We had a wonderful night in the campground. The camp host was a delight. She was very informative, helpful, and accommodating. The facilities were all nice & clean. We loved watching the fish in the river by our campsite.

Great spot. Very quiet place. Driveway has a little speed bump and the road is a bit narrow but we backed in just fine. Short walk to the shower house/bathroom. Didn’t use any other facility. Would recommend!

Sort of a tight park, but the price is right and there are lots of amenities. The site we had (113) was in a low spot but we were able to level up in our motorhome Tiffin Allegro Open Road TGA (35ft long) with no problems.

The location is very convenient to the National Park, the main drag of Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. We spent 3 nights here with two full days devoted to exploring the park. We enjoyed the full hookups for our Class B van and took advantage of the shower rooms. It is compact but very quiet - perhaps surprisingly so. Great value overall.

Things to do for kids in summer, There seems to be mostly retired people here. The upkeep of the park is very nice. Close to Gatlinburg but not to close. Electric, water and cable are to the back of the site. Fire ring has a grill attachment. All in all a nice site.

If you're looking for a no-frills yet convenient place to stay while exploring the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area, Holy Smokies Campground might be just what you need. This small, low-key campground has all the essentials for a pleasant stay, including full hookups, level sites, and clean, new shower facilities. While there aren’t fire pits available, each site features a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying the great outdoors and unwinding after a day of adventures.
One of the standout features of Holy Smokies is the seamless arrival process. Before our trip, we received a text detailing our assigned site along with door codes for the shower houses and laundry. There was no need for a traditional check-in, which made our experience even more smooth and hassle-free.
Upon arrival, we encountered a minor issue with the water at our site. However, reaching out to the Host proved to be easy; they arrived promptly and resolved the issue in minutes. It's clear that the Hosts are dedicated to improving the campground and ensuring guests have an enjoyable stay.
We were assigned Site 2, conveniently located near the access road. While this meant occasional noise and headlights, the campground has installed a privacy fence that mitigates some of those disturbances. The site is level and offers a mix of partial to full sun.
Recommended for a budget friendly, convenient location to local attractions.

Great little spot conveniently located between two entry points to the national park. Lovely little area for anyone looking to relax with kiddos by the pool, play putt-putt golf or just hang out and relax at the site. While our visit was primarily to go hiking, the grounds were very clean and dog friendly. The owner was prompt to answer questions and even allowed us to stay an additional night last minute. Very clean and updated bathrooms!

While Mother Nature decided to rain most of the days we were there unfortunately, we still enjoyed our stay. The RV hookups were readily available and the site was very easy to level ... didn't need any leveling equipment. Only suggestion would be to control a few weeds around the hookups but not sure it's the owner's or HOA's responsibility. We'd definitely rent again and thank the owner for allowing us to rent.

We are very grateful to Robyn and the staff at Winding Stair Campground for making our 2025 Men's Retreat a success. The property is quiet, offering beautiful views and a nearby river. The facilities are clean, and the staff is extremely hospitable and attentive. Robyn and Heath were there to greet us upon arrival. Heath checked on us the second day. Our group of five arrived with three cars and had more than enough space to spread out our tents, utilize the fire pit and lounge chairs that were provided, as well as the wooden outdoor kitchen. We will definitely plan to return again next summer.

What a great place to stay for a weekend! Was closed to the town to visit and tour around, but also the location was great just to enjoy! Got to visit their farm and loved the mill. The bathrooms were well stocked and very clean. Having a shower was great, especially if your kids play in the river as much as ours did. Would highly recommend this place. We plan on coming back in the future.

It was small but easy to find things. The showers are newer and very clean. I like it when the shower and toilet are together for ease.
