This side of the river was pretty bustling before the Siuslaw bridge was built in 1936, being quite a transformative event considering the ferry from Glenada to Florence was the main way across the river. River View is located up on Glenada mountain, on the upper level of our three-acre lot. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 children, 2 large dogs, a cat, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood bundles and farm-fresh eggs available for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you have your own porta-potty set up. This is a beautiful rustic property close enough to Hwy 101 to be convenient but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! Learn more about this land: River View is located on the upper level of our three-acre lot. We have a free-range farm atmosphere. We have 2 children, 2 large dogs, a cat, and 12 chickens. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). Walk down to Old Town for dinner or bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Pricket state park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river. Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by! No bathroom or running water but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available.

Cloverdale Valley Farm

This is a spot only 8 minutes from Eugene and the U of O campus, great restaurants and fun things to do. Our 12 acres have been in our family for 32 years. We no longer have the horses or put up hay like we did when the kids were still at home. The camp site which is well off or the road is large with the ability to turn around and orient in a direction you prefer. There is also plenty of room for your pets to run. The pasture can get a bit wet in the winter, so parking in the gravel barnyard is sometimes best (still plenty of room) Terry and Micki are your hosts. We have the Willamette river across the road 200 yards, biking on the property and tons of biking in Eugene. If it’s mountain biking you like then Oakridge is 29 miles up hwy 58. We only allow camping on our property for a maximum of one week at a time per customer and commonly block out days in order to continuously improve the property. Please inquire if you would like to request a longer stay.

Our piece of heaven… We have a 200 acre tree farm cozied up to Siltcoos Lake. Siltcoos Lake is approximately 3500 acres and warm enough to swim in! Your campsite is 10 private acres surrounded by the rest of our 200 acres. You are welcome to hike, bike, forage, and enjoy the whole 200 acre forest. Your 10 acre campsite is private for you and your guests. So let your pets off the leash, laugh, play music, have fun! Your site comes with a propane bbq grill, fire pit, patio set, table and chairs, and check out our electric tube and boat rental list. There is plenty of flat, open area to maneuver several RVs and place tents. It is open and grassy. Our driveway is quite long to get you into peacefully privacy. Our driveway is part gravel and partly dirt that we grade as needed. RVs, tents, boats, bicycles, horses and pets welcome. We have a small horse corral if requested. We have many unimproved roads to access our creeks, springs, ponds and lake or enjoy the deer paths. Our property has elderberry, blackberry, huckleberry, mulberry, thimbleberry, salmonberry, currants… mushrooms, many wild edible plants and wild life! Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck! Sorry no ATV use on property at this time. For large events some extra arrangements may be possible, just ask. We look forward to sharing our piece of our heaven with you. If you are looking for catering, I know of 2 places that serve amazing food and will cater food, tables and chairs…
