Just outside of McMinnville you will be welcomed to an area of towering 60ft Ash, Alder, Maple, Oak and both Grand and Douglas Fir. The property is very secluded at the end of a wooded valley and only a few camping spots are opened. The tree canopy keeps the underbrush in check while providing the tree shadows you will seek for Bird watching, local animal life and quality of camping not found outside of the open camping area in the middle of the largest state park. Turning at the Dairy Queen on 99 before sheridan and 10 minutes later you are at the access drive, then to the right of the split on a 1/4 mile shared wooded drive is an open gate, a few trees and an entrance to an old logging road to take you down to a small grove with seclusion and gentle breezes coming from up the year round spring fed stream nearby. My daughter and I had a lovely stay at this amazing property in the Witches Cabin. My daughter and I explored around the property and we had the best time. Dionne is a amazing host that helped us find the location and also came out to make sure we were all good at our campsite later on in the night. I recommend going to this hipcamp any time!

We had the best time in the forager site! The room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. We had a big storm come through the night of our stay and the hosts were super hospitable and brought us a backup power bank. The heater blankets on the bed were a great touch too! We will certainly be back!

Weekend Trip to Amico Roma Farm

Carly’s property and yurt made for a perfect weekend getaway! Though just minutes from downtown, it was quiet, private, peaceful, and secluded. The space had everything we needed, including a functional toilet and shower. Along with the cozy vibe of the yurt, there were plenty of options for hiking trails and close to a vineyard for wine tasting. I highly recommend this property for a nice, cozy getaway.

Weekend Trip to The Vintages Trailer Resort

Such an easy drive from the Portland area, and a romantic atmosphere with the way it’s lit up, and the fire pits. The bikes at each site are a nice touch, and the pass they give you to get discounts at nearby vineyards. Some tips if it’s your first time - consider bringing mainly microwaveable food as that was the only means of cooking inside our RV. The grill outside wasn’t covered and we would have gotten wet if it were raining. It was very private inside the RV but the site outside isn’t very private. It’s pleasant and has comfy chairs, though, and people give a friendly wave as they walk by. Also it’s very close to town so maybe treat yourself to a meal out while you’re there. :-) I would recommend this as a low-key, easy weekend getaway.

We had a fantastic and relaxing time with our pups. They loved running around in the grass, and sleeping inside by the cozy wood stove. The yurt is completely equipped, we barely had to bring more than some food and our clothes! We walked over to the winery next door, wandered the trails on the property, and relaxed with games and books. A really special weekend!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Vista Tent! Everything was impeccably clean, all you could possibly need was provided, and the bed was SO comfy! The view from the tent was beautiful, and it felt very secluded and private. The sauna was a great extra bonus and the property was large with woodsy trails to walk around too. We loved our time at Carly’s!! We loved it so much, we stayed an additional night. Every detail was thought of. Very well curated. It felt luxurious. And the sauna!!! Huge perk we went several times. Will definitely stay here again. Two things to note: be physically capable of walking up a steep incline while carrying items to get to the TENT. The location and view are perfect and very private, but it’s a little workout to get up there for sure. Secondly there are many farm animals and dogs. The noise travels easily and it can be noisy late into the night. We still slept fine and loved our stay overall - but important to be aware of before you arrive.
