Weekend Trip to TangleWood Creekside Campsites

Campsite was beautiful! Well water tasted fresh, porta potty was super clean and Blair mentioned he will have a bath house later this year. We loved how spread out the campsites were and felt very private with out own little creek. The creek crossing was mild and stock forester and 4runner had no issues crossing.

Daffodil Bank had plenty of room for our family of 5. 2 tents, 1 single person tent, canopy tent with our folding table plus the camps picnic table, 2 cars, and a couple places for a hammock. All that set up and still have space to move around. The Porta potty was very clean and not far from our site at all. The creek was beautiful. Everyone had a very nice time. So sad we had to leave, but we will definitely be back ♡

This place is amazing. Lots of sites to choose from with privacy. The winding creek the most sites are on give great views from each. Blair is a great host when something was needed. Looking forward to my next trip already booked.

We had a great time tent camping by the river. Pet friendly place. Clean bathhouse, and owner available on site if needed. The campsite was beautiful and so peaceful.

Blair’s piece of land is a piece of heaven. Everything is so clean and clearly cared for. I stayed in a safari tent solo and felt safe. I’ve been camping in many places all over the country and this is in my top favorites. I will say if you are looking for true seclusion, you’d be able to see other campers (if they’re there) and once in a while you can hear a car go by. But it’s quiet and peaceful and for me, someone who loves being “off grid”, it was wonderful. If I’m ever back in the area I will absolutely 100% return! Thank you Blair for everything.

Falling asleep to the sound of the creek was so relaxing. The light pollution is very minimal so you can see so many stars and the planets! The creekside safari tent is always perfect and the daffodils are so pretty! Can’t wait to get back!

We loved our stay at the Little Cabin! My boys loved playing in the creek and exploring the property. They have done so much work after Helene and it’s looking great! Very close to gem mining and we enjoyed hiking to Tom’s Creek Falls. Blair was very helpful and accommodating. My husband had to work at the Starlink worked perfectly from the cabin. Looking forward to coming back for tent camping! Thank you!

Always a great experience. My first time in the cabin and it was clean and comfortable. The grounds are great and of course the creek was beautiful.

This property and safari tent was absolutely perfect for our family and dogs! For starters the property is so perfect. Plenty of trails so we never had to leave to find adventure. It has a lovely stream that runs through it that the kids had a blast playing in (even in February). The tent provided the essentials for us to glamp and the owner was always just a message away. Lastly, it is situated nicely between local attractions so if you want to adventure around it doesn’t take up your whole day. 10/10 recommend!

I enjoyed camping on the river at Site #2. It was quiet and exactly what I needed. Having close access to water and a bathroom for primitive camping was really nice. I will return.

This place is amazing. I was there in the off season (7-9 feb) and I was completely alone. AMAZING. The camp sites aren't on top of each other. Perfect. Ive paid much less for sites with shower facility and restrooms but the privacy is worth the extra $. The big hiking trails are about an hour away which is annoying when I drove over 3 hours to get there but the drive was worth the privacy. Had trouble finding it after dark. Partly my fault bit there isn't any real markings to let you know you're there. I wish there was a place to take my trash when I left, but all of these are small issues compared to the beauty of the property and the space between each site. Creek is so nice!!! Port a jon was CLEAN (THANK YOU)!!! Ill be back.

A rocky creek winds through the woods at the base of several hikable peaks hidden just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Wildlife enthusiasts are encouraged to explore, on foot or mountain-bike, anywhere within our 170 acres (or the adjoining 250 acres owned by the US Forestry Service off our Western border) and are likely to catch glimpses of turkey, beaver, deer, fox, eastern box turtle and the many species of songbird and raptor. The location is convenient to tons of local attractions for sightseeing and outdoor activities as well as shopping, dining, even wine tasting. We would be happy to supply a comprehensive list of the various local attractions upon request but the following are a few of our favorite things to do within a short drive: visit Linville Falls, Caverns, Gorge and/or Winery; drive the Blue Ridge parkway; tube/kayak down the Catawba river; hike beautiful Crabtree Falls; cross Grandfather Mountains mile high bridge and explore the nearby towns of Spruce Pines or Little Switzerland.
