Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. The Sugar Shack is the perfect secluded primitive stay! Be prepared to take one of the wagons if you packed a lot of stuff. Aimee did a fantastic job utilizing her land for campers, It’s family friendly and there’s plenty to do. The wood burning stove was the perfect addition to our cold autumn evenings, it makes it so cozy while settling in for the night. When we first got there, Aimee had the stove packed for us already and a bundle of wood. I would recommend a trip here 10/10!!

We really enjoyed camping here , the vintage airstream campers were very nice. The outdoor setting with fireplace area was an added bonus. Will definitely be back.

We had a great time camping in Robert's Air Stream. It was a perfect camp setting for our granddaughter's (3) first camping trip. The night sky was beautiful. And there were plenty of things to do nearby.

This cozy a-frame cabin has a full-sized bed with a comfy memory foam mattress. Clean bedding provided.

What a perfect spot and perfect stay! It felt like a quiet and secret hideaway and yet everything that I needed was so easily accessible, including local hikes, attractions, and her farm stand. She has thought of many little touches that help guests feel welcome and the stay cozy and comfortable. I hope to return soon!

Weekend Trip to Fruitdale Farm

Such a cute and unique place! I originally got Hipcamp to find some places for tent camping but thought the cabin was too cute. We loved the whole set up and farm. It’s private and well cared for. We loved the veggie and produce stand by the firewood. We also had a lovely farm cat stay with us for the second evening which was adorable. We are not afraid of bugs and spend most weekends camping but there were definitely a surplus of stink bugs in the cabin which made me a bit meh, mostly they were present in the daytime so not terrible at night. Guessing just a seasonal thing but definitely something to consider if you’re weird with bugs. Otherwise, everything was perfect!!

This was such a cute spot! We loved how secluded it was. Nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of cicadas and rain on the roof. We only had one night but might be back to try farming for a day or a tractor ride as advertised on their website!

Weekend Trip to Fruitdale Farm

This place was truly magical. I did not want to leave. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and spent the weekend snuggled in the woods at the Sugar Shack. We enjoyed all of the trails connecting through the property, took advantage of the sauna, and took some homemade goodies home from the farm stand. I'd love to go back in the winter and enjoy the wood burning stove inside the shack. It wasn't quite warm enough for us to take advantage of it this trip.

We have never had a bad HipCamp experience, but Aimee’s farm far exceeded our expectations. Fruitdale Farms is an absolute gem of a retreat. It’s obvious that Aimee puts her heart and soul into this land. The Sugar Shack is such a charming place to unwind and reconnect with friends and nature. We can’t wait to return with our kiddos and friends to try out one of the beautiful campsites on the property. We will be back again and again. Thank you, Aimee!

Weekend Trip to Stargazer Glamping Campsite

Pretty easy to find. Not on a main road. Not too far from it. Locked gated entry. Surrounded by trees and a creek. Beautiful property. Lots of wildflowers. I took a nap in the hammock when I arrived and unpacked. More than one seating area. Big fire pit. Huge, Beautifully decorated tent. Pretty much everything you would need. Eating and cooking utensils. Towels. I didnt get to use the pretty outdoor shower it was just too cold. Got down to 48. Site says heated but they didnt have a stove set up yet. Other than hearing the family playing across the creek there are no cons. I had a nice peaceful evening. I very much enjoyed my quiet time here at stargazer. Thank you 😊

I enjoyed my time at Fruitdale Farm. The Cedar Sanctuary was just as described. It is tucked in its own little grove and offers peace and privacy. The bed was very comfy. The land is lovely and well cared for. Lots of beautiful trials nearby.
