Not only that, we can arrange for you to have coffee delivered to your door or a BBQ party for your party. Four hours south of Portland, two hours North of the CA boarder. Coos Bay has an regional airport made accessible by our world class golf course Bandon Dunes 1/2 hour from our place. The airport has one 55 minute flight a day to San Francisco. While the listing says "no wheel chair access" this is just for the camper because there are steps. If someone in your party has a wheelchair and would like to camp we can help you arrange the area for a tent or car camping for that individual but we do not have an accessible toilet other than an REI camp seat on bucket we can let you borrow if you promise to clean :) Our tiny house is on the same property as this camper. We have two gates so our guests have a private entrance with secure parking. There are two well behaved dogs, Figi and Kit and one cat, Riddle on the property. It is okay to have your well behaved dog off leash and a small camp fire most times of the year. We have an outdoor sitting area and BBQ. Small shower bath combo in the camper and in progress a dog washing station! Even though the photos illustrate the beauty and privacy to the West, we do hear some traffic to the East and the ground can be a bit muddy near the bay. We encourage guests to walk on the pathways vs the marsh which we are preserving if they head out to the sandy beach to clam or kayak. Other sports that could be fun would be kite surfing, or wet suit swimming.

This home site has a remarkably peaceful way about it. Recently featured in Southern Oregon Magazine and KCBY 11 TV's ~In Focus~ 'Goin' Green' and Oregon's Solar Home Tour, this is a unique 'green' home. This home was built with environmentally friendly materials. Building with little impact on the surroundings was very important to us during construction. The myrtle hardwood floor in the kitchen and living room was milled on site which came from trees that stood where the house is now. Same story for the beautiful maple flooring in the ½ bath. All of the large beams and fir flooring came from two 4' thick 104 year old douglas fir trees which also stood and were milled where the house is now. The fir trees sprouted after the last forest fire that came through the canyon. One of our neighbors fell a sixty five year old redwood that was over six feet thick! We used some of it as a wonderful wainscot paneling throughout the house. All of the finishes used are no or low VOC. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking. You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. We also provide shade grown fair trade coffee and a grinder, espresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat six comfortably. There is also seating for three at the island bar. From the kitchen you can visit with the folks in the living room thanks to the open floor plan. Beside the wood stove are two chairs and the futon couch with reading lamp. A CD changer, TV with a DVD player and VHS machine are in the downstairs bedroom. Bring your favorite videos or browse our selection of movies. The property has 150 feet of creek frontage with great views of Glenn creek, the forest and distant cliffs. Enjoy wildlife viewing with River Dippers, Chipmunks, Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, Screech Owls, Pileated Wood Peckers, Elk, an occasional Bald Eagle or River Otter and other wildlife from the house and back deck. We loved our stay here! Melissa and Dave were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our dog loved playing with their two super sweet dogs, and there are few things nicer than walking right out to the water from the camper to have coffee or watch the sunset. The camper was cozy and warm, bed was comfy, and overall delightful place to stay.

Weekend Trip to Zen Garden Sanctuary Spa

These guys put the hip in #hipcamp. Jim was a wonderful and engaging host. We stayed in the caboose and the highlights were hanging out with the host and his friends, the sauna, and hot tub. If you are bringing kids maybe check with the host or Eric on the vibe before coming. It is a beautiful property and you can tell Jim has put a lot of thought, effort, and himself in the place. We hope to return, go Hoosiers!

Weekend Trip to Bay Point Landing

Aesthetic and well positioned glamping in Coos Bay! The amenities were great - we especially enjoyed the public patio areas and thought the architecture was beautiful - this would be a really cool spot for a smaller wedding reception or event!!! My only gripe was the blinds on the windows - we had to open the windows to cool down the space but it was pretty windy most of the time and would cause the blinds to slam against the windows constantly, which was too loud to ignore. Some more landscaping between the cabins would be great but I can see that trees are planted and it will just take a bit of time. Really enjoyed having a fire in our fire pit and watching the sun set from our porch. Bed was very comfortable, great water pressure, cute interiors - overall, amazing place!

The access is super close to the 101, although you will hear traffic on a busy night. The 4-legged camp-host was friendly and checked on us a couple times quietly (Neeka!). The neighbor's dog was the loud one. Very private. Flat parking spot, and flat spot for tent. Tent spot was too close to firepit, but we weren't going to use it. So nice to have a picnic table! There was a clean porta-potty.

1 night at Zen Garden Sanctuary Spa

Very accommodating. Multiple, beautiful spaces to hang out in. Sauna and hot tub were incredible. We were eight bike campers so having the community kitchen was super great. The waterfall added some really nice sounds. Frogs and crickets at night were lovely. It was a perfect spot for our group.

2 nights at Burgess Backyard

This was one of the best places we have stayed with Hip Camp. The yurt was tiptop clean. The property spacious was peaceful. Janean did not bother us but was there if we needed her. We recommend this place to everyone. J & C

Weekend Trip to Bay Point Landing

Honestly I wish I lived on the west coast because I would stay all the time. Both my friend and I loved our stay. It was cute and quiet. Clean. People were friendly!
