Grassy mowed area along the Sixes River on our cattle ranch and cranberry farm. We provide an outdoor shower and composting toilet shared by the 5 camp sites. The shower water is filtered water from a shallow well, but bring water to drink. This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite). Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided) Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.) - Please be accurate with the number of guests in your party. Please note about lack of signage: The "walters landing" and "92220" on airport road are the only markings to indicate our entrance. We don't want to put any "campground" signs to avoid curious trespassers into the property (we only want invited guests). Campsite Rules: 1. Enjoy. 2. No motorized vehicles besides your auto. 3. So peaceful and beautiful! The porta-potty was extra clean. We were only able to stay one night but hopefully we can come back for a longer visit soon. We were escorted out by about 2 dozen cows which was the perfect end to a lovely night and morning.

We booked late, but the directions provided were spot on and we had no trouble finding this lovely spot by the river. Quiet, open meadow with trees and brush with space between sites so it felt private and serene. Very friendly and helpful host. We would definitely stay here again!

This was easily one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. You can hear the roar of the ocean from the campsites and the calls of seabirds. The water of the river was clear and mild. The host Joe was very kind, welcoming and accommodating. We will absolutely be returning someday!

We camped at Fennel Flats (site #1) for two nights and loved it! The location was beautiful and peaceful. We were the only ones there with our pup, so we had the whole place to ourselves. Even if there were other campers, the sites are spaced far enough apart that it still feels private. The bathroom was clean, and the hot shower was such a treat after a long day outside. At night, we enjoyed stargazing, and our dog Twinkie had the best time running around and exploring. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we’d definitely come back!

I had such a peaceful stay at Fennel Flats. The views were stunning and the outdoor shower was fantastic. It’s a great location near to many things, including a hike to Black Rock Point just down the road! The Great Pyrenees dog was such a friendly love and was so well behaved around my cats as well. 10/10 recommend, will stay again!

Our 3rd time here and it’s as wonderful as ever. Site 3, while a little less private perhaps, has the most lovely river-side views. We saw lots of birds, little fish jumping and could hear the ocean in the distance at night. Love that shower with a river view! We will be back.

Weekend Trip to Fennel Flats - At The Orchard Hole

We stayed at site #1 and it was an absolute delight, in my opinion best site because of the privacy, and the large space, but honestly there were no bad sites. My dog loved the off leash aspect, lots of space to roam, and the other dogs were very friendly. I embarrassingly missed the firewood when I first arrived (it was in a very obvious space but I must have been distracted by checking out all the awesome campsites) and when I messaged Joe inquiring about the firewood he amazingly showed up and brought us some. Even though I had made the oversight he was gracious and so kind. He is a fantastic host. We slept so soundly, the camp was peaceful and felt very safe tucked in down a long driveway. It was perfect distance to the beach, and to Port Orford and Bandon where we ventured for snacks and site seeing. 10/10 would recommend and come back to camp again!

Such a great location and we'll appointed camp! We stayed at site #1 and had plenty of room between us and other sites. Super well maintained, amazing shower (crazy views and hot!) and composting toilet (also clean, no smells). Blacklock Point trails were spectacular and so close. I hope to be back!

3 nights at Dew Valley Ranch Nature Retreat

Can I just say wow! Dew Valley Ranch is one of the best glamping experiences I've ever had. The yurt, the bed and heating blanket. Shower towels, hot tub towels, and a thing to warm water, a fire pit and a super cutely decorated out door seating and eating area. We had a shower at our site with its own water heater, and a private bathroom. We had access to a hot tub, a sauna, and so many hikes. They have super cute goats, chickens, and a horse on the property that love people. I would highly recommend this ranch. And can't wait to stay again!!

One of the best sites I’ve ever stayed at. Had no trouble with the steep road pulling a 6000lb camper. 4wd helped. Site 1 was the best and felt the most private but they all had their pros and honestly you probably can’t go wrong with any choice. The propane shower was incredible. We have a shower in the camper but used their outdoor shower every day. 100% would camp here again.
