2 nights at Tranquility Spring Campground

If solitude is what you’re looking for, this is certainly a good option. Flat parking spot, running water, electrical hookup, fire ring and lots of tree cover.

3 nights at Tranquility Spring Campground

Another great trip. Camp site is great and close to all the public hunting areas around. It’s quiet and you can’t beat the price and location and having water and electric. Just know if you have a longer trailer it’ll be a little tough to get backed in due to the angle of the spot. Will be back next year

3 nights at Bear Pond

Once again, I had another incredible stay at Bear Pond. This time, I used Nola’s Cabin, which is available as an extra, along with firewood bundles and other amenities. Host John has included many thoughtful appointments to the cabin, including a nice-sized refrigerator with a real freezer, heating, fan, table, screens on the windows, and space for your own belongings. I am so very fussy about mattresses, but the sleep accommodations at Nola’s Cabin are outstanding. I slept incredibly well, which makes for a great day of hiking the next morning. If I had my own place in Adams County, I would want it to be like Nola's Cabin at Bear Pond.

Betty Sue, and I loved staying @ Nola’s cabin, it’s the perfect place to stay out of the elements, it offers everything you need to have a peaceful, relaxing stay. The 🌲pine trees are absolutely beautiful. My next visit I will bring my paints and sit on the porch and paint 🎨 My 100 # Cane Corso dog BettySue though she was in seventh Heaven! We both enjoyed our stay at John’s, Bear Pond property and they were perfect host. Thank you! We be back ASAP✌️

Weekend Trip to Bear Pond

Bear pond is a must visit!! It was so peaceful out there. The night sky is beautiful out and John has the shelter equipped with all you need. It was down to 10 degrees one night but I was perfectly warm in the shelter. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Bear Pond

We had a great time camping here! The camp stove and picnic tables were really great, the tables were spread around the camp area for easy use. Nolas cabin was a lovely area for my kids to relax in with some protection from our chilly overnight temps! Extra add-on eggs and firewood made meal planning and campfires a breeze. Thank you for a lovely weekend!!

Property is located about 2 miles from the small town of Oak Hill. The area has a Welsh heritage and offers a Welsh museum. Once a prominent brick manufacturing area. Today the area is home to a decent size Old Order Amish community. You will see horses and buggies daily and there are several Amish businesses open to the public including a huge greenhouse, a hardware and bait & tackle store and a bulk food store to name a few. Our area is also a popular stop for hunters of all types since we are close to Wayne National Forest and Cooper Hollow Wildlife area. We need to mention that pets are welcome but need to be on leash or contained at all times due to horses and other animals that are nearby. There is also 4 dogs who live on the property and are always on patrol :) They keep the monsters away but are welcoming to our guests! We look forward to seeing you soon! We also provide wifi throughout the property. We are an 8 minute drive from Rush Off-Road - a 7,000 acre off-road park with over 100 miles of trails with new trails being opened up regularly. The RV sites can accommodate up to a 50 ft RV or trailer as well as parking for an additional car or truck. The site dimensions are 30ft wide by 60ft long. Your RV/trailer must be self-contained as we do not have a toilet onsite. The sites are flat and guests will have to back-in. Pets are welcome but you must keep them on leash.
