We are located in Southern Oregon. We are off exit 88 on Interstate 5 in Azalea, Oregon. This is a great location if you are traveling or road tripping to any destination along the West Coast of North America! Take a day trip to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. We also recommend that you visit the Galesville reservoir about 5 minutes up the road. The yurt has a queen sized loft bed with cotton sheets, a warm cotton comforter with duvet cover, a woodstove, and a folding mattress. You are also welcome to bring your own sleeping gear. *LEAVE NO TRACE, just as you would when camping = please pack out your own trash* There is a wood stove for the winter months, a solar powered refrigerator, a propane stove and oven, along with a sink, and kitchen countertop space. Basic kitchen ware like: utensils, plates, bowls, Italian stove top coffee maker, off grid blender, cooking pots, pans, etc. We provide plant based dish soap, hand soaps, and shampoo. There is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with a propane water heater for warm showers. Please bring your own bath towel. Please confirm you can walk up a staircase. There is a picnic table in the pasture, with several wooden log type chairs. There is internet available on the picnic table by the main house front deck. Connect to the internet via ethernet. We have a usb-c converter, an Apple converter, and a usb drive to access the internet through ethernet. This is a glamping experience, partially off-grid, and we hope that you take the time to unplug. All of our farm goods are available for sale. Be sure to ask about orchard raised fresh eggs, neighbor's milk, seasonal fruit jam, fresh fruit and berries, vegetables, and sprouted nut butter. We are located near the Galesville Reservoir and about 1.5 hours from Crater Lake. The site is easily accessible. You will have a view of the pasture, gardens, greenhouse, orchards and the host's private residence. Elk Haven Ranch consists of 40 acres at the base of a mountain range that is BLM federal land. There is an elk herd and of course deer on the property. This property is a haven for them, no hunting is allowed. If you are looking to throw a Frisbee with your dog in a forested and meadow setting, without tons of campers right next to you, then this is your place. Room to roam, fresh water April through September and easy access to a common electricity plug-in where you can charge your cell phones and air mattresses on the electric pole by the entry gate. Highlights of this original home include a gourmet kitchen with labradorite granite counters, 800 year old juniper tree spiral stair case, huge beams and exposed rafters, a sauna, and a romantic wood stove. Also each upstairs bedroom has a hanging bed with three 8 foot skylights above for indoor star gazing. Original artworks from local artists are throughout the home. Many pleasantries await the curious such as embedded fossils in the cracked mud walls.Nestled amongst towering fir and cedar trees, with windows everywhere, you'll feel and see nature's presence. This home site has a remarkably peaceful way about it. This home was built with environmentally friendly materials. Building with little impact on the surroundings was very important to us during construction. The myrtle hardwood floor in the kitchen and living room was milled on site which came from trees that stood where the house is now. Same story for the beautiful maple flooring in the ½ bath. All of the large beams and fir flooring came from two 4' thick 104 year old douglas fir trees which also stood and were milled where the house is now. The fir trees sprouted after the last forest fire that came through the canyon. One of our neighbors fell a sixty five year old redwood that was over six feet thick! We used some of it as a wonderful wainscot paneling throughout the house. All of the finishes used are no or low VOC. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking. You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. We also provide shade grown fair trade coffee and a grinder, espresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat six comfortably. There is also seating for three at the island bar. From the kitchen you can visit with the folks in the living room thanks to the open floor plan. Beside the wood stove are two chairs and the futon couch with reading lamp. A CD changer, TV with a DVD player and VHS machine are in the downstairs bedroom. Bring your favorite videos or browse our selection of movies. The property has 150 feet of creek frontage with great views of Glenn creek, the forest and distant cliffs. Enjoy wildlife viewing with River Dippers, Chipmunks, Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, Screech Owls, Pileated Wood Peckers, Elk, an occasional Bald Eagle or River Otter and other wildlife from the house and back deck. Build a fire and have lunch on the nearby picnic table and benches.

I slept in my car in the RV space. The area for the guests is green and mowed and neat amd a bit of a distance from the house, so lots of privacy. The composting toilet was private and clean. There is a spigoted water container with soap to wash hands, but be sure to have your own towel. Andrew did a great job showing me around and communicating expectations. Added bonus was the opportunity to purchase fresh grown raspberries and the gorgeous creek across the road to soak my travel weary feet amd body! This is a lovely small honestead.

My partner and I truly loved everything about our stay on this beautiful farm. Andrew and Lale were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and their cat Bella and the sweetest toddler Aslan made us feel right at home. We enjoyed exploring the nearby reservoir and soaking in the peaceful nature—Cow Creek is just across the road! The view was amazing, and I especially loved the beautiful sunflowers blooming all around this sweet little farm :) The yurt was cozy and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen appliances and a small fridge to a backup battery for power. The king-size bed was super comfortable, and everything was spotless. We really appreciated the farm’s sustainable lifestyle—zero-waste practices, composting, and a clean, thoughtful approach to living. We definitely look forward to coming back!

Really cute spot that is very nicely maintained! It was a major perk to have access to a private propane BBQ at each sure, a propane fire pit, and a spray hose at our site! Porta potty was clean. Only downside was the insane amount of mosquitos, but of course this isn't the host's fault and she did warn us before we got there. Even after spraying everyone down with tons of bug spray we spent the evening constantly swatting swarms of them away and each woke up with several bites. I also removed a tick off of my child after walking around the foresty areas. There were even several mosquitos landing on us early this morning and during breakfast. Come prepared!!!!

We loved staying at the yurt! It was the perfect retreat to disconnect and relax. Andrew was very helpful with explaining how everything works and we didn’t feel like we were lacking anything while staying there. Nearby hikes and creek are beautiful, the yurt was cozy, and the shower was private while still letting you watch banana slugs and listen to the robins sing. Wish we could have stayed longer!
