5 nights at Legacy Farms Leisure Area

I have to say, I was coming to stay alone with my 4 yr old, and I was so scared and nervous on my way there. Im from South Florida, so this isnt normal roads to me. Anyways all the bad was going thru my head, I arrived all overwelmed exhausted, and anxious. As soon as I met Liz, I felt a weight off my chest, and I knew I would be fine. Tom and Liz were amazing, I felt like I was with my grandparents after a few days. <3 My little one was petting the horses everyday, she would go up to them freely. Amazing place to be surrounded by animals. I look forward to returning again.

4 nights at Blue Moon Lake House NC 🏕️

We loved this cabin! The directions were clear- the exterior was so cool- so many places to sit and enjoy relaxation time or conversation. A double kayak was provided for fun exploring. Inside, the place was immaculate! So welcoming and so well presented. Cozy bedrooms, clean and well stocked kitchen. The upstairs loft bedroom was so comfortable- with a comfy chair to put your feet up and read in by big sliding glass doors overlooking a porch. Coffee out on the porch in the mornings was to die for. There were even robes with sleeping masks! My kids and I had an amazing time. Thank you to Anna for a great experience!

1 night at Lindsay Grapes

I had such a wonderful overnight “glamping” in this precious little house! I had some time outside in the hammock and also enjoyed a fire in the pit (with all things needed provided) after dinner. Anything I may have needed during my stay was provided, so no worries on this trip! The only negative were the loud vehicles kinda racing from the 🛑 very close by, but that’s all.

I really enjoyed my experience with my family. Everything was clean and well kept. Even with summer, mosquitos weren't rampant. They have 3 or 4 other units on the property and they're all well spaced out. The tent was a great condition. The kitchen included a small fridge and a small coffee maker and some mugs, plates, and bowls. The game room was a lifesaver. Our dog enjoyed her time as well as she got to run around the property to explore. She's good about being called and coming to us, but for others, I'd recommend really knowing your dog because the property isn't fenced in and they could just run off into the woods. Plenty of shaded areas. The game room was a lifesaver because it had room for us to just lounge around and play games and watch TV. Don't judge, we chose glamping this time for a reason! Lol the long swing was fun. We also found a full size corn hole set, ax throwing (plastic), and as much ice as you could need for your stay. It was a wonderful time. The only BIG thing you should consider is how much there is to do in the immediate area (not much). So either plan to stay on property the whole time you're here, or be sure everything is at a reasonable distance. This is a great spot to just get away.

The bathroom and The Alice were both clean. Due to its location, wooded area, there were a lot of bugs (spiders, roaches, etc) inside both. That was expected but disturbing. The “game room” on the property was really nice and had games and a tv for movie night. We would definitely return. However, non of us were ever able to connect to the WiFi. Even at the game room. So that was disappointing since one of us looked forward to working on a novel. But in general, we had a great time. Also, we were able to communicate via the App if there were any issues.

We love the Tent that we stayed in. We are lucky that it was only us who were staying in the whole place that day. The place is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We had our dinner in their bbq station and we enjoyed it! A lot of activities around to enjoy. We will definitely be back next time and will bring more friends to stay!

The Yellow Submarine as great. I had a very relaxing time and the property was beautiful. The unit had everything needed for the weekend and never had to leave. Thank you Kathy. Missy and Allan were great as well.

This was awesome, it has all the great things about camping. Nice outdoor spaces, fire pits, big communal spaces, but without the 'roughing it' due to air conditioning, nice showers, etc. I'd have a hard time getting my wife to go camping but she'd do this all the time!

My son and I had a great stay. He loved meeting the animals and had a nice relaxing stay. We had everything we needed on the premises to keep us entertained. He loved the cup of strawberry ice cream we bought at the farm store.

We camped in Clover and facility are very good and clean. We enjoyed our stay. Kids had lot of fun. Enjoy nearby hiking places like Raven Rock State park, San-Lee Park.

We had such a wonderful time in Liz’s RV! Our kids (ages 6, 4, and 1) absolutely loved getting to see and pet and feed all of the animals. Baby goat Smidge and corgis Harrison Ford and Princess Leia were adorable, the horses were gorgeous, the atmosphere was fun and relaxing, and Liz was friendly and helpful. Definitely do the farm orientation tour!! If you want to do something more city-like, Fayetteville is just half an hour drive away and has a darling downtown and an amazing (and free!) Airborne and Special Operations Museum. The kids are already asking if we can go back to Miss Liz’s farm again!

What an awesome property, and wonderful hosts. Lots of space to spread out, disc golf baskets on site, a pond for fishing, not missing anything for a great weekend outdoors. Will go back for sure

Weekend Trip to The Cozy Heron Glamping

The wagons were so nice and conveniently located right near the restaurant and water. The beds were super comfy, and the room was so cozy. The AC worked perfectly keeping the place cool. The gas black stone grill was a nice surprise!! The staff kept the bath houses fully stocked with towels and other essentials. And the restaurant next door was a huge hit. The staff was lovely and very accommodating for our large crew of 17 for lunches and dinners. We will definitely be back!! We had the best time!

My family and I enjoyed staying at Swamp Rose wagon! The AC was so nice in the wagon, especially at night! The accessibility of the firewood was a nice touch. We enjoyed The River Adventures each day. After a long day of play it was great having a vibrant, tasty restaurant to dine at! Can't wait to go back next year with our crew!!

We had a great time glamping at Cyrus! It was a cozy glamping tent. When we arrived, we had everything we needed. The family room was also convenient and fun way to spend our time. There was also a grill on site. The little walking trail was easy to follow. The kids loved the swing the most !

The Saxapahaw Country Club is a beautiful 31-acre working farm and event space. Located just a few minutes from Saxapahaw Village, it's a convenient and gorgeous place to stay. While we are happy to be a late-night crash spot for after shows at the Haw River Ballroom, we hope you stay a minute to walk the fields, hang in the hammocks, sit by the pond, or take a swing from the branches of our 200 year old White Oak tree. You'll come down our curvy driveway through the trees, and see our event barn on the left. In front of the barn is a communal space for campers to enjoy with a great view. This area has a fire pit, chairs, wood-fired grill, handwashing station, and farm table. The shared outhouse/composting toilet is next to the pine stand with a white roof. Please note, this farm stay is an agritourism activity subject to the limit of liabilities as described in N.C.G.S § 99E‑32(b). We have sheep and pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. You are welcome to look but don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats. Pork and lamb from the farm is available for purchase, as well as kiln-dried firewood. Nearby activities: Entertainment: Catch big acts at the nearby Haw River Ballroom venue or enjoy free live music at Saturdays in Saxapahaw. Shop vintage, records, VHS and more at Saxy-a-Go-Go. Support local artists at the Riverside Collective. Eats/Drinks: Cup 22 Coffee House and The Eddy Pub overlook the river. Haw River Farmhouse Ales, and the Saxapahaw General Store. We carved our 43 acre horse farm out of wild swampy land in 2007 and finished the barndeminium in 2008. We started with Hipcamp 6 years ago & enjoy meeting new people. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade or make our farm more fun to visit.
