Grassy mowed area along the Sixes River on our cattle ranch and cranberry farm. We provide an outdoor shower and composting toilet shared by the 5 camp sites. The shower water is filtered water from a shallow well, but bring water to drink. This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite). Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided) Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.) - Please be accurate with the number of guests in your party. Please note about lack of signage: The "walters landing" and "92220" on airport road are the only markings to indicate our entrance. We don't want to put any "campground" signs to avoid curious trespassers into the property (we only want invited guests). Campsite Rules: 1. Enjoy. 2. No motorized vehicles besides your auto. 3. Make sure your fun doesn't detract from the fun had by other campers. 4. No illegal activity. 5. Clean up after your pet in the camp and river bank area or anywhere people will be walking or playing. 6. No unfriendly pets, even if they are on a leash. Cornerstone Ranch is a pristine Ranch of about 500 acres on the Rogue River and against the Pacific Ocean offering too many experiences to count. You can even bring your horse... FYI, Hipcamps map for site locations is not correct. Two go next to the driveway and the other four follow the creek. From the South GPS is very accurate to our driveway. Coming from the North, GPS may drop you a few driveways away as that is the property line. Keep driving about another 1/8th mile until you see the large red "Cornerstone Ranch" sign. That is our driveway. Welcome... The ranch offers 6 different campsites. Campfires are allowed (outside of burn bans), and there is a toilet in off season and Port-A-Potties during the summer on site as well. Reviews from guests: "During the night we could hear Elk and the nearby nature! When we woke up we got to visit with the horses, use the really clean port-potty, and chat with Bonnie and Chris the Hosts. They have tons of recommendations, but our favorite was the Indian creek cafe across the river. The areas so great and clean and the host cares about their guests! Would recommend!"

The Skoolie is our latest addition. It is near and dear to my heart because me and my husband lived in one 20 years ago in the Last Chance Community in Santa Cruz County. My friend ran her “Wisdom Mommy” boutique out of it in Port Orford, hence all of the adorable art work on the exterior. Coos Bay is the gateway to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, a 40-mile stretch of coastal sand dunes extending from Florence to Coos Bay. Our property is setup for RV campers only. You are welcome to bring your trailer with ATV, we just don't allow riding on our property. Sites are fairly level but they are on grass, so may require a bit of leveling.

The site is nestled in the middle of the vineyard next to our duck pond. Location is about 2 hours from Crater Lake, 1.5 from the Oregon coast. There is Ben Irving Reservoir right up the road that offers swimming, fishing, and water sports. Or you can drive up the Old Coos Bay Wagon Road to Iverson Park for some time in the forest.

This was a great place for us as we camp in a very large tent. It was peaceful, close to town and Bonnie was very responsive and welcoming. We enjoyed hearing the horses and chickens throughout the day. Our dog loved the grassy area in around our site.

Weekend Trip to Hideaway At The Vineyard

A very nice campout in the middle of a winery vineyard. Our host Kristie was very nice and helpful and gave us lots of information on the history of the winery. The site where we parked our 25 foot RV trailer. A nice covered picnic table area. Full hookups were at our disposal. Very quiet and peaceful area. We were parked next to the duck pond and heard them doing their thing and they sometimes came on land to pay a visit. Visited the wine tasting room and purchased a couple bottles. The vineyard was at our complete usage. We walked around quite a bit of it, talked to some grape pickers and saw the area where they make the wine. A nice tour of the area. Many thanks for everything. Highly recommended Hipcamp.

Go straight at the barn! (Don't go left!) Lovely pastoral land, mellow sheep, we could hear the rolling surf, the site was level and private--even though one other site was visible, adirondack chairs and wooden picnic table with benches were a bonus, and the fire pit was great! Nick is a patient, attendant host. I highly recommend this farm!

What i noticed first was the beautiful tree-lined drive in to the property. Gorgeous farm with lots of privacy between camps. Pleasantly surprised with the adirondack-type chairs around the fire pit. Beautiful picnic tables and flat areas for tents, etc. Loved the big dog mascot as well!

Great stay at this sheep farm. Easy to find, chill experience overall. The farm dog is super sweet. Sites are far enough apart it's private, quiet and dark. Had a good sleep here and would stay again. Fire pit & wood was provided(when bought) along with picnic bench.

3 nights at Dew Valley Ranch Nature Retreat

Can I just say wow! Dew Valley Ranch is one of the best glamping experiences I've ever had. The yurt, the bed and heating blanket. Shower towels, hot tub towels, and a thing to warm water, a fire pit and a super cutely decorated out door seating and eating area. We had a shower at our site with its own water heater, and a private bathroom. We had access to a hot tub, a sauna, and so many hikes. They have super cute goats, chickens, and a horse on the property that love people. I would highly recommend this ranch. And can't wait to stay again!!

Our family enjoyed our 4 nights here at Cornerstone Ranch. Host was very welcoming and very passionate in sharing the love of horses. The animals were enjoyable to share the property with. Where to go

South Coast

Bandon is smack in the middle of the South Coast, arguably the prettiest stretch of the Oregon Coast. Here you'll find massive sand dunes, viewpoints, and lots of opportunities for crabbing.

Coquille River

Stretching for 36 miles inland from Bandon, the Coquille River is best known for clamming and crabbing. It’s also a great area for wildlife viewing, particularly at the Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, just outside of town.

Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest

Encompassing a large swathe of coastal southern Oregon and Northern California, this coniferous woodland offers miles of hiking, boating, and wildlife-viewing opportunities.

When to go

Bandon is a year-round destination, though the weather is most favorable from June through September. The biggest annual event in town is the Cranberry Festival, which takes place just after Labor Day and honors area cranberry farming with all kinds of entertainment, including a cranberry-eating contest. Winter festivities include an annual tree-lighting ceremony and a Holiday Light Parade, while the Bandon Crab Festival—held in February—celebrates crabbing with live entertainment and a sumptuous crab dinner.
