Eagle Mountain Farm and Retreat is located in a picturesque, healthy forest outside Cottage Grove, Oregon. We offer two tent sites, a 20' yurt, and an intimate bedroom bungalow, available year-round for Hipcamp guests. Our mountain property sits at the end of a private residential road, close to I-5 and downtown Cottage Grove. Alongside the hosts’ house, there are a few other residents on the property. The area is rich with recreation opportunities, including biking, hiking, canoeing, boating, mushroom hunting, swimming, hunting and fishing, gold panning, rockhounding, and wildlife viewing. Eugene and the University of Oregon campus (including Hayward Field) are just 30 minutes away. It’s about an hour to the Oregon Coast, 15 minutes to Cottage Grove Lake, and 30 minutes to Dorena Reservoir. Umpqua National Forest is also nearby, with stunning waterfalls such as Spirit, Moon, and Pinard Falls only 45 minutes to an hour away. The Cottage Grove area is known for its covered bridges, mining history, and the scenic Row River Trail bike path. Film buffs may recognize local spots from Buster Keaton’s The General, Stand By Me, and Animal House. You’ll also find nearby farms, breweries, and vineyards offering tours and tastings. We are currently working on a big outdoor kitchen, where we will have pizza ovens, canning facilities and a beautiful place to gather in the woods. Again still a work in progress. Some spots have fire pits. Again depending on time of year and heat conditions. Because we have so many trees, we have to make sure no fires are to close to any tree's. Again, please Ask before burning. No random burning unless oked by land owners. Thank you for for helping to keep everyone safe. We have numerous ponds throughout the property and swimming holes. We turned the 4 stall barn into a music room where we gather and host events. Soon we will have designated Spots, equipped with fire rings. We will have teepees, tree houses, glamping tents. As of now we have room for numerous big groups spots for tent camping. Soon we’ll have plug-ins for RV and fifth wheel travelers. We have alot of space to camp and still have your privacy. Currently we have an out house and hose shower and you can also use the potty Under the Star's. We provide Toilet paper and try to keep stocked but, just ask if outhouses are out of paper. There are lovely walking trails throughout the property and tranquil sitting areas. We will update our progress as it happens. Hope to see you soon.. Remember to bring your own cooking equipment like grills. There's a cleaning station near shower. Water is straight from the well and beautiful drinking water. Aloha Remember, Pack in Pack out any and all trash. Also please Use designated compost areas of only compostable foods. No Meats or meat grease. Please leave your camp site better then you found it and pick up any trash in your area.

Weekend Trip to Eagle Mountain Farm and Retreat

I did hammock camping and it was awesome. The camp spots they have are super sweet, with a nice parking unloading spot right next to their outdoor kitchen. There’s a wheelbarrow to help unload your things(it’s not far, but comes in handy if you’ve got more than a handful) and lots of signs to help direct you to everything. The sauna was pretty much amazing.. almost as amazing as the people there! I would recommend to anyone and look forward to returning!! . Still kinda putting it all together but he has created something wonderful. It was a peaceful retreat in nature.

Pulling up I was a bit hesitant about the area, but we found I nice little spot,(I’m sure if there were more people coming to camp they would have got our spot which to me was the best for tent camping, we had the whole place to ourselves. First day walked to the falls & pick our spot in this secluded little sand beach with a level place to walk out to the deepest part of the river, we took our inner tubes & my daughter tooled around rock hunting. We enjoyed our stay until it started raining, we tried to out stay the rain but that wasn’t happening so we packed up. The compost toilet was a new thing for us & wasn’t too bad, better than just a hole in the ground where flys & bees buz around. My only complaint was I think it should have been dumped the next day. We enjoyed our stay & found out we do pretty good when off the grid (no water, phone service, or shower

Second stay here, perfect for what we needed. Just a quick couple days near Eugene, great access to town. Lovely drive out, clean and spacious site, very accommodating and attentive host! Friendly, but gives plenty of space to enjoy the quiet. 10/10 would stay again. If you decide to book this site and stay on site throughout the day, you will need to bring shade. We were gone both days throughout the day, so was not a problem for us, but does heat up around 10am. Very quiet and peaceful area! Great views of sunrises and moonrises!

My stay at June's property was very enjoyable. I camped in a very attractive, secluded area. The drive to the property was easy and directions were very good. It's about 16 miles from cottage Grove. I hope to stay there again and recommend it to others, especially for tent camping.

This was our first camp spot on our long road trip around Washington and Oregon. It was a nice quiet location with a river across the road. The spots were clean and spaced far enough apart and felt private. I would recommend this site as a great middle spot for exploring the surrounding areas like the Blue Pool, Umpqua Hot springs and many more beautiful nature sites.

Great stay at Dru's site! He was accommodating but gave us plenty of space to relax. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and the variety of birds around is fantastic! We saw deer several times in the mornings, and even had enough space for my kids to play in the site. 10/10 would recommend! Very safe location.

You'll Love It. Follow the exact Directions. As soon as we arrived we looked around going "wait this is the address but where are the signs and camp spots" June doesn't have signs up for a reason, for this to feel like you are literally on the land camping out, without signs & markers to make it more realistic to the wild, the Tanks she mentions are small older brown propane tanks in the grass look for those, no markers because it's Open Camping! Meaning yes you paid you'll have a spot but pick anyone you want! This again for a more real wild feel. Just 30 steps out her drive you'll find a small goat trail down to the most beautiful fairyland by the water - 5 mins drive to the left Wildwood Falls, keep driving and you'll find hundreds of your own private river spots. We stayed the entire time, met some friendly neighbors floated the small rapids found amazing rocks and completely cooked ourselves. The night was quiet and safe be some dog howls and a Goodnight from the neighboring donkey. We met June and Mr Beau her dog, she was absolutely so kind and sweet just as Beau was. From the Small safe private spots to the big open RV spots, two tent toilets with everything you'd need *bring a hand fan it's hotter than hell in the tents* Internet connection by the toilets Incase of emergencies, the river on all sides plus waterfalls, the most beautiful land to the kind and welcoming June and Beau! We will Absolutely Be back!!! Thank you so much June! We can't wait 🩵
