First thing everyone should know is that we are under the landing approach to PDX. Some planes are quiet, and some are not. My wife, our farm pals, and I are used to it but, we want you to be aware.
So, our property: coming in at roughly under 30 acres, Cold Springs Farm, established in 1885 and sits nestled in its own little valley.
The farm's name is inspired by spring feeds a small pond at the Northeast Corner (near the Alder Site) that has crawdads, Mallards and Blue Heron. Of course, there are also curious Raccoons and Possums about.
A canyon running the north of the property in known for its wildlife population including bear, deer and elk. Wherever you camp, you may hear someone moving through the forest at night.
Although we are a short 30-minutes to Portland, our private farm is free from unwanted lights and traffic (save the intermittent air traffic), when the skies are clear, starwatchers who bring their telescopes have many vantage points from which they can indulge their hobby!
Our wide-open field is great for kite flying, frisbee, doggie frolics, and it's also a great place to practice your drone piloting skills.
Mid-July through early October you have access to pick as many blackberries as you want and they are delicious.
Cold Springs Farm is also a sanctuary. Our current residents include our Kunekune Pigs: Chris P Bacon, Wilbur, Piggit, Hamish McBiscuit and Rowdy.
The resident goats include Dolly, Freddy McNubbins, Princess Daisy, Mikey, Mildred, Marvin, Daphne, Booger, Cyra-Nose, and Delilah our big, gentle goat.
Rounding out the bunch are our farm dogs, Oscar Braveheart, Hoppin' Howie and Lulu-bear our rescue Pyrenees and resident sweetheart.
We look forward to welcoming to our Columbia River Gorge farm and introducing you to what our beautiful area has to offer. We are just minutes from many of the gorge waterfall hikes including the historic Multnomah falls and Vista House sitting on Crown Point.
One of Oregon's favorite summer concert venues, McMenamins Edgefield, is a short 10 miles. And we have economy spots specifically for Mcmenamin Concert goers. Contact us for details.

Though we are right off a busy highway, we're in a valley so all you'll hear are the tranquil sounds of Cedar Creek's flowing waters and the chirping birds who live in the cedars overhead. The small clearings throughout the property provide natural privacy for our campers, while the barn provides amenities making it difficult to leave.

NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES:
PACK IN PACK OUT: We do not have trash or recycling bins down in the creekside campground so please keep your waste contained and take it with you when you leave. Please do not throw any trash in the porta-potties.
4WD/AWD REQUIRED PAST THE BARN: The steep gravel roads can be tough for some cars and rigs (particularly on the way out) and consequently, can cause a lot of damage to our roads. So for everyone's safety, we have restricted access to only vehicles with 4WD or AWD only. Please do not message us asking us to advise on the vehicle you have. If someone in your party has a 2WD vehicle, they can park up in the entry lot and get shuttled down to the campsites in a 4WD vehicle. If we see a 2WD vehicle in the campground, we will ask you to leave and if we have to dig you out, we will charge a $200 fee. Thank you for respecting our policies and helping us maintain our space.
DOG FRIENDLY: We are as dog friendly as it gets here. Unleashed dogs are allowed on this property down by the creek (on-leash required in and around the barn). If you have a fear of dogs, or have dogs that are not friendly with other people or fellow dogs, this probably isn't the right campground for you. Of course, we expect all dog owners to keep an eye on their pets so they don't disturb other campers or ingest anything they're not supposed to.
QUIET HOURS: 10pm-9am. We ask that guests keep the noise (loud music and loud conversations) to a minimum between 10pm and 9am. We live onsite and will enforce these if we have to (please don't make us).
NO FIREARMS, FIREWORKS OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE USE. This is not a late night party campsite. This property is best enjoyed in the daylight and we encourage campers who want to take full advantage of the scenery, will abide by the quiet hours, and maintain a safe space for all.
OTHER INFO:
CELL SERVICE: There is an AT&T tower on our property so that gets the best service by far. Verizon is pretty good. T-mobile does not get reception here. There is high-speed internet up at the barn that is accessible with a Blue Barn Pass.

Camp Cedar Creek is a gem. It's just off 26, and super convenient to lots of hiking and amenities but it feels nice and remote. I van camped with my partner, and having the Blue Barn with a fully stocked kitchen, hang out zone, ping pong table, and clean showers and bathrooms was super handy. We loved walking down to the creek and hiking around the trails, and Jeremy and Lauren (and Juno!) were very welcoming.

It was our second visit to lions Mane camp site and we just had a blast! If you live in Portland it is so fast to get to but you truly feel as though you are immersed in wilderness. We relaxed around the fire pit, made smores and explored the hiking trails. We even checked out some other sites which we plan to book soon. Our second stay at Fairy Ring was as fantastic as the first! The setting is spectacular and so close to Mt. Hood and a multitude of hikes. We hiked the trail to the beautiful Mirror Lake & enjoyed a coffee stop at Mt, Hood Roasters on the way home. Lauren & Jeremy were super friendly & responsive! We’ll be back!

Needed a last minute place where to celebrate my pup’s 15th birthday and finding this place was the perfect remedy. Tho this was a very last minute but Lauren was very accommodating and responsive. Very quiet and private specially during the weekday. We are definitely coming back for a longer stay since the birthday pup did not wanted to come home. Will recommend to family and friends.

Our stay in Lauren’s and Jeremy’s land was nothing but amazing. Definitely has been my favorite campsite til this day. We purchased the barn passes which allowed us to have hot showers :) and the campsite we chose was beautiful!!!! It was a bit to wet for us but Lauren and Jeremy allowed us to move sites and we chose Lions mane which was drier and closer to the river a perfect site. Everything about our experience there was over all peaceful. That’s exactly what we were looking for. Will be coming back next time I travel to Oregon.

All of the sites were easy to identify and the grounds were really well maintained, clean, and well kept. We stayed up near the barn. It was basically a parking spot, so don't think it's a "campsite," per se, but it was nice and convenient, and the barn and facilities were great. We enjoyed a lovely walk down by the creek and around the property, so we got some good nature time. Lauren and Jeremy were responsive and helpful. We'd come back in a second.

I am so happy we booked this place! It was the first stop on the way to Crater Lake. Hwy 26 is a great little adventure. We loved the barn ! It was great because I didn’t have to set up camp while traveling. It was so nice to make breakfast in the morning and take the dogs on a walk on the off leash trails! The barn also has nice clean flushing toilets and clean, hot showers. There’s games and a couch to hang out which is nice if the weather turns bad. All the amenities are there.
The hosts were responsive and kind.
I definitely will be returning if they will have me. The Mt Hood area is amazing.
Little Crater Lake is nearby and worth it!

This place was amazing! The barn was especially nice because we were traveling to Crater Lake. (Hwy 26 is a nice way to get there! )
The barn had everything we needed to cook food, shower and hang out so we didn’t have to unload everything. It made it very easy to get back on the road.
The property was beautiful and we were able to walk the dogs on the off leash trails in the evening and in the morning before we got back on the road which was great!
The barn has clean showers and bathrooms too.
The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed.
The barn was a very cool open space that has a nice hang out vibe.
Lots of stuff to do around Sandy too!
I’ll definitely return ! Dog friendly and affordable!

What a beautiful property! All the sites were really spread out and we had so much space to ourselves. Overall, it was very quiet and peaceful. We loved spending time at the river and the shared beach area and there were a lot of places to walk and explore.
I would recommend arriving in the daytime as this site isn't as well marked as some of the other sites. No picnic table or sign to really label it as a campsite. The bathroom is a bit further from this site as well if that is important to you.

We stayed at Turkey Tail on a busy holiday weekend and we would 100% come back! All sites were full but you’d never know it, as it was super peaceful! This place is perfect for us and our dogs and they loved to roam. The creek is perfect for a quick cool down. All the sites and porta potty’s are clean! Our site didn’t have grass but there is a small patch just across the road. Even with turkey tail being on the main road and close to the blue barn, it still felt secluded. We met Jeremy and he was super nice!
We will definitely be back with our dogs and extended family! It’s a little slice of nature not far from home!
