Wonderful! This was our very first trip in our first ever trailer and I’m so thankful to have found Curtis and Michelle’s spot to figure it all out. Even if you are seasoned campers, you will enjoy the quiet, playing in the creek and electric/ water hookups at every site. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the bison ranch three nights and loved it and would be glad to return again. When we arrived, Glen was there to greet us and reviewed the property and amenities with us. The RV site is perfectly placed where you can view the pond and surrounding farmland. The property is well maintained, including the Meadows for the steers and the buildings. Glen was available if needed if we had any questions and very accommodating. My wife and I highly recommend the site!

Curtis met us in the driveway to show us where to park. The spots are all flat and level with a nice little creek running right next to them. It was a great place to stay after a long day on the road!

It was very relaxing experience for us. The site was beautiful, sound of creek was very soothing. Curtis and Michelle were great hosts and we enjoyed their property very much. We weren’t paying much attention how to get down to the site and a little confused when we arrived. I recommend paying attention to the directions on the property photo before your arrival.

We had an awesome time at Green Plains Bison Ranch! Beautiful setting and just 15 min from Yellow Springs. It's quiet, peaceful, and a perfect place to bring your dogs and relax with the best view. We will definitely be back. You can fill your water tank and they have electric too.

Weekend Trip to Camp Rocky Run

A little bit of a lean getting down to the camp area so I’d suggest that you have 4WD to help you get out. There is a highway that runs behind the trees and river so every so often you’ll hear a big truck rumbling down the road. Now for the good: Curtis and Michelle are very friendly and helpful. There’s strong reliable WiFi, water, 30amp and 110v all included. A slow shallow creek that you can dip your toes into with a swing nearby. A picnic table and fire pit with wood to burn. We’ll be back if we’re on our way through!

1 night at Camp Rocky Run

Very courteous hosts, we met and spoke a few times. Upon arrival Curtis showed us the best route to the camping area near the creek where there’s 30amp, 110 outlets and water hook ups also included WiFi that is nearby with unlimited data. Fire pit with wood to burn and a swing. We have a 40’ travel trailer and fit easily. The creek is shallow and slow moving so your dog can splash all they want.

4 nights at Resting Roost

We loved camping out here! It was super peaceful and nice. There was only two down falls (weather sucked big time but it gave us more time to spend quality time together, and the grass is really long and unfortunately my mother in law did find a tick in her ear, we would highly recommend trimming it often to prevent any further issues). Otherwise Joshua and Rachael were amazing! They tried to help us with the shower issue we had but due to weather and our hot water tank going it didn’t work out, but we managed! They offered to give us info on local spots etc. overall just an incredible experience. We would definitely camp here again!

Everything went GREAT! Kim is super friendly and sweet! Although it was windy for our stay, Kim’s farm was PERFECT for our first time camping in our new travel trailer! We look forward to camping here again. The cows were a plus as well😇

4 nights at GloryField Hospitality Farm

Had to be in Jamestown, OH for a couple of days, and this Hip Camp site was in the perfect location. The setting was peaceful, and each morning brought a beautiful sunrise. Unfortunately, the weather was cold, windy, and rainy during our stay—I wish it had been warmer so I could have taken a nature walk around the property. The site was easy to access, making arrival and departure hassle-free. Kimberly, the host, was fantastic with communication, and if you're traveling with a group, she has nearby Airbnb properties as well. Looking forward to coming back in better weather!

GloryField Hospitality Farm is a 148 acre active farm and vacation destination. Enjoy your stay and the picturesque view of fields, cow pastures, and wetland pond. Spend your day fishing at the catch & release pond, hiking the 2 miles of mowed trails, you are 3 miles from the Ohio Erie Prairie Bike Trail head. Ask about helping with some of the farm chores. In the evening roast s'mores on a campfire, catch fireflies, or stargaze away from artificial light. The farm is shared space with a variety of short term rental sites; however each site has over 100ft away from each other. The owner Kim also lives on the property in the barn with her 2 golden doodles Scooby & Trixie. GloryField is an active farm so there are also people, vehicles, and farm equipment that have access to the property. They are the only people allowed to drive beyond the driveway. The nearest town of S. Charleston is 3 miles down the road and has a good grocery store, gas station, & dollar stores. Restaurants include Pizza/sub/salads, Chinese, Coffee shop, bakery, & Ice cream (unfortunately no delivery). Other popular destinations are... Cedarville University - 10 Minutes, Yellow Springs & Youngs Jersey Dairy - 20 Minutes. Larger cities of Springfield, Xenia, & London - 30 minutes. Dayton, Columbus, Kings Island, and The Air Force Museum - 1 hour.

Rocky Run Creek is a tributary to Seven Mile Creek in Preble County, OH Small creek near residential area. Choice of wide open spaces, partial or full shade spots available. Short walking trail along the creek line is maintained. 'Rocky Cross' Geocach nearby. Please be aware that if we have had a lot of rain, the creek side spots may be too wet and difficult to get back up the hill with the wet grass. If this is the case, we do have the gravel barn driveway that can accommodate your stay. During peak busy season, the barn drive may have additional guests due to site, weather or general camping conditions. The barn drive offers a view of the creek area about 100 feet away and is about 175 feet from the patio common area. WiFi covering the entire camp and all cellular carriers work great here. 30 Amp electrical in many spots. White tank water fill is available in select locations. Plenty of room for tow vehicle at your camp site. Pet policy: Dogs / pets are certainly welcome subject to the following: No destructive behaviors. (Digging, chewing, etc) No aggressive behaviors. (Toward anyone at any time) Please consider that other guests may be present. As of 5/1/24, a new overflow RV spot has been added with 30A electrical. As of 5/1/24, Premium WiFi is now available for additional $5 / day with fast WiFi speeds for working remotely. You must have a self contained RV with on board restroom facilities. We have no restroom facilities available. For this reason, we do not offer tent camping. !! NOTE on camp fire location !! The fire ring provided on the shared creek side patio is the only spot a camp fire, of any kind, can be built. (Sorry, but we have had too many damaged spots in the grass from the use of 'portable' fire ring units.) !! NOTE on Class A RVs with towed vehicle !! If it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the nearby barn driveway but if you are unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. Again, this is only if it is too wet to access the creek side camp spots. Generally we will be able to help you back in, but at times we may be away and suggest a helper in guiding you into the barn drive. Note, the barn driveway is not a pull through site.
