Weekend Trip to Goat Farm Hide-Away CVNP

We returned for the 3rd time to camp at Allison's Gaga for Goats property. It's such a nice place to visit! The goats and other animals are so much fun to pet and are so friendly. The property is very comfortable and in a nice location for exploring the area.

2 nights at Goat Farm Hide-Away CVNP

Allison’s farm was one of the funnest places I have camped so far. We woke up to the sound of baby goats playing which just made us giggle with delight and set a happy tone for the day. The goats, chickens, ducks and turkey were introduced to us by name. The farm was clean and tidy as were the bathroom facilities. Allison even went above and beyond to loan us a few bowls when we realized we had forgotten our mess kits. She is a true gem! 10 out of 10 we recommend GaGa for Goats farm as a camping destination. Next time Im bringing my daughter and grandson. Oh, and it was an easy 8 minute drive to the Cuyahoga National Park visitor center too. Location was great and easy to find.

Excellent location and beautiful property for boondocking. Close to Cuyahogo National Park, Canton, Akron and all the quaint townships you go through while going to your adventures. The hosts responded to my messages and were helpful and very nice.

Jason and his wife were great hosts. Notified us prior to arrival to let us know where to park. Lots of flat level space with a beautiful setting of a pond. Very private too. Nice fire pit area although we did not utilize it. Great location with lots to keep you busy. They gave us great recommendations of where to go and grab a bite to eat while we were there. We only stayed one night however, if we were in that area in the future we would not hesitate to stay again!

Jim's place was super cute! Our site (site #8) was really close to the home, but we still felt like we had privacy. We also felt super welcome to explore the land and come and go as we pleased. We stayed on a cold night and have a fully sheltered restroom so close to the site was lovely. We'd definitely stay here again!

Nice place to camp for a few nights! Easy access to water, pretty views. 2nd time we’ve stayed.

We had a great night by the pond in our tent! Marcie encouraged us to start a fire too and we enjoyed their great fire pit and comfy chairs. Great spot to visit Cuyahoga from!

We are a small goat farm located within minutes of Blossom Music Center, Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Sarah’s Vineyard. There are many activities nearby such as hiking trails, bike paths, metro parks, fishing, kayaking, river floating, swimming and even train rides. Our farm allows for hands-on contact with our animals, along with many other activities for younger kids to enjoy during their stay. We welcome tent campers, tree hammocks, small RVs and small/mid-size campers. We also welcome friendly, leashed pups. ***Please note that we are a working farm, and that we may have scheduled farm visits during the hours of 10-4 daily.

The massive timbers and joinery are constant reminders of the meticulous craftsmanship of the era. Jim and Kathy Grogg purchased Pleasant Valley Farm in 1994 and not only updated the house and barn, but also expanded the lake to its current 13 acres. The large 144-year-old, 2736-square-foot barn is now available for special occasions such as weddings, receptions, birthdays, and reunions.

Come watch the sunset overlooking our beautiful garden, explore the vibrant campus life, or cook yourself a meal in our open outdoor kitchen. The space: Our campsites are situated on active organically farmed land. We have several sleeping spots available and amenities include an outhouse, an outdoor kitchen with sink & gas stove and seating area. Guests can freely use the basement shower which can be accessed through the red storm doors on the side of the house. Other things to note: Helpful to have a car even though campus is so close. 1/4 of the 25 minute walk to campus is along a state route. There is a beautiful longer walk to avoid the highway along a bike trail but if you have places to be, either ask us for a ride or best you have your own vehicle :) I walk all the time. Very doable just depends on your preference.
