Artemis Gardens BnB is more than just a place to sleep (in cozy, enchanting bedrooms) and eat (delicious food the host makes for you). It’s an eclectic oasis nestled within nature, infused with art, and just a few miles from Dayton - very convenient if you’re attending an event or visiting someone in Ohio! I live on the property in a separate cabin, with three indoor cats - Artemis, Luna, and Nemo. They can hang with you or I can keep them away depending on your preference. When I book individual rooms, I fix breakfast for my guests. When the entire cabin is booked, I can still provide breakfast or you can have the place all to yourself. You’ll always have my contact info and I won’t be too far away. Nature is strong here. The cabin is rustic, some of the native plants can be prickly, and pollinators are everywhere - including the honeybees with stingers (who live in three different natural hives on the property). In other words, stay aware of your surroundings. • Stroll among the flowers, fresh air, and sounds of nature. • Enjoy homemade breakfast noms in the sunroom. • Check out a book from the home library. • Get the band back together in the music lounge. • Dip into the art supplies if inspiration strikes. • Close the curtains and nap anytime in your own private bedroom made for a goddess. • Gather your friends, book all three of the rooms, and reconnect for a weekend. • Meet new friends by mingling with fellow guests in the safe, inclusive shared spaces. • It’s only five miles back to the BnB if you’re going to a show at Rose Music Center. • Take a five minute drive to see Charleston Falls and hike. • Need a picnic packed or candlelight dessert setup? Learn more about this land:This is a forested area including trails and a wooded wetland. Campfire sight is provided as well as a port a john toilet. It is a rustic site with a small cabin and areas to pitch tents. The area where the cabin sits is all pines. Secluded area yet close to town. Easy access from State Route 33. Walk in or drive in depending on your vehicle you drive. The cabin consist of a fold out bed, table and heater. Propane is provided as is a rustic portable ice chest inside the cabin. For those that desire to shoot small handguns we do have a pistol range on the property. In addition we have elevated totally enclosed stands for wildlife observation and photo opportunities. Our site was rated as Tree Farmer of the year (2021). Lots of wildlife and again very private oasis in the midst of a growing rural community.

Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods. Learn more about this land: Make a stop back in time to our quiet woodland retreat with an updated 1800’s log cabin nestled on the property. At Cabin and Company, you will be parked beside this beautiful cabin and will be allowed access at your leisure for a place to sit and relax. (No overnight sleeping allowed inside) Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (provided) while watching tv or on our covered porch outside. You may also select a movie or two from our large selection of DVDs or find a book to read among our stash of books. Play cards, engage in one of the other games provided, or just sit in the quiet of it all and rest your mind. There is a golf chipping area as well as basketball. We have WIFI at our residence on the adjacent property and some areas of the camp will pick it up better than others. There is a fire ring on site with an adjustable grate for cooking and plenty of seasoned firewood available.. We will have a few items available for purchase inside the cabin including local honey (when available) apple butter, coffee, hand crafted walking sticks and you won’t want to leave without some of these goodies. This semi secluded property is a gem and we hope you will enjoy this piece of history as much as we do. You may see wildlife such as whitetail deer and of course, there are plenty of birds and squirrels around. You won’t be disappointed in this cozy Midwest retreat and will want to make this one of your places while passing through our beautiful Ohio. Most of all, relax and enjoy.

Experience this cozy and unique tiny house perched atop of Mad River Mountain Ski Resort. The tiny house is located in the beautiful Mountain Top RV Campground, and can be enjoyed year round. It provides a fun and peaceful getaway while still being 15 minutes away from downtown Bellefontaine. The tiny house is hooked up in an RV campsite with electric, septic and water. It does have distance from other campers, with woods behind the tiny house. You can enjoy AC in the summer and heat in the winter. Owner of Rusty Fig Redesign, interior designer Janet and her two sons purchased the Tiny House and rehabbed it in a Swedish modern style, with lots of natural elements, and cozy features. Come stay at our family labor of love! The Rusty Fig Tiny House is your tiny getaway, with everything you need to be at home. There is a queen size bed in the loft only accessible by ladder. The sofa does fold out as an additional bed (which can fit one adult or 2 small children). The tiny house has a flushable toilet and working shower (hot water lasts about 5 continuous minutes and regenerates about every 30 minutes.) Connect to nature and sit outside by the fire pit, though you must supply your own firewood. All the fixings for smores are provided for 2 guests on the first night, plus complimentary hot beverages throughout your stay. Enjoy your dinner outside or play a game on the picnic table provided. We now have Wi-Fi! In winter, skiing is a short walk (~250 feet). Ski in, ski out for great convenience! Our Tiny House is: 1 min from Mad River Mountain Ski Resort 15 minutes away from Bellefontaine, OH (lots of shops, restaurant and things to do!) 18 minutes away from the Ohio Caverns 30 minutes away from Indian Lake State Park - Dog Park, Boating, Fishing, Hiking

My stay at Lisa's was just magical. The vibe was just heaven to this old hippie's heart who felt like a kid in a candy store exploring all the Wonders that can be found in every corner. This place is so unique warm and welcoming there's a little something for just about everyone unless you just want to hold up in a room alone and then you might as well go to a Motel 6 because this place is all about engaging in life in all forms whether it is chilling out to good music, creating some art or playing music on one of the instruments or cooking a nice meal for the first time in 6 weeks, even just sitting and watching the rain through the beautiful floor to ceiling Windows surrounded by plants. I have already told many friends and I'm planning a return visit. Thank you Lisa you are a gracious and beautiful hostess

This cabin and the land was a perfect place to relax and explore. The trails through the forest to the cabin are very nice, and the cabin itself was clean and well stocked with supplies. The provided trash cans made things much easier regarding clean up/ pack out. The hosts thought of everything to make this an enjoyable stay, thanks again!

My adult daughter and I do a get away each year to celebrate our birthdays. We both are exhausted professionals and need to truly wind down. Lisa’s place was exactly what we needed. The house is so deeply chill and comfy! So many cool things to look at and touch. The added plus of the hanging hoop really blew my daughter’s mind and I loved watching her play like a girl again. We will 100% be coming back!!!

Lisa (human), Nemo, Luna, and Artemis (cats) were amazing hosts during my stay. I came for an outdoorsy getaway and the hiking in the area was plentiful and close. Definitely check out the Charleston Falls - they're amazing year round! Lisa's house is a work of art, each nook and cranny painted and decorated with her own work and charming decor. The room was cozy, the bed comfy, the cats friendly (shout out to my girl Nemo, who will crawl into your skin if you let her. Lots of kisses and cuddles from that ginger sweetheart). The highlight is the sitting room with gorgeous plants and lots of sunlight, looking out onto greenery and critters. Lisa was a gracious host who answered all messages/requests quickly. She made me breakfast and gave me recs for local spots. Spot was easy to find, parking was easy, and although there are a few far-flung neighbors it was 100% quiet.

We had a great time glamping in our adorable Indian Lake tiny house! The grounds are well maintained and lovely, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. On the edge of the property is a brew pub with games, cozy seating indoors and out, fire pits, and sometimes even live music and food trucks, which was a pleasant surprise. House was well equipped with many essentials, too. Would definitely stay again!!

Had to be in Jamestown, OH for a couple of days, and this Hip Camp site was in the perfect location. The setting was peaceful, and each morning brought a beautiful sunrise. Unfortunately, the weather was cold, windy, and rainy during our stay—I wish it had been warmer so I could have taken a nature walk around the property. The site was easy to access, making arrival and departure hassle-free. Kimberly, the host, was fantastic with communication, and if you're traveling with a group, she has nearby Airbnb properties as well. Looking forward to coming back in better weather!

I loved staying at Rustic Reteat! The property is beautiful and Ro wet was a generous host. I don't do the traditional tent camping but I stead have decked out my car for camping with a hatchback tent. Robert had a space for me to pull my car into and stay for the week. Since it was the "off season" I happened to be the only camper here, so it was very quiet. It was also provided an extension cord to be able to hook up my electric and stay comfortably during the last of the winter weather. I highly recommend staying here. The airstreams that are available to stay in look beautiful and are situated to give privacy for any camper.

GloryField Hospitality Farm is a 148 acre active farm and vacation destination. Enjoy your stay and the picturesque view of fields, cow pastures, and wetland pond. Spend your day fishing at the catch & release pond, hiking the 2 miles of mowed trails, you are 3 miles from the Ohio Erie Prairie Bike Trail head. Ask about helping with some of the farm chores. In the evening roast s'mores on a campfire, catch fireflies, or stargaze away from artificial light. The farm is shared space with a variety of short term rental sites; however each site has over 100ft away from each other. The owner Kim also lives on the property in the barn with her 2 golden doodles Scooby & Trixie. GloryField is an active farm so there are also people, vehicles, and farm equipment that have access to the property. They are the only people allowed to drive beyond the driveway. The nearest town of S. Charleston is 3 miles down the road and has a good grocery store, gas station, & dollar stores. Restaurants include Pizza/sub/salads, Chinese, Coffee shop, bakery, & Ice cream (unfortunately no delivery). Other popular destinations are... Cedarville University - 10 Minutes, Yellow Springs & Youngs Jersey Dairy - 20 Minutes. Larger cities of Springfield, Xenia, & London - 30 minutes. Dayton, Columbus, Kings Island, and The Air Force Museum - 1 hour.
