Hurlys Hideaway is a very nice location located approximately 2 miles from the town of Tillamook. Very close to the beach Sand Lake various Rivers for fishing kayaking swimming Etc. Approximately 4 MI from Netarts Oceanside area, Netarts Bay, Cape Mears. A very nice location to be able to access all of these activities in Tillamook County. My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left. Also a heads up lately I've had a few people that are having a hard time booking and I learned from another camper if you're staying one night you actually have to select two days it includes the day you check out I just experienced that with another camper so just a bit information I don't know if hip camp changed something or what, but if you're staying one night select two days and it'll work.

Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.** If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond. There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way? Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. I would categorize this as a great passing through spot. It is private, easy to find, easy to park, the host was available for communication and had very clear communication. We stayed at Site 3 at Jackie and Ron’s. The hosts are more than accommodating. We loved the location and clean bathrooms at a well maintained RV park. There was also WiFi for those that need it, and fire rings if one would like a fire. The campers are quiet and respectful. We will definitely stay here for future clam digging trips.

Mark came over on the first night to chat and give us firewood and local recommendations like a byway close by that we checked out the next day. We were the only ones there on a rainy October weekend but the super friendly dog kept us company and chased away coyotes at night. The grounds are great, lots of great viewpoints, very conveniently located, clean toilets… the kids asked when we could come back!

Weekend Trip to The Rock On The Columbia

The view is unbeatable. The hwy noise make a little less peaceful, but a great location to hit the spots of Cape Disappointment and Astoria. I found it amusing that is in the presumed location of Lewis and Clark's "Dismal Niche" where there were trapped for several days before completing their journey to the mouth of the Columbia. It was far from dismal for me.

Really cool spot! Very private - we stayed on a Saturday and the entire time had maybe 3 cars drive pass by and there’s no other houses nearby or across the river so you truly feel private but safe. Beautiful surroundings and the site itself was spacious. Watching the ships pass by was the best part and I read some complaints about the tower but we thought it was cool and added to the unique vibe of the area. Would most definitely return!
