Secluded private site centrally located just a mile from Interstate 5 off of exit #11, and 6 miles from the Interstate 5 / Hwy 205 intersection so most places in Clark County are less that 20 minutes away. Please Input 23102 NE 3rd Avenue into your GPS. Clicking the link on the Hipcamp map will bring you here with an Androuid device, but send you to a gated community West of us on an Apple device. Located 5 minutes from the Amphitheater,10 minutes from Ilani Casino, and less than 30 minutes from some of the nicest freshwater lakes around. This is a secluded, Park Like property with walking trails all the way around it, and some interesting things for kids to spot, especially up Fairy Lane. Walking access is permitted, but you must keep pets on leash and keep an eye on your kids. In the dry season, typically May through the end of September, fires are not allowed, and please USE EXTREME CAUTION IF YOU CHOOSE TO SMOKE ONSITE. If you are one of those who just tosses your butts in the underbrush, you will be asked to leave for the safety of our property and guests. There is no smoking allowed inside the cabin, bathroom, or anywhere near the sawmill, or any area North of it. There is a public bathroom in the middle of the property beside the tree fort. It's well lit and open 24 hours a day. It has a flush toilet and a hot water sink and a HOT shower. * PLEASE NOTE To keep from freezing, the instant hot water heater is disconnected, and hot water, and hot showers ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM NOV 15TH TO MAR 1ST. Cold water to flush the toilets and wash your hands is available all year. You can use the discount code NOHOT To reduce your booking rate during those times We try to keep rules to a minimum, but people seem to find creative ways to cause issues. Please park outside the yellow gate in the parking areas noted on the map. Please park on gravel and DON'T DRIVE OFF THE GRAVEL ROADS ONTO THE GRASS. Anita hates it, as you can cause a fire in the summer, and leave muddy ruts in the wet seasons. If you're driving through the trees, you're doing something wrong. My husband and I loved staying at Trent's cabin! We were looking for a quiet, romantic getaway where we could take long walks in the woods and relax in a comfortable cabin at night. The wood stove hot tub was amazing. Trent was a great host and was very attentive to our needs while also making sure we had all the privacy that we could want. I would stay here again anytime!

This place was the perfect getaway—quiet, peaceful, and right by the river. We stayed in the geodome and loved the cozy wood-burning fireplace. The river was just a short walk away, making it easy to relax by the water. On clear nights, the star views were incredible—some of the best we’ve seen. We also appreciated having different cooking options, whether over the campfire or using the propane stove. The off-grid toilet was simple and convenient to use, and the privacy of the space allowed our dog to roam off leash, which made the trip even better. A wonderful spot for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy nature in comfort!

It was our second visit to lions Mane camp site and we just had a blast! If you live in Portland it is so fast to get to but you truly feel as though you are immersed in wilderness. Our second stay at Fairy Ring was as fantastic as the first! The setting is spectacular and so close to Mt. Hood and a multitude of hikes. We hiked the trail to the beautiful Mirror Lake & enjoyed a coffee stop at Mt, Hood Roasters on the way home. Lauren & Jeremy were super friendly & responsive! We’ll be back!

Needed a last minute place where to celebrate my pup’s 15th birthday and finding this place was the perfect remedy. Tho this was a very last minute but Lauren was very accommodating and responsive. Very quiet and private specially during the weekday. We are definitely coming back for a longer stay since the birthday pup did not wanted to come home. Will recommend to family and friends.

Our stay in Lauren’s and Jeremy’s land was nothing but amazing. Definitely has been my favorite campsite til this day. We purchased the barn passes which allowed us to have hot showers :) and the campsite we chose was beautiful!!!! It was a bit to wet for us but Lauren and Jeremy allowed us to move sites and we chose Lions mane which was drier and closer to the river a perfect site. Everything about our experience there was over all peaceful. That’s exactly what we were looking for. Will be coming back next time I travel to Oregon.

We had a great camping trip at this location (2 nights) and would happily come back again. The host provided great directions to the property and was easy to locate from the road. All of the sites were easy to identify and the grounds were really well maintained, clean, and well kept. We enjoyed walking in the stream, hiking to the lookout of Mt Hood, and hanging out at the site. Thanks for hosting us!

We stayed up near the barn. It was basically a parking spot, so don't think it's a "campsite," per se, but it was nice and convenient, and the barn and facilities were great. We enjoyed a lovely walk down by the creek and around the property, so we got some good nature time. Lauren and Jeremy were responsive and helpful. We'd come back in a second.

The site was amazing. Creek ran right by the camp site so you had your own private little play area. Brought my 4 year old for his first camping trip just him and I, and he had a great time. I am so happy we booked this place! It was the first stop on the way to Crater Lake. Hwy 26 is a great little adventure. We loved the barn ! It was great because I didn’t have to set up camp while traveling. It was so nice to make breakfast in the morning and take the dogs on a walk on the off leash trails! The barn also has nice clean flushing toilets and clean, hot showers. There’s games and a couch to hang out which is nice if the weather turns bad. All the amenities are there. The hosts were responsive and kind. I definitely will be returning if they will have me. The Mt Hood area is amazing. Little Crater Lake is nearby and worth it!

This place was amazing! The barn was especially nice because we were traveling to Crater Lake. (Hwy 26 is a nice way to get there! ) The barn had everything we needed to cook food, shower and hang out so we didn’t have to unload everything. It made it very easy to get back on the road. The property was beautiful and we were able to walk the dogs on the off leash trails in the evening and in the morning before we got back on the road which was great! The barn has clean showers and bathrooms too. The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed. The barn was a very cool open space that has a nice hang out vibe. Lots of stuff to do around Sandy too! I’ll definitely return ! Dog friendly and affordable!

Wonderful experience and great place especially if you’re looking to escape the city for a few days! The animals and garden was pretty awesome and getting to pick eggs and eat our own green beans was super fun. The host was fantastic too. Very accommodating and friendly. 5 stars would recommend.

Read a few reviews that were concerned with privacy of the camp sites, even with a few other groups there we were able to set up with plenty of distance from the others. Make sure to read all the directions and have a decent AWF or 4WD. We were able to make it no problem with our Subaru.

Please be careful when using Google maps, for whatever reason it has taken several people to other places other than mine. I posted a picture of the entrance of my property, hopefully this will help. Hurlys Hideaway is a very nice location located approximately 2 miles from the town of Tillamook. Very close to the beach Sand Lake various Rivers for fishing kayaking swimming Etc. Approximately 4 MI from Netarts Oceanside area, Netarts Bay, Cape Mears. A very nice location to be able to access all of these activities in Tillamook County. My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left. Also a heads up lately I've had a few people that are having a hard time booking and I learned from another camper if you're staying one night you actually have to select two days it includes the day you check out I just experienced that with another camper so just a bit information I don't know if hip camp changed something or what, but if you're staying one night select two days and it'll work.

We purchased this slice of paradise in 2003 as a place to relax, recharge, and someday build our dream home. It started as nothing more than a gravel road leading to a small clearing with an old bus and a couple decks. Our children have grown up out here learning a deep respect for nature and the real (non digital) world. Now empty nesters, we live on site. Camp on the edge of Forest Park and sleep underneath an evergreen canopy of Douglas fir and big leaf maple. We have one large forest glade with room for several tents. We book only one group at a time, so you are guaranteed the place to yourselves. We can accommodate up to 15 people, with a max of 5-6 vehicles (parking is tight). This is a hike-in only campground most suited to backpack style camping. The hike in has two short steep sections about 50 feet each. It takes 5-15 minutes depending on fitness level and load. This is not suitable for those with accessibility issues. The campground features: -Fairy lights strung among the tress to create the perfect magical ambiance -Large fire ring with seating for 7-10 and cooking grate -picnic table with seating for six - Composting latrine with a forest view (commune with nature!) -Photo worthy hammock, swinging loveseat , and sunset views - A huge clearing with multiple flat tent spots (5-7) -1/2 mile of trails with hidden surprises - A parking area suitable for car camping or van camping during the rainy season. -Only 20 minutes from downtown Portland, 15 from I5, and minutes from gas and Parking is separate from the campground! It is a brief but steep 1/4 mile hike to get to the main campground and latrine. Bring hiking shoes and pack light. It takes most people 5-15 minutes to hike up, depending on fitness level and load size . If you want to car camp, you will be next to a road and separate from the latrine and fire pit. Enjoy several short trails on the camp's property before heading to Forest Park's Wildwood Trail, which is just up the street, or check out all of the incredible natural and urban nearby attractions in Portland.
