My farm had been untouched for years and only used as hay farming. It is rolling hills known by the locals as "Butterfly Hill" Which the farm is home to many species of butterflies in the summer. I know the area was inhabited by native Americans many decades ago. I have found a few broken arrow heads over the years. The farm is beautiful and quiet. I have a beautiful hiking trail around the property for you to take your fur babies on. The cabin is right on a beautiful stream too. There are several state parks nearby and river tubing within 10 -30 minutes. Hot showers and potable water just a few feet away.

Located in the tranquil, natural woodlands of our historic family farm. There are 30 acres of hiking trails with remnants of what once was an 80 acre old fashioned family tobacco farm. There are plenty of level areas covered in lush grass and surrounded by trees as old as dirt! The Honeymoon Sweet provides an indoor experience. It was built by my Uncle Frank who cut the wood off the land and milled it into the lumber he needed to make this unique, rustic space. There is a rock fire pit with lots of easily accessible firewood. The vintage camper was located in a quiet, peaceful location. It has the quaintness expected with a camper of this period. We enjoyed the privacy and the open space surrounding it. The soft chicken and rooster noise was welcome. The owner was quick to respond to any issues and quite kind as well as thoughtful. We were practically within Hanging Rock State Park so this camper stay made it easy for us to explore but still have a comfortable place to return.

I stayed at The Love Shack this weekend and had a wonderful experience. Wendy was a wonderful host—thoughtful, welcoming, and clearly dedicated to creating a beautiful space for her guests. She even cleared the leaves off the trail before I arrived, which made for such a lovely walk through the woods. I spotted a deer along the way which was nice.
The A-frame shelter was cozy and warm. I enjoyed the most relaxing nap in the hammock. I highly recommend!

We were four families who spent a weekend at Sugar Neck, and honestly, it was such a perfect escape. Having the entire place to ourselves made it feel extra special — it’s an amazing setup for a group getaway.
The tents are beautiful, super comfortable, and the bathrooms are neat, private, and way nicer than you’d expect for glamping. We couldn’t have asked for more. In fact, we loved it so much we’ve already booked another weekend for next week!
The host was excellent at communicating and made everything smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend Sugar Neck for anyone looking for a peaceful, cozy, group-friendly glamping spot.

We had a great time at the love shack! It was perfectly cozy, and Wendy has done such a wonderful job creating an accommodative experience that really feels unique. The shack itself was more spacious than I expected, and the setting was beautiful, were very grateful that Wendy would share her beautiful land with the public! Even though it rained we were able to stay warm and dry. It was a really great place to stay, and I hope we get another chance to visit.

We loved our stay at the Loveshack and if you’re thinking of booking this spot, DO IT! The property is stunning, with trails steps away from the Shack and a babbling brook. The bed slept wonderfully and even with 42° temperature nightly lows, we were comfortable with an extra blanket from home. Wendy is a wonderful host who is attentive and respectful. We also brought our beagle, who had a blast playing in the stream and exploring the property with us. Wendy also provided some boardgames and some basic cookware for guests to use as well, which came in handy when we realized our camp stove was broken! We couldn’t have asked for more relaxing, magical, and nature filled weekend. We genuinely cannot wait to come back!

This place is so beautiful! The scavenger hunt was adorable and so much fun. And the little pool in the creek was so cold and relaxing on a hot summer day! Waking up every morning and opening the side of the cabin and listening to the sounds of nature was so calm and peaceful. It was the perfect first vacation with my fiance and we will definitely be coming back! Thank you Wendy for such a magical experience!
