Lake Wateree, a 13,250-acre lake with unspoiled natural views, was created by the damming of the Wateree River in 1920. It is located about 30 miles northeast of Columbia, just east of I-77. The lake is owned and managed by Duke Power and is surrounded by three counties: Fairfield, Kershaw, and Lancaster. One of South Carolina's oldest man-made lakes, Lake Wateree is known for crappie, bass, catfish, and bream fishing. The 242 miles of shoreline include a bird refuge, the Lake Wateree State Recreation Area and State Park, and Carolina Adventure World for Recreational ATV and dirt bike riding. Cedar Grove RV Site is a peaceful single site that offers full hookups with a nice gravel pad. The site overlooks our 22 acre farm with beautiful rolling hills, cows, goats and chickens. There are some homes nearby but the site is nestled back on it own private acreage. We are within 10 minutes of York, 20 Minutes from Clover, 15 minutes from Kings Mountain, 25 minutes from Lake Wylie and ~30 minutes from both Gastonia and Rock Hill. This is a great central location to go hiking, boating, fishing, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and shopping...... or to just sit back, relax and enjoy the country farm life. Please note that you have to be at least 24 years old to rent this site and own a valid drivers license.

The site was amazing and the only one allowing for great privacy. The site also has full hook ups, great water pressure and the star gazing was wonderful. Starlink had plenty of open sky to connect us to work with a 99.8% connection. We will absolutely be coming back while visiting family in the area. Thank you Chad and Julie for the amazing stay. We look forward to the next visit! 😊

Loved our stay over the holiday weekend. Nice and quiet area near the state park. The hosts checked in to welcome us and gave us fresh eggs. Chickens, ducks, quail, peacocks and guinea on the property to enjoy and saw deer three times. Nice cove to kayak and paddleboard around the island. Look forward to coming back soon.

The land was absolutely beautiful. The fishing was fantastic. Ann and Jack had tons of wood for a fire everynight. Ann brought us a dozen of fresh eggs from her chickens. It was so peaceful. I highly recommend staying on their property. You will not regret it.

2 nights at Cedar Grove Farm RV Site

We had a great stay at Cedar Grove Farm. Set up for couple nights. Nice fire pit area. The 4 cows were nice and quiet. And seemed to enjoy our presence. Sunsets were beautiful. The spot was just a little tricky to get in and out of but only because i didn’t want to get into the grass too much. Julie and Chad checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed
