You'll be camping at the Off Grid Venue and Camping. We are primarily a music and events venue available for rent 1/2 days, 24 hrs or all weekend events. We only rent to Hipcampers when no events are happening therefore camping dates are limited. Situated in beautiful south-eastern Ohio, we have 69 acres of hardwood forest to explore with over 5 miles of hiking trails. We're located close to several state parks, two Vineyard/Wineries and a short hop to Athens/Ohio University Learn more about this land: We currently have 3 tent sites within a couple hundred feet of the pavilion, which offers not only one of the best camp bathrooms you've ever experienced but also a 24' X 32' sheltered area for those unexpected downpours. We are located 1 mile from route 33 and 4 miles from routes 50 & 32. There are two Vineyard/Wineries within a 3 mile radius and we're only 7 miles from Athens and Ohio University's Convocation Center and football stadium. This tiny (about 150 sq feet) eco cabin is nestled in the hills and hollows of Meigs County Ohio on 6.6 secluded acres of mostly wooded land on a private, dead end gravel lane. A superb place to bird watch, identify native plants and trees, and stargaze as the cabin is located in one of the darkest places in Ohio. Also on the property is a 16x20 camping/activities platform for your enjoyment. Our doors opened in September 2020 with the intention of creating a simple, yet functional and secluded space for individuals, couples, and groups to come together and enjoy the serenity of nature's beauty. We are one of Ohio's only openly clothing optional and naturist friendly rentals. You of course do not have to be naked during your visit, but it is a safe place to explore the naturist lifestyle if you've ever been curious! We're located about 25 minutes south of Athens, Ohio and are within 30 minutes of some of the best hiking in the state. Learn more about this land: Come get cozy in the private and secluded hills and hollows of Pomeroy, Ohio! Only 25 min south of Athens, but a world away from work, hurry, and distractions. Retreat into nature with us and return to your inner peace and wellness. WiFi free zone with 1-2 bars of reception, typically. Ohio's only openly clothing optional and naturist friendly rentals. Pet Friendly!  Dogs under 65 lbs acceptable as well as cats and other animals. Please provide pet info in request.  Maximum 2 pets, please be honest about this and do not bring more animals into this space. Guest parking is at the front gate of the property. Be prepared to walk and carry all of your belongings up a steep hill that is about 50 yards long. To access the queen bed in the loft, you will need to be able to assemble and hang up a ~40 wooden ladder to the loft. There is no outdoor lighting, so if you plan to arrive after dark, bring a bright flashlight or head lamp as you will not be able to see anything. The cabin is stocked with spices, teas, coffees, hot chocolate, and all you need to cook meals. There is a microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, and propane grill. Please DO NOT flush toilet paper. Put in lined trash bin.

Below doubles as a seating bench for meals or reading, and then at night converts into a twin-sized bed, and then just a few steps above is a second twin bed. Both of these are beside a gorgeous window offering sweeping views of a gorge of trees. Our custom coffee table doubles as your dining table, and extra prep space for cooking. Every inch of the bathroom is custom in rustic greens and browns, and is fully stocked with everything you will need for your stay. The gorgeous green tiled shower is a perfect place to wash off a day of outdoor adventures or relax and spend a few more precious minutes in the steam. Did you forget to bring shampoo, soap, toothpaste, or anything else? No worries, all of these are provided and complimentary. As you venture your way up the Treehouse steps you are welcomed into your charming and relaxing loft retreat. As you lay in the queen size luxury bed you can look out the supersized skylight to watch the tree canopy and the stars or wake up to some sunshine on your face. If you want to unwind with a movie or show, the 100-inch projection screen will come down, and you can log in to your accounts stream anything your heart desires. Your own personal home theater can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own bed or the crow’s nest suspended cargo net full of pillows and blankets. The balcony off the bedroom is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and watch the sun set over the trees and Lake Logan, or to start your day with a hot cup of coffee and listen to birds chirping among you. The large deck outside the main floor is truly your sanctuary. Eating together in a seating area among the trees is completely private. Nestled in the midst of the trees you have 360 degree views of the best nature has to offer, and there’s even a suspended net hammock for two, to lay in to view the Hills above and below, and all around you. Awe-inspiring sunsets, spectacular views of the leaves changing, bird watching, and tranquil relaxation will be your 24/7 experience. Under the Treehouse you will find a your own private grotto with 7 person hot tub, privacy screens and sitting area! Because of its location, it is protected from any weather, while still offering full-surround views of the woods and hills. (Note: if weather is extremely cold, we cannot guarantee the full hot tub temperature) Night time lighting and a variety of settings make this usable and fun in any weather, year-round. A fire pit is also available for enjoying hot dogs, s'mores and memories. The entire Treehouse is yours! This property provides a unique nature inspired getaway while offering all the modern conveniences. As you arrive at the yurt you will be welcomed by a calm and serene aesthetic. Our portico was constructed from 100 year old barn beams that were salvaged from West Virginia. This unique structure with 10 ft exterior walls and over 17 feet to the center dome was hand crafted by Blue Ridge Yurts in Floyd Virginia. Every space in this property has been custom built to create an unforgettable experience. This is the only 10 ft walled yurt in the region offering a spacious loft. Lay back and enjoy watching the clouds go by and seeing the rustling of the trees in the wind through our 5 foot dome. At night stare up at the stars as you fall asleep on your full sized queen beds with memory foam mattresses. The main floor offers a very spacious living area with in floor radiant heat system to keep you toasty warm in the winter. The space also includes a mini-split unit that offers additional heating as well as A/C in the summer months. A pull out couch is provided to accommodate any extra guest. The living area is open to the beautiful kitchen with custom made cabinets and rustic center island constructed out of old salvaged barn beams. The large marble island top provides ample space for food prep and dining. Our kitchen has all full sized appliances with large farm sink, full sized French door fridge and a convection oven. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics you would need to prepare simple dishes including cooking oil, spices, flour, sugar, basic cookware and baking utensils. A Keurig coffee machine and pods are provided as well as a drip machine with ground coffee. Our bathroom provides every convenience and luxury during your stay. A large 6 foot walk-in shower is spacious and inviting. Admire the custom built vanity also constructed from salvaged barn beams. A full sized washer and dryer are located in the nook of the bathroom and guests are welcome to use throughout their stay. Our main floor also includes the master bedroom complete with full sized queen bed with memory foam mattresses, Storage ottoman and TV. As you make your way out the back door you will find a little oasis awaiting. Our patio area provides privacy and the opportunity to relax in nature. Soak in the 6 person hot tub or gather around the fire pit in the evenings with friends and family. A 6 person dining set is a perfect place to enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee in the morning. This property was thoughtfully created to provide a unique and special experience for each and every one of our guests no matter what the occasion. By bringing nature to the center of the design we hope to offer a place of relaxation, rejuvenation and comfort to you and your family. We can’t wait to see you at the Butterfly Yurt!
