The idea for creating a cabin rental/camping vacation getaway in the Allegheny Mountain Range came to life over several meetings at a Bob Evans restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, between co-owners Paul Liimatta and Joe Boffo. Joe had been accumulating land in the Genoa, West Virginia, area for several years and had dreamed of building cabins, tree houses and uniquely designed vacation rentals and campsites on a beautiful area called Hampton Ridge. We loved our stay at the A-Frame. It was more secluded than expected which was nice. It is about 1/4 mile from where you park. Logan will help you haul your stuff in his Gator which was super helpful when we were leaving in the rain. We had a peaceful stay and explored Lake Hope State Park, dined at Pleasant Hill Winery, and enjoyed Jennifer's delicious homemade and locally sourced breakfast burritos.

The cabin is a little small, but it comfortably housed my wife and I. Everything was very clean with all of the amenities that we needed for the weekend. A very nice spot for a weekend retreat for two people. There's also a huge stack of western and war DVDs if you want to check those out!

The land was beautiful and well maintained. We stayed one night as a quick stop on a longer trip. Jennifer was very sweet and had the site prepped with water and fire wood for us. the bathroom was clean.
The pond was my favorite part.

We really loved the porch and deck:) perfect to sit outside, watch the sunrise and listen to the nature. What an amazing 4 day trip. We wished we could have stayed even longer! Only complaint was the grill was a little ify with no drip barrier between the flames and the propane tank from a safety stand point.. perfect get away!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay this past weekend at the Birdhouse Farm Cabin. We truly appreciated the peaceful, secluded setting it was the perfect quiet getaway. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, and the host went above and beyond by providing plenty of fresh drinking water and campfire wood. We’re already looking forward to booking another stay soon!

We had a fantastic visit to Williams cabin and land! My dog had plenty of woods to explore and my fiancé and I had the peace and serenity we were looking for. I will absolutely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a getaway from the city or just to get out in Mother Nature ! Thank you SO MUCH William, for giving us such an unforgettable memory!

Absolutely loved the little A frame cabin. So cute and cozy! There was a 5 gallon jug of water and bundles of wood (1 is included, more can be purchased!) waiting for us at camp. It was a short, but beautiful, hike to the cabin. We didn't use the outdoor shower but we did check it out - its heated! The outhouse was close to camp, that was nice. My husband loved fishing in the pond. My dog had a blast - lots of wildlife to watch and she was so curious about the goats 😂 we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

The cabin was new and had most of what we needed. It was really pretty and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I took a bath in the big soak tub and that was probably the highlight of my long weekend. It was amazing. If I were giving stars, I would give 4.5/5. I can't give it a full 5 stars because it wasn't as advertised in a few ways. I believe that some pictures got mixed together for all of the cabins. I was expecting a hot tub and a picnic table on the deck. It was still beautiful and the stars were amazing in such a dark area. William was very kind and I felt comfortable being around him. He brought me wood in a frontloadet and only charged $10 for more than enough for the weekend. to He seems to be building 4 or 5 different things at once. It was a little dusty because of the gravel road, but I was expecting that. I had wished there was more access to walking trails. There may have been some, but they were not immediately obvious. So I guess my recommendation to the host would be to adding more information about the property. There was also no wifi. I personally didn't need it. My kid was with us. They suggested starlink would probably work there, so I suggest either not saying there is wifi or getting wifi that will actually work. Great trip, mostly.

Weekend Trip to Birdhouse Farm Camp And Cabin
We loved the pond side cabin due to the privacy, beauty of the land and comfort of the adorable a-frame. During the peak heat of the day, the a-frame's pull-out hatch provided shade and easy-to-hang mosquito netting provided protection from insects.
The pond was a magical setting with a canoe and fishing gear available.
The trails were marked and mowed and really enjoyable to hike. We especially enjoyed the climb of the Pawpaw trail.
The outhouse was close-by. We did not use the shower but liked knowing it was there.
It rained the second morning and the hatch kept everything dry while allowing us to enjoy the rainfall from the comfort of bed.
It's a relatively easy hike to and from the campsite and it's quite picturesque past the farm and through the trails.
Highlights included the cutest and friendliest campsite cat and delicious breakfast burritos prepared by Jennifer and delivered right on time to our cabin.
We highly recommend this beautiful place for a getaway which is conveniently located near Strouds Run (which we visited for hiking) and Athens (which we visited for Whit's custard).

I highly recommend staying with Jennifer !! The Pond Side Cabin was absolutely beautiful and lovely. The hosts were very courteous and hospitable. The campsite itself was very private, and the versatility of being able to open/close the side of the cabin allowed for very fun and immersive nights. The food Jennifer cooked for us was professional grade and knocked out any expectations I could have had out of the park. Overall I highly recommend this campsite and I will be returning!

We had an awesome time at the cabin! William was a great host! We had to call, trying to find it late at night, and he was calm and patient helping us find the place! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Loved hiking the trails and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere! Will be recommending this place for anyone looking for a getaway!

Peaaceful, trees and sunlight, 10 different bird species singing in the morning 🐦⬛🤓; easy to find location definitely off the beaten path up some dirt roads.
Cabin was clean on bed was very comfortable.
There are trails on the land that are meant for ATVs, which I didn’t use, but I walked on them with my dog and the solitude was great
William was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. New private hot tub. I didn’t get a chance to get in it to tired from traveling. The area is gorgeous. If you have not been just riding through the countryside hills was serene.
