It was a great stop! It was cozy and warm and perfect for our stop on the way to Indiana dunes national park.

1 night at Heartland Homestead

Heartland was perfect for me stopping through on my road trip! I was able to pull my car directly to the site and set up my SUV tailgate tent. I arrived after dark so it was a little difficult to find the entrance, I only had to turn around once, but during the day the entrance is clearly labeled and it is just before the Equestrian property they mentioned. It was a safe and quiet spot for the night and I would absolutely stay again!

I loved tent camping here. I enjoyed hiking around the property. I hope to come back in every season. You have to order the cinnamon rolls, delicious!! I really enjoyed the solitude.

Second time here and would stay more often if I wasn't six hours away, great peaceful place that is out in the country but really close to the neat town of Millersburg which has not only all the old interesting parts of town but a modern outskirts with 100% anything you need. We tented again but did check out the new cabins Matt offers and they look super neat with wood stove and all!!

Donna’s Hallstead Camp Cabin was exactly what I needed—a quiet, peaceful place to rest during a work trip. Even in February, the cabin was warm, comfortable, and had everything I needed for some simple indoor cooking. The bed was cozy, and the cabin itself was beautiful. Though I didn’t get to use the fire pit due to rain, it would have made for a great evening. I fell asleep in complete silence and woke up to the soothing sound of rain on the roof—absolute perfection. The pathway back to the cabin is easy to navigate, and the setting is just so peaceful. I may return with my family one day to enjoy it even more!

Loved the cabin! We had everything we needed and it was cozy and warm even though temps were below freezing. It was a peaceful snow scape with birds and deer. We will definitely consider staying here again if we're in the area! And thank you, Shiloh ♥️

Weekend Trip to Tranquil Acres Cabins

We had a great time spending our weekend at Cozy Pine Cabin for my Husband’s birthday. The area was beautiful and peaceful. The cabins were also not too close from each other which is great! We enjoyed being in the Hot tub on a cold weather, We love the amenities especially the outdoor gas grill, fire pit (with free fire wood), whirlpool tub for two and many more!! I was also impressed with the host for being so responsive and for granting our request to make our stay convenient and memorable. Truly a star host! ✅Self check in and check out ✅Functional amenities ✅Good smelling sheets/linen ✅Very responsive and accommodating host Looking forward to be back in summer and see what activities they can offer! 👍

Wonderful little cabin. The hosts were also very accommodating and one can tell that they have been doing this for a while, because all was explained before hand and nothing was needed. I definitely recommend. If the opportunity arises, I would consider coming back.

This really is a must visit cabin! Pj was a huge help when my wife and I and of course our fur baby came to stay during the new years. The cabin was so cozy, clean, and just perfect for some much needed relaxation. We will be back for sure!

Was the most beautiful cabin I have been to. Mr Pj was awesome I can't wait to get back there. Me and my daughter spent Christmas here and it was magical. They even had a Christmas 🎄 waiting on us. I came this Christmastime because of a review about Christmastime 2023. Donna goes all out with tasteful holiday decor. The flames from the very adequate heater add to the charm. I was lucky to get a dusting of snow. I never met Donna, but this is a show of trust and respect for privacy. The guestbooks confirm that this is also a special place for couples and children.

A beautiful place to disconnect and enjoy time in nature. The place is super cozy. Even our 2 year old & 4 month old enjoyed it. Our dog loved the open area she could run off leash safely & explore. Nothing but positives to say. The hosts are super friendly; making sure you’ve got everything you need!

Couldn't have had a better stay at a nicer place. The cabin had everything we could have needed. A full kitchen, nicely stocked, a full bathroom, and a beautiful view. Outside is set up perfect for a nice fire. Quiet, private stay. Hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. 10/10 recommend.

The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 8 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. He enjoys traveling in many places in the States and the Caribbean islands and loves finding places off of the beaten path and not commercialized. Because of his interest and love for primitive camping he decided to open the campground in order to provide the same opportunity as a getaway primitive camping location that he tries to find when he travels. There is lots of history of Native Americans, and the first settlers in this area ( there is a great outdoor play based on a true story called Trumpet in the Land about 30 min from our location) On our farm you may still be able to find arrow heads in the creek bottoms! There is lots of wildlife that may wander through your camp site. The air is full of fresh Country smells. Some tame animals that you will see are Lowline cows ( miniature cows), Chickens, Pigs, Miniature Donkeys, Dogs, Cats.
