Nice spot. We used it as a home base for rafting day trips on the Deschutes. About 20 minutes from Sandy Beach. Felt very private and a short walk across the road to hang by White River. Freshly cleaned porto potty. We would stay again.
Host warned us about yellow jackets and they were bad. Brought a trap to add to about 6 others already hanging and had to eat in screened in tent. Pretty typical in field like that in late summer in the area though.

Perfect Camping Experience for three generations of family!! The clear driving directions dropped us into a hidden green paradise with fruit trees and a scenic pond. Welcomed by a large family of deer! Plenty of flat, green grass areas for tents, trailers, and lots of lawn games and the dogs had a fabulous time running free! The concrete pad of what used to be a home was the perfect gathering area for cooking, eating, and "fire" circles! Yellow jackets were pretty crazy during the day but disappeared at dusk, no fault of the land owners as it is just that time of year. Great separation from other sites with complete privacy, no view of other campers and great barriers for sound. Spectacular view all around left you feeling like you were the only people for miles. We had a neighborly visits from lizards, wild turkeys, squirrels, and a family of raccoons! They were all very well behaved but I would suggest storing food in a plastic bin as potato chips seem to be a favorite of theirs. Beautiful site for all ages and we will definitely be back again!

Having a space to ourselves was just perfect for camping. The site was quiet and secluded, the creek along the back was beautiful. It was wonderful to find a spot to get back to nature, to not have to worry about others being around. The dogs had plenty of space to run around and have fun. It was perfect in every way and would certainly go there again.

This site rates high on our favorites list. This site has unrivaled privacy, access to wildlife, and peaceful views. We parked our Airstream Basecamp 20X REI edition in this large meadow, bordered by stream-fed ponds, oak/ponderosa slopes, and rocky bluff vistas. We were privileged to witness wildlife including Western Gray Squirrels, Black & White tailed deer, garter snakes, frogs, toads (emitting a low, honking sound), Western Fence Lizards, Scrub Bluejays, robins, wild turkeys, and the star of the show- Peregrine Falcons. We had one Peregrine fly up to take a hunting lookout on our Dragonfly tarp, attacking three different prey targets from that perch. So cool! There’s ample opportunity to stroll around the meadow and up the gravel road to get some steps in. The melodic sound of the stream spilling into the pond is soothing. We will be back to visit this magical place.

What a great spot! We had a good size group with four tents and there was plenty of open space and shade trees for all us. The river is just a quick walk across the road and it was the perfect way to cool down as the days were pretty hot. Amanda was very communicative and responsive. Highly recommended!

Great location and secluded. The site has an old house foundation that was perfect for me as a wheelchair user. Bumped up the edge of the foundation and set our tent on the concrete and the picnic table was on it as well. Saved my shoulders from pushing through the grass. Got to watch deer come down from the upper field, next thing we know one was eating apples off the ground at our site.

We had such a wonderful experience thanks to our amazing camp host! We arrived late at night with a last-minute reservation, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He greeted us warmly despite the hour, helped us get settled quickly, and made everything feel easy and stress-free.
What really stood out was his thoughtfulness during our stay—while we were out exploring for the day, the wind picked up and he took the time to stake down our tent so nothing blew away. That level of attention and care is rare and so appreciated.
Truly one of the best camp hosts we’ve ever had—friendly, helpful, and genuinely looking out for his guests. Can’t recommend him highly enough!

Great camping spot! Directions were clear, beautiful area, and communicative host! We even had water provided, chairs, plus a picnic table. We were there two nights, with great stargazing the second night. Private lots, clean porta potty, Fred was awesome. Would definitely recommend!

We loved it. We were at White River Site 1, which was close to the river. It was really hot over the weekend with temps approaching the century mark, but with all the shade trees and the river close by we were able to stay relatively cool. The area is beautiful and well maintained and our host Amanda was super responsive and friendly. She communicated quickly and clearly with us and we always knew what to expect. Only suggestion I’d provide is better signage as to where the different sites are located . We had several folks stop at Site 1 either thinking it was where they were supposed to be or asking where their site was located. Not a big deal, as folks were generally respectful and friendly, but something to consider. While it seems the folks who reserved the other sites could probably have communicated better with their guests, some clearer, more visible signage could probably help. Otherwise, no complaints. We had a blast!

We loved camping on Amanda’s land! It was very peaceful and there was plenty of room for our dogs to run around and play. The river was refreshing and we never heard our camp neighbors. They did have to drive by our site but that wasn’t a problem. Bring bug spray! We brought a few citronella candles thinking that would help but there were a lot of mosquitoes!

This property was incredibly peaceful. At night it was the frogs and crickets, during the day it was Hawks flying around and deer walking through the property . Having the ponds there for the kids to play in was wonderful.
The porta potty was clean. Property was pristine, it is really well taken care of. We never had a need to talk to the owners. Ash, it was an incredibly smooth process from start to finish. No problems whatsoever. Lots of space to stretch out.

This little spot is a peaceful oasis! You have a whole meadow to yourself which borders several small spring fed ponds. They looked mucky at first but they were quite clear and clean. Our dog loved dipping his feet. So many relaxing noises- birds singing, water flowing, frogs at night. The star display was incredible. As others have mentioned, the mosquito situation is no joke but we lit several citronella candles and it seemed to work nicely. This spot would work for a big group or individual campers if you want to unplug. We brought our tent trailer and it was easy to find a level spot. There are zero amenities in this location but we didn't need anything. This weekend was just ultimate relaxation for us! Oh, and Amanda was awesome about answering our questions ahead of time. It felt a little weird driving through the field at first but if you follow the directions, it will take you straight there. Just keep driving until you're in the meadow and can't drive any more!

Our stay at this campsite was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel very welcomed. He provided a container of water and explained camp rules. The campsite was clean and thoughtfully maintained, with plenty of room between sites with trees and brush to maintain privacy for a relaxing experience.
The location was stunning—I just love the high desert landscape and is surrounded by mountains that lit up at sunset. The skies at night were beautifully dark and clear, perfect for stargazing. It felt like we had a front-row seat to nature’s best show.
During the morning, my son had an absolute blast exploring and catching lizards, while I got to unwind in the hammock and soak in the peaceful sounds of birds and the breeze through the trees. It was the perfect mix of adventure and tranquility. All with close proximity to the lake and adventures in the surrounding area.
I highly recommend this campsite!!
