This campsite sits on forty acres of property that has been in the family since the early 1930's. It is the property where my husband has been born and raised. His brother started growing a few acres of tempranillo grapes as a hobby about twenty years ago. His hobby has turned into Emerald Slope Vineyard with many varieties of grapes. Hello. My name is Tamara and my husband is Andy. We bought this place in 2022 with the goal of raising animals humanely and providing good food options to purchase at reasonable prices. After moving to Ontario I noticed there are not many good options for nighttime sleep. I fondly remember camping with our kids in a location we named Neverland. We decided we wanted to create that for people. That’s why we joined Hipcamp. We have several sites that range from close to the house and bathroom access to remote in a field with the sounds of the creek to lull you to sleep. To increase safety and aid in positive memory making, only one group is allowed at a time. We have lots of space so whether you are a lone traveler, a family, or a group of friends looking to make memories consider staying with us and our animals. We generally have goats, chickens, and pigs. From July to October, we often have pheasants. This year we do not so I can do repairs to the small coop. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch.
Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. There is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present.
A small, creek runs through the front of the property year-round. Water is clearer during the winter and spring months. The spots I have cleared in this area are small. I recommend tent camping in this area. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field; they are shy. We have goat treats available for sale if you would like to feed them.
Oregon has an invasive, poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant. If you wander along the creek, you will encounter it.

In the early 1900's three sheep ranchers--August Broderson, James Fisher, and Isaac Leighton--each purchased residential lots in Weiser and built brick homes designed by Idaho architect H. W. Bond. This property, which we named Butterfield Farms, was built in 1915 by August Broderson, who emigrated from Germany to the US in 1892. The Broderson family lived here for decades and were a prominent family in Weiser history. Learn more about this land:The campsite is located on our small family-run farm in Weiser, ID. Weiser is known world-wide for its annual fiddle festival in June! Our campsite is within walking or biking distance of all of the Fiddle Week activities. Campsite is located underneath a large shady oak tree. Campers are welcome to use the fire pit when fire bans are not in effect. Electric hookups are located immediately next to the campsite, as well as a non-potable water source. We overnighted here and would do so again. There was weather coming in when we arrived, but Amy ran out to greet us nonetheless. We didn't get to enjoy the view that other reviewers mentioned because of the wind and rain, but the weather wasn't the host's fault. So five stars for the good communication and a safe place to stay for the night. Our 24' travel trailer fit in nicely. You could back in but we found it easier to pull in and then back out onto the road.

The host was very friendly and helpful. I needed assistance guiding my little trailer into the driveway and she willingly helped. The driveway is plenty wide and you are able to park all the way in giving a sense of privacy and ample distance from quiet road in front. The driveway is level too. All in all a good rest stop! The location is set back in a lot behind the home. Its safe and secure with power and water. Nearby is a great firepit area (we didn't use as it was 95 degrees) and a gentle sheep named Tilly. Fun, quirky and comfortable! Really enjoyed our stay!
