This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive mountain terrain (rocky). The one RV site is for 16 ft. or less vehicles and smaller teardrop trailers with limited hook-up and no dump station. Restroom and shower facilities are located within the park. Individual campsites DO NOT have onsite toilets. Forest setting while still close to stores in case of forgotten items. Variety of small wildlife in the area. Individual sites are acres apart designed in such a way that every experience is peaceful and private. We offer maintained camping sites which are easily accessible and come with amenities, in addition, we host an alternative primitive camping experience for the pros further in the Backwoods. What ever your needs or preference we have a spot for you! We have easy access to two main highways with the nearest Walmart 10 minutes away, not to mention great cell phone coverage for all the main providers at most locations on the property. A little bit about how we started. Like most of us, we were in desperate need of a place to get away from the bustle and grind of daily life, to slow down, decompress, and destress. This land the universe had waiting for us, gave us just that! It changed our lives and now we are excited to open up this sanctuary to others who share our passion for the great outdoors! Interestingly, each year we find out more about our home, from its Native American prehistory, to its 19th century Civil War conflict, and most recently, a lost article published in the 1940s in the local Oklahoman gazette that enticingly gossips about long lost Buried Treasure!

Nestled just a quarter mile from the entrance of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, our glamping village sits on a scenic hill behind our cafe, offering stunning views of Mt. Scott and direct access to nearby hiking trails. We currently feature two glamping wall tents- Zion and Selah, which include a wooden deck and framed queen-size outfitted beds, bistro table and chairs inside creating a cozy, romantic retreat you won't forget. Both wall tents have an Icy Breeze AC cooler available upon request which helps to stay cool while inside the tent. Our hillside location cools down nicely in the evenings with a lovely breeze. We recommend keeping your mesh windows unzipped and open to allow the wind to gently pass through. Swim at Bath Lake durring the afternoon, chill inside our cafe, or visit our neighbors at the Aquarium....all great ways to stay cool durring the heat of the day! We have also recently added a new canvas bell tent- Bethany which features two XL heavy duty twin cots with super comfy mattress toppers, bamboo cooling sheets, and full plush bedding. Our bathhouse includes two private rooms, each equipped with a camping toilet, pump sink, and thoughtful amenities for your comfort. Our outdoor shower will be refreshing after a long hike as well! We have two standing outdoor grills for your cooking needs. Both on the gravel parking lot level, one by the covered patio, the other by the picnic area. Bring your own charcoal, for easy lighting and convenient cooking. Please remember to leave no trace, use trash recepticles and do not leave any food out for the wildlife. Bringing a pet? They are very welcome here, however, we now require a $30 pet fee due to additional cleaning and potential damages. Please add this on to your booking. For those seeking a more rustic experience, we also offer nine primitive walk-up campsites where you can bring your own tent, or request our pre set tent (requires 48 hrs notice). We offer catch and release fishing in the pond along with walking trails marked by the mowed pathways. Use the outdoor faucets on the house for water. The fire pit surrounded by rocks is located near the picnic benches under the trees by the pond next to the log cabin house. RV Spots have 110, 30amp, 50amp hookups along with water, sewer, and wifi. Trash is the dumpster at the driveway entrance. Dry/tent spots are at least 20’ wide by 40’ deep and can be used for campers or tent camping. These are located on the grassy areas. There are NO hookups for dry/tent dispersed sites. We now have a wash house! It is located immediately when entering the part to the right of the entrance driveway. There is a shower, sink and toilet in the bathroom and a coin-op clothes washer and dryer. Cost is $2 in quarters per load.

My healing journey brought me to Sky Valley Acres, and I'm grateful it did. I have struggled with chronic illness for much of my life, particularly eczema and fatigue. After moving out of a moldy home and work environment, I was encouraged to spend time in a place with really clean air. My stay was a 2.5 week retreat into nature and fresh air. I can genuinely say I noticed a difference! In days, I experienced about a 50-75% relief in my symptoms (my flaking skin around my wrists became almost baby smooth around day 9!), which I strongly believe was due to the environment here. This was the main reason I came here, and I'm very happy to be able to say this. This is a really beautiful and tranquil piece of land, and Ash, the host, has thoughtfully and tastefully made great use of the land to maximize enjoyment and appreciation of its beauty. Trail walkways are mowed which helps a lot with tick avoidance (though not to be completely relied upon, I spotted 4 ticks in the wild here in early October), lots of the land have been preserved as-is especially in the primitive section for one's appreciation of raw beauty. I became very comfortable with it. Clean bathroom with toilet, sink, shower available added a level of comfort to camping that I really appreciated without turning it into a full on glamping experience. But if you want the raw camping experience there are of course the composting toilets available too ;) Ash is a kind soul, and I am grateful to have met him. He welcomed me personally at my site and we bonded right away over a mutual interest in meditation. I really enjoyed the conversations that came out of it.

My wife and I had a great time at site #6! The bathrooms were very nice and clean. The site felt very private and it’s a perfect spot along the trees where you get some shade during the day. The hammock provided was super comfortable for two people to lay/sit in and makes a nice addition to the site. The fire ring had a nice grill attachment on it for cooking

Tchinina’s land is utterly magical and so well-stewarded. I stayed at the Live Oak camp site and plan to stay there again traveling back through Oklahoma! I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a beautiful gem at the end of a road and for anyone who enjoys connecting over permaculture, community, and land stewardship.

Weekend Trip to alpaca camping

Wonderful stay! We were greeted by 3 very happy Great Pyrenees dogs and their 2 adorable puppies. The campsite was adorable. We were in our campervan and the space worked great for us. We were able to park under a shade tree. It had an adorable old alpaca trailer they had turned into a portable bathroom. It had a spool and 2 smaller spools to use as a table and chairs, a fir pit with a couple benches to sit around it, and a hammock which were all adorable touches. We had a great time watching the alpacas (and petting the friendly ones) and hanging out with the adorable dogs and puppies! Thanks for the great stay!

For a last-minute decision made while enjoying the amazing food in the cafe, this was an incredible experience! We were especially grateful to Darrell for upgrading us to the larger tent. The site is just a short distance from Mt Scott and Medicine Park. Plan for >1 night to enjoy designated areas for sunset watching, outdoor games, and campfires. An outdoor stage with live music on select days and a Saturday morning yoga session. The Healthy Hippie Cafe & Bar, can't say enough. The level of hospitality from Darrell and the cafe staff, Dani and Daisy, was impeccable. Sitting outside at sunset and hearing both the sounds of nature and the music drifting up from the blues festival in Medicine Park was a great treat. At night, the highway traffic dies down and it gets very quiet, save for the wind and local wildlife. Bring an eye mask if you require total darkness, there is a streetlight nearby and early sunrise light. For those unfamiliar with glamping, please note that it offers comfort, but it is not a luxury hotel room: Darrell provides a portable AC cooler to help keep the tent cool, but canvas tents naturally fluctuate with the outdoor temperature. The heavy-duty wall tents are set on elevated wooden decks, which helps keep critters away. Tents do not have ensuite bathrooms. There's a shared, dedicated, eco-friendly bathroom and a unique enclosed outdoor shower. It is significantly better than a standard campground, but will require walking outside. We'll be back!

The cabin is perfect. John is great he helped us with getting to town after our car broke down. The grounds has so much to offer. I came in Nov seen John building the cabin and had to come back. Where to go

Western Oklahoma

Characterized by diverse landscapes, western Oklahoma’s popular spots include Little Sahara State Park, which features desert-like dunes popular for off-roading, and Alabaster Caverns State Park, where visitors can explore one of the largest natural gypsum caves on earth. You can even go digging for selenite crystals in the Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge or go rappelling in the Red Rock Canyon Adventure Park.

Central and South-Central Oklahoma

In the center of the state, Oklahoma City is a great place to get your bearings, with all sorts of museums. A number of lakes are set around town, including Lake Thunderbird State Park, which offers boating, swimming, and camping just a short drive out. If you're headed toward Tulsa, make a pitstop in the town of Chandler, where you can learn about regional history at the Chandler Route 66 Interpretive Center or the Lincoln County Museum of Pioneer History. If you’d rather just play outside, Turner Falls Park and the Chickasaw National Recreation Area in the Arbuckle Mountains offer scenery and camping options.

Northeastern Oklahoma

Oklahoma's northeastern region is characterized by cute towns and numerous Route 66 roadside attractions, not to mention lots of lovely lakes. Lake Tenkiller, Keystone Lake, Grand Lake, and Lake Eufaula all offer plenty of opportunities for watersports and outdoor recreation.

Southeastern Oklahoma

Oklahoma's southeast is all about scenery, with nine state parks and plenty of forest land to get out and explore. The region is home to Antlers, the so-called "Deer Capital of the World," where you can learn about the creatures at the Wildlife Heritage Center Museum. If visiting in fall, make sure to take a drive along the 54-mile Talimena National Scenic Byway, which offers opportunities to check out fall colors. Popular camping areas along the way can be found in the Ouachita National Forest, Talimena State Park, Broken Bend State Park, and the Cedar Lake Recreation Area.
