Play in Hood River during the day, relax in the country at night. We're 6.5 miles up in the hills, called High Prairie, above the sleepy town Lyle.
Enjoy the peace on our 5 acre hideaway, wake up with the chickens.
Take a walk to look at Mt. Adams which is just around the corner. Hiking, biking, kite boarding, windsurfing all within a few miles of reach with never ending opportunities to get your exercise. Just ask for tips.
The land has mostly Oak trees where you can take your nap in your hang matt. The place is easy accessible, far away from all but still close to all Gorge attractions during the day. The town has a nice little convenience store, country cafe, Chinese restaurant, and new to our town "Confluence Cafe" right at the entrance by the Klickitat River - Awesome views - yummy treats and coffee. Matt and Ali are super cool, go check it out.
Grocery shopping is best done in Hood River, White Salmon or
The Dalles. Once up here, there isn't much, so come prepared.

We are located in the heart of Antelope, a rural (near) Ghost town that is rich in history and culture. This particular property is currently being cleaned up and revitalized. We would like to open it up to dry camping, some cabins, and RV Spaces with partial hookups at this time as we are already seeing a huge influx of cyclists and motorcycles in the area and they have no place to camp. Our McLucas family has been operating The Oasis, which has consisted of, at various times, a cafe, historic cabins, a campground, a fishing guide service, a shuttle business and t-shirt shop over the past 65 years. We came through while bike packing the Oregon outback. It is a pretty good location for that, not far off route and about 45 miles from the finish. The hosts were very friendly and they had a nice piece of flat land for us to set up a tent. The ranch is active with a whole variety of farm animals which were fun to watch. You can hear the animals through the night which we liked but could be a problem if you're sensitive to noise. Overall we had a great stay.

Wow. Just wow. This treehouse exceeded all our expectations! What a wonderful night we had celebrating my husband’s birthday. We BBQ’d on the deck, explored the grounds with our golden retriever and slept in the trees and under the stars. The outdoor shower was wonderful and the outdoor toilet was 100/10! We even had a resident tree frog visit the deck as well. We will definitely be back!

The Horseshoe House was great. Eric and his partner were really friendly and gave me a tour around their farm where I get to meet all their critters. I mainly booked at the site because I was looking for a remote location to stargaze, and while the weather didn't totally agree with me on my trip, I was still able to take some great photos. We camped in our RV with water and 30 amp electric hook ups on a level spot under some trees for a couple of nights here. We watched deer and wild turkeys roam around the tiny town of Antelope. Brandi quickly responded to our messages before our stay and invited us to go to church with her Sunday afternoon which was wonderful. We're looking forward to staying here again during our travels especially next spring.

5 nights at B&B Treehouse Ranch
Three of us (Grandmother, mom, grandson) enjoyed a wonderful 5 night stay at Scott's Private Treehouse With Amazing View. The beds were very comfortable, the tiny kitchen area had just what we needed to make our own modest meals, and the convenience of a plumbed toilet and shower was awesome! This was luxurious compared to the tent camping we usually do.
We were there in August and lucked out on comfortable weather in the mid-70s with night-time breezes wafting through the cabin at night. AC was available if needed, though. I haven't slept so well in years!
The sunset view of Mt. Hood was lovely, and the stars at night inspiring.
A great base of operations for Columbia River explorations.

Private and quiet lower camp despite the nearby road. Zero mosquitos. Nadja was a fantastic and authentic host, even gave us baked apricot strudel and extra veggies from her garden! A herd of deer and some wild turkeys came through. We would definitely stay with her again!

We absolutely loved our stay in this adorable, well-appointed treehouse. Temps were around 100 degrees at check in time so we killed a few hours in Goldendale to enjoy some air conditioning. We were delighted to find that the cute treehouse had a window air conditioner! In addition to being cute and cozy, the treehouse has the best toilet ever, lol. (We couldn’t figure out how to get hot water for the shower, but we like the idea of an outdoor shower and really want to return!) Thanks for sharing this gem of a treehouse. 10/10!
