We enjoy meeting interesting, creative, and passionate people from near and far and sharing our camping ideas off the grid. You are relaxed and welcoming. Staying on our private resort farm is like staying with friends or family.
Me and my husband, Sotero, are from different continents. We met in Portland, Oregon, over 25 years ago. Being able to communicate in five languages gave us the opportunity to interact with people from various cultures, try new foods, and learn about new history and experiences. We love seeing the world, with our favorite destinations being Mexico, Dubai, and Canada. Also, we love camping and decided to create a little private camping ground and farm lodge for people who wish to camp without huge expense. We try hard to make each guest’s stay wonderfully memorable.
Owner will be close by to answer any questions but gives you a space and privacy. Please text your time off arrival, make sure we open gates.

We are located in Banks, Oregon. We are approximately 45 minutes west of downtown Portland. Our camping area is about 5 acres and offers something for everyone. If you have a large RV and need a safe and quiet spot to stay for the night, we got you. We have a large fire pit, Adirondak chairs, a large picnic table, and a swing set for the kids. Badminton and cornhole available on request. Family get-togethers or birthday parties are welcome!
We are located just 1.5 miles from The Banks-Vernonia Trail. Bike campers are welcome! Feel free to bring along your 4-legged friends as well. We do not have a fence, so if you do not trust your dog of a leash, please keep them tied up. We have a lot of deer that pass through and untrained dogs love chasing them.
Banks has a few restaurants to choose from: Subway, Dairy Queen, Main Street Pizza, Mary's Mexican Food, Hop-Cycle Brewing to name a few. There is also a Supermarket in town just in case you forgot your S'mores supplies, Spirits, or campfire wood. We are about 20 minutes away from McMenamins Grand Lodge, in Forest Grove, which hosts some great live concerts during the summer.
We have a few fishing spots within about 30 minutes of the property. Hagg lake, Horning's Hideout, Dorman's Pond and the Wilson River are all popular spots.
We have clean well water and 50A electrical hookups. We do not offer dumping of black water, but you can empty your tank at the Elks club in Forest Grove (25-minute drive) for free or Camping World over in Hillsboro. I don't mind if you drain your gray water on the property as long as you use a longer hose to keep it away from the immediate camping area. The parking area for RV's is fairly level and easy to get in and out of.
During the late summer, our 5 apple trees produce great fruit. We also have 2 plum trees, and some blackberries. Feel free to pick what you would like.
Currently, we do not have any public bathroom facilities available for campers, so please plan accordingly. Please, only book if you have an RV with working plumbing. **We will not accept tent campers**

Camp on the edge of Forest Park and sleep underneath an evergreen canopy of Douglas fir and big leaf maple.
We have one large forest glade with room for several tents. We book only one group at a time, so you are guaranteed the place to yourselves. We can accommodate up to 15 people, with a max of 5-6 vehicles (parking is tight).
This is a hike-in only campground most suited to backpack style camping. The hike in has two short steep sections about 50 feet each. It takes 5-15 minutes depending on fitness level and load. This is not suitable for those with accessibility issues.
The campground features:
-Fairy lights strung among the tress to create the perfect magical ambiance
-Large fire ring with seating for 7-10 and cooking grate
-picnic table with seating for six
- Composting latrine with a forest view (commune with nature!)
-Photo worthy hammock, swinging loveseat , and sunset views
- A huge clearing with multiple flat tent spots (5-7)
-1/2 mile of trails with hidden surprises
- A parking area suitable for car camping or van camping during the rainy season.

Parking is separate from the campground! It is a brief but steep 1/4 mile hike to get to the main campground and latrine. Bring hiking shoes and pack light. It takes most people 5-15 minutes to hike up, depending on fitness level and load size . If you want to car camp, you will be next to a road and separate from the latrine and fire pit.
Enjoy several short trails on the camp's property before heading to Forest Park's
Wildwood Trail, which is just up the street, or check out all of the incredible natural and urban nearby attractions in Portland.

Or just swing lazily in a hammock under the trees and enjoy the sound of the forest coming to life.

Ruah Ranch is situated on an old donation land claim and was also the site of nomadic Native American tribes. Abundant wildlife graces our acres as well as the beautiful Thoroughbred horses we raise. You'll likely be serenaded by coyotes in the evenings and may catch sight of them during the day. Three different species of raptors frequent the skies above the ranch and beavers have established outposts along the stream. Beautiful thoroughbred horses will greet you every morning from their nearby pasture while you enjoy your coffee in the shade of the trellised Wisteria. Silver Falls State Park is a short drive away where you can enjoy hiking and biking and even guided horseback rides. The Oregon Gardens are just a bit further north on the outskirts of Silverton and many wineries dot the landscape all around. Creekside campground with showers has 4 separate sites:
1. The campground with a kitchen and hot/cold potable water and 20 amps of power. Includes 3-4 picnic tables and a covered stage area with power. This can hold 8-10 large tents comfortably. Price includes up to 10 people. Children under 12 are not counted and are free (except to their parents).
2. Tiny Creekside cabin has no power and a queen size bed with bedding and towels included. Sleeps 2 with about 120 SF (tiny) includes 150 SF covered deck. You may add tents around the cabin but must add the guests under extras so you pay for additional tents/people. No kitchen with cabin. This site has a private fire pit.
3. Creekside RV - retro trailer newer looks like a 50's diner. Has fridge, stove top, microwave, electric hot water kettle and Air Conditioning. This is a nice addition to the other sites due to the AC and fridge. RV is parked next to creek across from campground. The toilet is not connected (please use Portable toilet next to trailer).
4. A cabin in the trees 12'x20' with queen bed and all bedding included. No Kitchen in the Cabin, The cabin includes a picnic table, fire pit, hammock, and outdoor bench and chairs.
No Electricity.
All sites have shared access to hot showers, portable toilets, and potable water next to Outdoor kitchen and dinning area.
Guests love staying with us; "Brenda's property is fantastic. We had a gathering of friends for a long weekend on this property (rented the cabin too) and had the best time. Having the creek to splash around in, warm running water for showers and washing dishes, trails to explore, and the delivery of fresh produce and eggs from the property far exceeded our expectations. Brenda is the best host - she answered all my questions quickly and was very generous with our group. Definitely recommend!"

Just what I needed! The host (Chloe the Corgi) was super nice and friendly and so was her human. :) Lee was super helpful (and fun to hear all about the horses on the property—even got to meet “Indy”). Spot3 was near the main house (a tiny bit down hill from it) but didn’t mind it at all. Still felt private. The propane fire pit area was a perfect place for a couple of friends to visit and catch up and enjoy a beautiful sunset together. All-in-all I highly recommend and would stay again!

Weekend Trip to Miranda's Farm and Recreation
Was the perfect place to relax and get away. Felt very welcomed upon arrival and was just what we needed for a home away from home. Recommend adding breakfast to your stay if you can afford, food was delicious and had fun talking with other guests. We booked the luxury tent and it was not only cute but very comfy! All in all, had a great time and would love to do it again!

Loved glamping out here! It was our first time ever glamping and it was a great first impression! Sotero was an amazing host and made sure we were taken care of and comfortable. Our dogs were thrilled that they could be let off leash and enjoy the field!

What a special setting for a private, comfortable campsite! We made an adventure out of it by backpacking through Forest Park on the Wildwood trail to reach the camp by foot. The kids and adults had a great time. We appreciated the generosity of Moriah as she helped us arrange some logistics and provided some great produce and wine for us to share. Looking forward to returning again, thank you so much!

Weekend Trip to Creekside camping with showers
Had a wonderful time with the wife and two dogs. There is plenty of property to explore, a shallow Creek to play in and plenty of trails for walking the dogs. I also had fun riding my onewheel on the trails.

As a single female traveler on this trip, I felt safe and comfortable once I got settled in. The site was clean and well kept up, including the compost toilet. The swinging wicker bench, hammock, small campfire circle and small hanging zigzag lights were all nice touches. I feel grateful for the offering and the experience, and will consider returning in the future.

We truly loved where we stayed one night. We were welcomed as we parked at the guest parking lot, and toured all the amenities. There were pools and hot tubs though we didn’t use. I think a family with kids would love this place too. We stayed at the luxury tent which is very private and distant from the others. Bedding was wonderful! Clean and soft! We were able to have a good sleep the night. We loved the huge space in front of the tent where we played with our dog. One thing I should mention in addition to previous comments is we liked that we do not share the toilet with others. So clean and everything was set up so right and the best.
This is the first place that I want to book again later!

Wow, what a great place to rest for the night! I was pleasantly surprised by the parking area, you can unload comfortably off of the road. The hike is short, but YES steep. I was glad to have hiking poles for the way down. The site itself is beautifully maintained and set up for comfort and rest. I brought my pups and it was easy to keep them near because the terrain in the surrounding area is more thick/lush. This place might ruin it for future experiences... raising the bar!! Thank you for having us.

All and all a great camping location and well worth the money for basically a private site with bathroom facilities. One thing of note: both sites are exposed to the sun so if its a hot day and you are arriving mid afternoon be prepared to set up in those conditions.
