We have a beautiful camping spot next to a year-round creek, located in the spectacular Pacific Northwest. Nestled in the foothills of the Oregon Coastal Range, this property is teeming with wildlife. The site is surrounded by 100-year-old oaks and Douglas firs, making it a truly picturesque location.
Not only is our property peaceful and beautiful, but we are also just 10 minutes from Finley Wildlife Refuge, where you can see white swans, Canadian geese, and a wide range of waterfowl. Alsea Falls, with its hiking trails, old-growth trees, and two magical waterfalls, is only 30 minutes away.
You can reach the coast within an hour. A few miles from the property, you’ll find a charming country store for all your needs. We’re also conveniently located for visits to Corvallis or Eugene — both within a 30-minute drive. We provide porta-potties, potable water, and a serene environment for your stay.
Don’t have a tent or camping equipment? No problem! We offer tents and all the gear you need for a great camping trip. Ask us about our camping kits — we can even set them up for you.
Things to consider before booking: we are on a secluded property with a variety of wildlife, including bears, cougars, bobcats, elk, deer, turkeys, snakes, hornets, yellow jackets, and more. We are actively working to remove poison oak, but it will be an ongoing effort.

Your Farm Stay experience offers the opportunity to connect with a horse through adding on a Horsin' Around Experience or a private riding lesson to your stay. Rustic off-grid forest sanctuary with wood-fired sauna. Home of 50 yr old historic rhododendron garden. Nestled in the coastal range of western Oregon lies our 50-acre property surrounded by a lush forest.
Explore the garden trails to find your bliss at a meditation station. Lead your own yoga session at the covered pavilion. Relax in a hammock. Walk our quiet country road or hike a strenuous private logging road for a view at the top.
The rhododendron and vegetable gardens span a few acres. There is an old orchard with a blueberry and raspberry patch, and you have a small homestead to explore. This includes horses, sheep, dogs, and ducks. The pasture, gardens, and forest are free for roaming with respect to the plants, animals, and human residents. Our wood-fired sauna is free for you to use during a communal sauna already in session. A private sauna experience can be arranged for a fee. A hot shower is located inside of the sauna house. It is available 24/7 except during other campers private scheduled sauna times. A composting toilet is located near the parking area.
Our campground is small to promote a peaceful experience. We currently offer 2 sites, with a 3rd in progress. The Zem Bungalow is an off-grid glamping experience in a round, wooden, cozy bungalow overlooking the rhododendron garden (max 2), and the Foxglove platform, an 18 x 18 raised wooden platform ready for your tent, in a meadow next to a gently flowing creek (max 4). Four permanent residences also enjoy the beauty of Nelson Mountain Gardens. Each are separate and away from the campsites.
You are welcome to bring your well-behaved dog(s). Limit 2. Horses are welcome with prior approval. Please let us know when booking.
There is no cell phone service in our rural area. Limited wi-fi is available in parts of the rhododendron garden and at the barn for making necessary calls (no downloading, streaming or extended video calls). A phone charging station is located in the sauna house. Parking onsite is free.
Smoking or vaping anything is prohibited inside of any structure on the property. Smoking anything that requires fire is prohibited except for inside of your vehicle or on the paved road off of the property. Vaping is ok anywhere outside.

Weekend Trip to Nelson Mountain Gardens
We arrived and we're immediately greeted and shown the property. It's lovely and expensive. The tree house was exactly what I hoped it would be!! Lovely energy and perfect view of greenery through the windows. Down the path, you'll find a seated area near a small creek. If I had stayed with a small group, I imagine we would have been out there enjoying the space for quite awhile. I would love to return and spend more time forest bathing. The sauna looks so tempting and smells wonderful. Definitely bring yummy food to snack on! The road is quite long to get to the property, but well worth it. We were given bowls of blueberries with our coffee in the morning! Wonderful touch!

Weekend Trip to Nelson Mountain Gardens
The bungalow was so cozy, and the property it was on was beautiful! The hosts were also so kind, welcoming, and hospitable. We really appreciated that there was a clean shower with hot water and that the property is gated so we felt safe with all the things we were traveling with. Would have loved to stay longer!
