, and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The tent was incredibly comfortable—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up. Greg was a fantastic host, welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back, next time with our dog in tow!
