The resort is currently in Phase One, a soft opening that offers guests a preview of what is to come. This phase features ten cozy rental cabins and exceptionally large, full-hookup RV sites equipped with 50-amp electric service, water, sewer, and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property. During this phase, guests can enjoy reduced pricing while select amenities are still under construction.
Now open is the resort’s beautiful new Clubhouse, which includes a welcoming reception area, coffee bar, single-serve wine and beer bar, and a well-stocked store offering RV and camping supplies, snacks, beverages, and souvenirs. Additional clubhouse features include restrooms, a laundry facility, area attraction information, customer service, a comfortable common lounge with a 70-inch television, a community bulletin board, and more.
Current amenities include a basketball court, pickleball court, dog park, cornhole, playground and more. In the coming months, guests will also enjoy exciting new additions such as live entertainment, outdoor movies, a zero-entry swimming pool with wet deck and water features, gazebos, landscaped foliage, horseshoes, and expanded sports options including tournaments.
Once construction is fully completed, the resort’s Activities and Entertainment Coordinator will lead a variety of structured activities for all ages throughout the year. My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy.
We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent!
There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee.
A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite.
Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable.
I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also.
Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground.
Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details.
Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

Paul’s Golden Spot Hip Camp was a favorite location for us. We had gone up to NC to visit relatives and he was in a great location for a great price. We were happy to have water and electric hookup and a dump location when we were finished with our four night stay.
Gold Hill is a charming little town and has some nice hiking trails.
Paul is extremely friendly and helpful. His home is amazing!
We will choose his quiet and spacious location again if it’s available the next time we’re in the area.

Stayed one night. just needed a safe place to sleep. Lots of privacy and multiple places to setup. I got in late around 10:30 but was setup and in my sleeping bag by 11:30 pm and slept straight through to 6 am.

Lucky Farms Under the Stars was an incredible stay. The land was beautiful, clean, and spacious. There were walking trails through the woods that led to other sites, the communal campfire, a rope swing, and more. My dog loved running in the grassy field. It was so quiet and peaceful, and at night there were amazing views of the stars. The bathrooms were spotless. The muffins were delicious and made a perfect breakfast treat. An animal had gotten into the first batch of muffins before we got back late, and Taylor had another batch waiting for us the next morning. An overall wonderful experience. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I loved tent camping on David’s land. I set up next to the creek. The shared working toilet outhouse was convenient. It felt very private. Lots of firewood. Very peaceful. Communication with David was seamless.

I loved camping by the waterfalls and sleeping with sounds of the water cascading over the rocks. Very clean and private. Highly recommend. Scott was very nice and supplied some firewood for the firepit.
